Pochettino must've said SOMETHING to his players to make them play like that. It just seemed like they didn't put in any effort for most of the game.

Oh, he said something... last week, I believe. Not aimed at his players per se, but it got to them all the same. Some people would argue that they've had nothing to play for since the Chelsea game, but finishing above Arsenal would have meant a lot. The gloating from more then a few Arsenal supporters in the coming days will be evidence of that. :indiff:

The bomb was a hoax as it turns out, they are calling it an 'extremely lifelike explosive device', the reaction from everyone at Old Trafford was fantastic though, still no word on the replay date.

Rafa Benitez has already held talks with Mike Ashley over his future.

Mike Ashley needs to meet the demands of Benitez if he wants Newcastle to have a chance in getting back into the Premiership. Rafa's recent results have more than proven his worth that he should be remained there for another season.

It was a phone wasn't it?

Fantastic atmosphere at St James Park today. I've sat in the Gallowgate for over 10 years and can't really remember a better atmosphere than that. And for a club that are already relegated it was amazing to see. We as fans have done our part in letting Benitez know how much we want him to stay, it's up to Fat Mike to now do the correct thing and promise him anything he wants. Even though we have been relegated NUFC have not had an oppurtunity like this in decades. Not since SBR have we had a manager of this stature. To lose him after only ten games would be disastrous.

Being the big name that he is, and what he has done in the past, if he stays or goes, it's a fair enough decision either way.

I would have liked Spurs to care a bit more after they went out of the title race, but fair enough, still a great season.

Congrats Arsenal, and enjoy keeping Giroud next season.

Finishing above Spurs is hilarious and all but this season has been awful. Simply not good enough, the mentality of some of the match going fans cheering for Arsene Wenger after messing our season yet again is strange.

Big thanks to Arteta, TR7 and Flamini for their services to the club. Will miss these guys....... well two of them.

Just been announced that the fake device was actually left there accidently by a private bomb training crew after carrying out a practice on an earlier date. This is why it looked so realistic.

Mother of all facepalms...

A private bomb training crew? what the hell is that? and did they have permission to do that at the stadium? I'm assuming so....

Also coming out of Spurs this morning is news that Ryan Mason and Tom Carroll are being transfer listed. Fairly sad, as they are local lads who support the club as well as play for it and as much as I wanted them to be, they just aren't good enough for a top 4 PL team. I really hope they do well in the future, same as Townsend.
I think Mason proved today that he isn't good enough anyway. We need a Dembele replacement, either Bentaleb or a new player.

Genuinely can't wait for next season, this team can now beat anyone.(when they actually bother)

I hope that some new players are bought, namely Batshuayi, Witsel and maybe Jamaal Lascelles from Newcastle, although he wouldn't see much game time.

I presume so, I think Man U as part of their own private security arrangements hire private bomb crews to go over the stadium and they will ever so often need to practice with the sniffer dogs etc. This was carried out probably due to the big terriost attack drill which the Police did in the Old Trafford shopping centre a few days ago.

The most embarrassing thing anyone could be for the past three years is a Manchester United fan. Just like me.

Crazy situation at Old Trafford - ironically it will have provided a serious test of Old Trafford's evacuation procedures, and it looks like they did a good job. Shame for the fans but hopefully everyone who was at the game will get to see the replay.

Also, this:

All tickets from Sunday will be valid for Tomorrow and there will be free entry too, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Stadium isn't full, we can realistically finish fourth, the best we can do is finish fifth, who wants to be there to see that?!, plus the Bournemouth fans have to make the long journey up north again so I doubt their allocation will be full this time around.
