I just dropped .3 to make my time 1:23.6 I think I can hit a 1:22.0 if it comes together. ranked 530
from 830
Yes, keep pushing....
I'm trying to get motivated enough to push past my 23. 259 but round 1 left me kind of exhausted :banghead:. Feel really lazy on this one. Don't have nearly enough time invested in this one as oppose to round 1.

Does any body else remember the round with the silvia on nordschleife when you had to push past other cars? This time trial thing is getting old and boring :grumpy:.

How about some heel and toe action...

damn...at 1:25;1** atm...can't seem to get in the 24's...
The first corner is very important to start a good lap. Also try to watch the fastest drivers replay a few times and watch when he brakes etc. Throttle control is kinda important.

New Time! 1:23.3

I don't think I can get much faster at turn 1. I pretty much extracted all the time possible out of this corner.

FFS... had a couple of goes on this over the week and couldn't make any progress at all. Tried exiting and re-entering, it was no better, and I couldn't even get close to my original 23.1.

Had a quick go this afternoon after the footy and it felt like a completely different car - so much more grip front and rear. Immediately broke in to the 22's and quickly down to a 22.7, with enough time left out there to get down to low 22.

This variable track conditions thing with no way of knowing whether you have optimum or not is a complete joke!

I had a quick go today to make sure my markers and references were right for the guide so used that lap for the guide which is below :)! 1:21.9! Best lap would put me at a .4xx and I've got to say well played to both @IMMORTALPILOT and @RacingLine you really are putting in some stunning laps!

Corner Guides:

Turn 1 (Paddock Hill Bend): 2:25
Turn 2 (Druids): 4:00
Turn 3 (Graham Hill): 6:00
Turn 4 (Surtees): 7:35
Turn 5 (Hawthorn): 9:55
Turn 6 (Westfield): 11:40
Turn 7 (Dingle Dell): 13:00
Turn 8 (Sheene): 13:30

Because varying track conditions is not something you have to deal with in real life racing.....

Yes, but IRL we would have ways of telling when the track conditions are optimal and when they are not, now it seems we randomly get good/bad grip session without any apparent reason what so ever... So IRL stuff never happens without having a reason, now it really seems like game is broken for it gives us differing grip levels without any reason what so ever... So, is there some reasonable explanation for having different grip levels? I've been looking for one, but seems to me like there just isn't one... So yeah, if someone of you knows why is this happening please let me know đź‘Ť Would help a lot :boggled:

Hey CB... I ran 3 sessions after work last week and couldn't break a 24.5. Jumped on yesterday and immediately ran a 23. Maybe you've got the 'high grip' every time you've entered đź‘Ť

Yeah, that's pretty much how it has been for me also, first I'm struggling to make lap around 1.23.0 and then suddenly after reset (not every time) feels like I don't even have to drive that well and still I'm making laps under 1.23 :irked: really frustrating when I don't know when I'm doing something wrong or when (or if) it's just something in the game that prevents me from performing the way I would like...

But yeah, could it be, that the consol just won't load the event perfectly everytime and therefore leaving some of the grip missing??? I mean my PS3 is really old so maybe something in hardware just doesn't quite work right??

Lol, get your 🤬 together PD or I'll be moving to Pcars faster you can say Kaz

Same here... the 1st lap I ran under 24 was a rubbish lap with several fairly major slides. Grip on the exit of Druids was mental - turn in, jam the gears in to 1st, let the back come round, jump on the gas in 2nd gear and hold a lovely slight drift on the exit... if I did that before the car just span round.

I had to re enter into the event 3 times tonight to get the right grip very very annoying! :banghead: If the grip is not right on the first corner (paddock hill) when you brake the car just skids & feels like it's on ice. 🤬:crazy::mad::grumpy:

The most annoying thing for me is not knowing if your are running on the optimal grip... I can be running a session where I find the grip ok, but being disturbed by the idea of that the next one will offer even more (or less).

:grumpy:

Do you know what PP the car is running as stock in time trial mode (no oil change?) and the settings used (grip real etc?)

I would like to try it in single player offline mode and check the differences.

What is your guys' take on this. In round 1, my best lap put me around 4,500th. THat was about 2 days before the end of rankings so I probably finished at 6500-8500.

However, this round, I am ranked 530. That is such a massive drop to the previous round. I really want to win this. I know realistically I probably will not, but Im optimistic. I have to be. What do you guys think? If I do the same thing in the next round and I can an even lower that will be great.

Yes I use a wheel.

Same here. I guess the DS3 guys cant improve enough or the car didnt atracted as many people to go further after the gold...

Have to be in top fifty if not higher all the time.

Yeah, quite odd but today restarting didn't really seem to do nothing at all to the grip, it took me a quite awhile to warm up but after I started to get closer to my last weeks pace restarting the event really didn't seem to do nothing much, all the evening it felt like I wasn't quite that fast before sector 3 but rest of the track it felt like I had quite a good speed and even managed to improve nearly a tenth from last week to 22.188... Really odd for few times last week the grip change felt quite obvious :boggled: rather disturbing...

When I qualified for the UK National Finals back in 2010, I finished 22nd in the UK and just outside top 100 in the World.

A lot depends on how competitive your country is... eg; if you're from Spain you've got a lot of VERY fast competition!

Good luck, but likely you'll need to be top 100 or so in the World to have a chance.
