It can be repainted or you can put a vinyl on it.. Who cares about the color as long as its black, all I want is more info on the 4banger turbo.

Paint is expensive. 90%* of the cars here are 50 different colors for a reason.

*About 20% are taxis.

I don't want to go dump another couple thousand to have my brand new car sand blasted and repainted. I wish they'd offer a wide variety of colors like the 1960s. I'm tired of these crappy colors.

A few like land rover, jaguar, aston martin and rolls royce do offer spectrum paint charts but at a hefty cost. Thats why you can get them new in pretty much any colour. Pay for the premium i guess.

It shouldn't have to be that way though. Anything to make a buck I guess though.

This isn't 1984

What exactly is the I-4 that they are using?

Hopped up version of the engine used in the Focus ST.

Uh, kinda, but not quite.

I seem to remember hearing that the 2.3L unit is "all-new" (likely marketing speak) and was designed with the Mustang in mind. The same engine, albeit with a lower tune, will be the standard option in the Lincoln MKC. It seems fairly likely that it will see duty in the new Ford Edge as well, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it show up in the Taurus eventually as well.

They are probably referring to RWD configuration IE Turbo mounting, intake manifold/plenum ETC.
