That's for other things. You're not competing as a team here. You're competing by yourself to accomplish a dream. You just have a lot of people from different places accomplishing that. Only one from each group will make that dream a reality, so nationality is just another form of identification really.
oh i already know that. i just wanted more spots to increase my chances. there's easily 10 guys over here that scare me.

2:08.600 with a DS3. Still a little time to get if I can make the car stop cconsistently. Much easier said than done though.

Does anyone feel the physics is kinda different? The car rolls a lot more in the corners and dips more under braking. I don't think I've seen this level of body roll since the GT6 GT Academy demo 2 years ago. IIRC the GT-R at Bathurst last year doesn't have this much roll, and I expect the NISMO has stiffer suspension. Probably PD is trialling GT7 physics? Feels much more intuitive to drive 👍
It was different last year. Running the GT-R through Eau Rouge flat out was feasible in the final time trial - couldn't be replicated in the game afterwards.

Well after work tonight I had a couple of goes and managed to get into the 2:05's! A tad rusty as I haven't played in quite awhile and rather tired (2 night's of 6 hours sleep).

Here's the video of the lap (I messed up quite bad at the loop!) but may be of help :)! Guide will come later this week for those that want to improve on round 1! If there's anything specific you want me to focus on do let me know!

This car just isn't working for me. The understeer is both frustrating and hard to get used to. Best I've managed so far is a mid-2:15.

You'd think Nissan would ask for a good tune to promote the GT-R...

Just keep in mind that it's Nissan who will sponsor whoever wins this. Maybe they want the most dynamic driver, the one who can tame even the most horrible handling cars ever.

Thanks for everyone who tuned into my stream. Appreciate it :)

Now this car though... I really hate it. Even with the engine braking technique and handbrake usage I can't tame the understeer. I'm at 2:06.9 right now, ~400th place but I just don't see this as fun. I'd rather wait until round 2. :(

Had a great time watching you Andrew and even learned a bit in the process. 👍

As a test, I wanted to see if I could run a gold lap on my very first attempt.

2:10.798

I screwed up Stowe and the last chicane but I just got it. Time to do a little grinding.

Best lap : 2.11.986 after two or three laps, as I wasn't on 200% login bonus, I will improve my time into a gold time after work tomorrow  good luck to everybody !

Ok, 2:12.3. I'm getting the hang of it, but still don't like it.

This should be a fun event; I'm not having fun at all. : /

Ive just started playing GT in feb this year. i'm around the same lap time as you in my first session I cant believe the top 250 times so far. Watching some of the elite driver videos has given me a few ideas to shave some time off. I'm hoping to break 2:11 in my next session. for a noob gold for all rounds is my goal this year.

Understeer is the least of my worries - ABS0 plus no brake balance adjustment means I have to really feather the brake to not lock up the front wheels.

I got the time down to 2'10.277, and if I were consistent, 2'09s would be possible for me.

Hi all,

First time poster and first time competitor in GTA. Having fun with it so far (best so far is a 2.07.3). Just a couple of questions...
  1. Is there a way to turn the ghost completely off? The full car totally blocks the view and is a total distraction and I find the line on the road quite irritating too.
  2. Is there a way to see how many people have posted times in total (I always like to know what percentage I'm in when I do this type of running).
I look forward to checking in on this forum throughout GTA :)

Edit: I shortchanged myself a bit here! I've actually done a 2.07.1. Need half a second to get into that top 250. My god. Seems impossible...

Well I hit my first day goal of beating 2:11 and set myself at 2:09.415 The engine braking is going to take some getting used to. Are people really using the e-brake a lot? Maybe for that super tight turn onto the first straight? Not something I have tried I guess. My stretch goal of 2:07 something is in reach. Current rank 4059 which I am happy with for now.

Yes, you can, go to controller/wheel settings and assign the button.
