Anyone else who thinks that 4th place is still within reach for Man U?

If Leicester takes the win today, they're up 7 points. I can't see them screw that up anymore.

And Vardy should get a statue if they bag it.

Does look to be theirs, but Chelsea and United still to play.

Well I think we all knew it was happening but Chelsea have now confirmed Antonio Conte as new manager on a three year deal and he will take over after the Euros as he is the current Italy head coach, definitely a good move as his record as a club boss is pretty fantastic....

Well Juventus is one yes, don't know the other, he managed Bari and Siena before Juve....

So, a question for @Famine:
What will you do if (and I know this is a big if) Wednesday go up? You've never been shy to share your feelings about the Prem league, but what with the Owls in legitimate danger of possibly making it up there, how will you bring yourself to watch?
Through a haze of disgust, I suppose.

That's the one he was banned for...

In the Match of the Day small highlights section, I expect. And for one season only :D

Not the best timing that Chelsea announce Conte, someone who was alleged to have doped and was part of a Juve team found guilty of doping, to be their new manager, a day after Chelsea have been accused of doping.

But y'know, it's Chelsea.

Rangers promoted back to the Scottish Premiership as Champions of the Championship...

The usual tightness of the Championship continues. 2pts between the top 3. 3pts between 16th and 21st, of which we're in.

I'm really concerned about our position and form. 4pts from the last 10 games. 6 games left and 9pts clear of the relegation zone. Charlton have had some okay results of late, we need a win from somewhere. We're in the worst form of that group above the relegation zone and MK Dons on the last day, please let that not be a "winner stays up" game.

Really think sacking Freedman at that point was stupid, but heyho.

I thought hiring him was stupid, but hey ho.

Forest have, supposedly, had quite a bit of cash to burn these last few years yet they've wasted it on managers like Freedman, O'Driscoll, Cotterill, Pearce and McClaren. Surely they could have brought someone in who's... y'know, good?

Oh joy. Now to put up with months of 'Scottish Football is saved!!' until next season starts and they struggle to 4th or something.

Also, can't wait for my season ticket price to go up in price for the 'old firm' (use that term loosely) matches.

He was never my choice, but he did "okay" given the restrictions of FFP, something that was out of his hands due to mismanagement at a higher level and with some key injuries delivering a double whammy. Most teams would struggle with a 20-goal a season striker injured for a year, let alone when they can only bring in loans.

Some way off what Billy Davies did, but probably ahead of most of the rest in recent times.

Games this weekend

Saturday
Aston Villa v Bournemouth
Crystal Palace v Norwich
Man City v West Brom (5.30 Sky)
Southampton v Newcastle
Swansea v Chelsea
Watford v Everton
West Ham v Arsenal (12.45 BT)

Sunday
Liverpool v Stoke
Sunderland v Leicester (1.30 Sky)
Tottenham v Man United (4pm Sky)

I have read this week that if Leicester beat Sunderland and Spurs-United is a draw then Leicester are guaranteed Champions League Football next season....

We could should see Aston Villa relegated today if they get a worse result than Norwich do.

Arsenal have done an Arsenal... again. 3-3, pretty entertaining game from the looks of it, Arsenal let a 0-2 lead go to fall 3-2 behind but they managed to claw a point back.

Meh!... It was very entertaining play, but we had them beat from the start, it should have been a 5-2 result. Arsenal always get the squeeze by wrong call ref blundering. :irked:

We couldn't handle the height, and a bit of awful defending added to that.

So please Arsene get a defender who has some height but doesn't have the pace of Mertesacker. I would love to see either Mustafi, Koulibaly, Rudiger, Manolas or Tah at the club.

Fantastic result for Swansea, beating Chelsea now means we have hit the magical 40 points mark and that should mean another season of PL Football 👍

Another goal for Sigurdsson too, nine in fourteen for him now and he has to be our player of the season, we would be in real trouble without him, good support for the Steelworkers bwefore and during the game as well 👍
