I'll have one with I4 turbo and 6-speed manual.

I quite like it, if that 360 is accurate.

Having a larger glass rear quarter than the current Mustangs makes a big difference - and there's something about the proportions that suggests there's more DLO than the previous few generations. Which is quite nice, because if there's one thing they need to bring back from older cars it's having a bit more glass around you.

It's less slab-sided too. Ironically, despite the design being less retro than before, there's a delicacy about this design which is much closer to the originals than it is to the increasingly inflated last couple of generations. The big wheels in the render probably help - I'm not sure it'll look quite so athletic as a base V-6 model.

As Slip says above though, it's a cleaner shape - less extraneous fuss than the current car. Which again, is good.

I fall half way between Toro and Joey on this though. I was worried like Joey that it'd be just another retro pastiche effort, but there's probably enough modernity and enough traditional Mustang in there to keep most parties happy.

I actually like the look of the 2015 mustang and I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do on the track. I bet it'll be epic.

Everybody does realize this is a 3D rendering and not the actual car, correct? I highly doubt the stock wheels and brakes will be do ridiculously huge, first of all.

I really hope the beam projectors are more towards the outside of the headlight housing and aren't all cross-eyed like the current car.

That would be sweet but I really hope they revive the Mach 1 name.
As a mid level model between the GT and SVT Cobra sure. As a replacement for the SVT Cobra no way! Honestly I wish the GT500 would have been called SVT Cobra instead.

I have heard rumors that there could be a Mach I mustang this coming gen actually. I also heard that they're going to make the Shelby GT350 the SVT model.

They confirmed the GT 350 would be there IIRC.

I believe the current hierarchy implies:

3.7L V6 Base < 2.3T I4 "SVO" < GT 5.0L V8 < Mach 1 (unknown V8) < GT350 SVT 5.8L T

Oh yeah, I've heard about the SVO model being rumored to return as well. If that ends up being true or is true; that would make me happy. I loved the SVO mustang.

No confirmation of anything S550 yet just rumors IIRC. I kinda hope its wrong. I love the classic names but SVT Cobra deserves a comeback. Plus I think it means more to my generation than GT350. I would hate for Ford to become like GM where they just rely on historical names and keep rehashing them over and over and over again ( the LT1 engine name for example)

If history repeats itself, the Mach 1 will replace the GT, like it did in 1969.

Im 95% sure Ford said it was coming back but I'm probably wrong.

You can read my reasoning from a few pages back, but I doubt Ford will go that route. Thirty-odd years of marketing behind the GT branding doesn't really suggest that they'd throw it out the window.
