And I still want to hear more about the turbo model.. But of course they want to keep it under wraps. Funny though, I checked the prices for the Ecoboost crate motors and the 2.0 goes for 8k and 3.5 for 9k.. Versus the 420bhp 5.0 V8's 7K USD. :odd: The pricing is illogical, personally I'd price the more powerful V8 higher.

No way. Then it looks like Stretch Armstrong's limo.
IMO making it shorter makes it look like a sports coupe rather than a stretched out 2 door sedan that could be 4 door.

The boot hangs over 40% more than the front it looks a bit silly with the door positioned in the middle. Popular 2 door sports car design with the door positioning as this profile usually has the boot overhang near even with the front over hang. (like an Aston Martin Vantage)
Looking at the profile of the loved 1967 GT500, the boot overhang is large, but the difference is that the door/cabin is much further back which creates a different slope on rear window.

Something like this, however both changes obviously sacrifice practicality.

New wheels and color. Couple sources are saying this could potentially be a new Bullet.

That looks like dirty Guard. And if it is, that's one you'll have to keep clean CONSTANTLY.

Then you don't understand how the pricing works, why would you think that the V8 should cost more?

For $8500 you can get a ready to run 520-535 horsepower 351W based 427 small block V8 right from Ford. And that's just getting started....

It better be "Cammer" 427 or I won't be even remotely interested.

Nope.

Shame you limit yourself, you really are missing out. It pretty 🤬 stupid to right off an engine because it has a part in it you don't like.

But you get about 1/2 the mpg.

Its quite possible to coax 18mpg out of it if you keep your foot out of it. I've seen Broncos with more power get over 30.

That said if you are going to go through the hassle for it the absolute last thing on your mind is going to be gas mileage. Go buy some crap box with a 4 banger if you want gas mileage.

Because it has more everything? Power, torque, components..
Development for the mod motors is much cheaper than new tech in the Ecoboost simply because they spent it 20 years ago and already made it back. Ford is not hurting for money.

Development for those engines cost much more than the development of a 5.0 especially one that isn't vastly different from those Ford has had in the past. V8s are easier to build and design especially for a group known for it, while the others obviously take more development have more to them in build and so on. Thus the price is going to be higher also since more cars utilize them and they are newer pieces they will obviously get charged as such.

Also @Slash made a good point too.

Power and torque doesn't justify pricing. If it did then I shouldn't be able to pick of an LS1 or LS2 for almost half the price of even a new ford Modular.

I agree. The mod motors were a huge leap for Ford all those years back; they were abandoning an old and very proven design that ha been in virtually every vehicle Ford put out from the early 60s onward and even older tech. They abandoned it in all aspects for various reasons, and emissions wasn't one of them because Ford had already made them OBDII compliant and sold them well into the 2000's. Ford can get away with cheap V8s for exactly what LMS said and people have come to expect that from Ford. While they have a race going on in the power department with the Mustang, its not a new engine design every years so much as it is updates to the existing engine. The Ecoboosts receive large upgrades and new technology frequently, almost as much as old V8s where almost no two are alike. They need to make this money back and then take a profit. Development is not cheap and the government certainly is not helping make it any cheaper.

Maybe I didn't post it then. I thought I did, because I've seen that before I think.
Hmmm, maybe it's because you like the same facebook pages as me. I got this off of the "American Muscle" Mustang page.

Which is an odd name for a Mustang website tbh.
