Managed a 2;09;213 with DS3, I take it there is no way of checking against other DS3 users ?
You can't sort users by their controller method, but if you scroll through the online rankings and click on a user you can find what controller each used.

My time in the video was set with "Controller (Directional Buttons)" - a DS3 using the D-Pad. You'll find a lot of "Controller (Stick)" for gamers using the DS3 with the R3/L3 mushrooms.

Thanks. That time is way out of my league, the nearest I'll get to being a racing driver is excuses so I'll blame the conditions. I'm only a few miles from Silverstone and although it's sunny the wind has picked up.
That's why you're off the pace then! Head winds!

Thank you. I thought as much but thanks for the confirmation.

is it me or there will be no regional finals in european countries ? so If I managed to be in the top 4 I'll directly go to race camp ?

Not anymore, you now have to find a gigantic 0.001 of a second :D
I've got three tenths for you.

That seems to be the only way to read the regulations at present. I'm seeking a bit of clarification - the idea that the online part closes on June 16th and then nothing happens until the European Race Camp, 3 months later and on a different continent, doesn't sit well.

Just my opinion, but to me it sounds like Nissan (or whoever is in charge of this) has screwed this years competition up royally.

Now I am all nervous, and I am at work nose deep in 6 spreadsheets. I am sure the gold will be attainable for me, then to see how far off the real times I am.

Gold time is easy to achieve to be fair. There's at least 5,000 drivers that have exceeded the gold target. 👍

Got Gold (2:10.9) on my second lap but that car's very tough to drive on a DS3, I can't get enough braking or turning power out of it (took me 3 tries to start my first lap).

The highest DS3 user is '

samurai_405' and he's sat in 23rd with a 2:05.811 (as of this moment).
What sorcery is this?

2:08.1 after a few laps. Have maybe a second of improvement left if I could be bothered to run more laps and learn the track. This car is just no fun to drive whatsoever for me. Will be sitting out the rest of this round most likely.

2:08.8 on my first and only lap.

I feel able to do a mid-high 2:07 but with the car's understeer with the DS3 I will not even bother.

Yeah Gold in most of the GT6 presented challenges is fairly easy. That will be the short term goal. If I cant get there within 30 minutes on the first night, I will be worried. For me it seems like stretch goal would be 2.07ish but that may be a little ambitious. I just started GT6 and in December and got my wheel up and running late Feb, but I know I can compete when I find my groove, as rare as that groove seems to be haha.

Dipped into the 2:07.8s, and I reckon a late 2:06 may be on the cards.

Is there any way to sort by country?

i am freaking excited that we are finally eligible here in egypt...but we only get one spot out of 3 in north africa. and we don't even get to qualify online cause it's all live events. so north africa gets 3 spots this year in the international competition while everyone else gets 6. how is that fair? still....i am certainly aiming for race camp despite of my 1:10 time within a couple of hours. never drove the nismo and never drove big silverstone before.

anyways i'm rambeling. good luck everybody

It's based on where Nissan's biggest sales regions are and amount of GT players in that region mostly unless country laws mess with that (Canada)

Does anyone feel the physics is kinda different? The car rolls a lot more in the corners and dips more under braking. I don't think I've seen this level of body roll since the GT6 GT Academy demo 2 years ago. IIRC the GT-R at Bathurst last year doesn't have this much roll, and I expect the NISMO has stiffer suspension. Probably PD is trialling GT7 physics? Feels much more intuitive to drive 👍

I know but i mean usually in the international or multinational competitions each country/region gets the same number of drivers. how are we supposed to compete with everyone else when their teams have 6 and we only have 3?

Trialling GT7 physics? That could be plausible.

I think PD have set the car up to be a challenge to drive. But I could be wrong. 👍

That's for other things. You're not competing as a team here. You're competing by yourself to accomplish a dream. You just have a lot of people from different places accomplishing that. Only one from each group will make that dream a reality, so nationality is just another form of identification really.

2'08.524 from me. I might be able to improve a bit if I can get all the corners right in the same lap...
On the start, before the lap, I nail Vale and Club and get a perfect exit but when I come back around... Gah!
