Sorry I am sure this has been asked before. Is there a quick and easy way to get national ranking instead of global?

Today, I binned, beached or otherwise knocked a cone with the car every other lap. There was a 22.7xx in there somewhere that really should've been a .5 if it wasn't for sudden unexplained wheelspin coming off the final corner. 👎

Just managed a 1:22.707 70th atm. Where did all the top Canadians go? There country needs them to prove we have some fast drivers. Not just quick on a dog sled. :D

From memory I found that the car had more understeer at Spa and was a little less nervous on the limit.
It just felt more like a proper racing car at spa!
Got down to 1'25.567 at Brands - this car is ace with TCS 1 and with a wheel, it just drives like a proper FR sports car should, chuck it in, trail brake to the apex, ease onto the power, gentle drift through and out. So sweet. If you've been frustrated by Round 1, don't let that put you off Round 2, it feels like a totally different videogame!
Round 1 felt like "The Real Driving Simulator" Round 2 feels like Formula D :indiff:

Oddly enough now, I have now set my fastest time with ABS @ 1 and TC @ 0. I really don't think ABS really makes a difference between 1-10. TC however is a different story imo. If you aren't good at managing the throttle, I think a setting of 1 could be beneficial to those people. I've had mine as far up as 3 before it started killing my lap times. Like I said, my current best time was set with it at 0, but I think I could best my time with it at 1. I recently had two strokes so my coordination, reflexes, and general muscle motor skills aren't what they used to be so any extra help I can get as far as throttle modulation goes helps.
Yeah, I think TC at 1 would make a difference with the way this car is now compared to spa. Will have to find out as soon as I get off work tonight lord willing....... another think if remember correctly the turn in under braking wasn't this steep at spa but then again this is brands hatch a totally different combination altogether.

:( Feel gutted you had to go thru these unfortunate events :(...... I say Lord willing you can still take the crown 👍 ;)

I do 0 TCS usually nowadays, and after reading some posts here, I did some testing. 1 was ok, but I gave up at 2. Way too slow with TCS.
I don't know if these aids are individual though. I couldn't drive at all with the steering assist on f ex, wich seemed to be the way to go in some seasonals. Same with SRF. Guess I'm bad at driving a car that doesn't handle the way I predict it to in my head.

im happy, got a 1.27 something and that is much better than round four last year... turning off some aids has certainly helped my GT academy times :)

I'd love to see how you guys do it... the steering inputs and throttle balance must be insane! I've managed 1:24.1 with a DS3 but haven't tried it with my DFGT yet. If I end up in the low 23s I'll be happy indeed.

Is there a way to see your PB sectors from any one session?

Save your replay and you should see something called live timing, next to the green camera.

managed to put in a time of 1:23.001 lol, sad I didn't get in the 22's but still a lot of learning left, eventhough I didn't put in an alien time, for eastern europe I can see the time is pretty ok untill now

Anyone else figure out you have to turn the wheel a ridiculous amount to use all the grip in the front tires? I loaded the data logger to compare my previous best with the world's best. Biggest difference was he was using somewhere between 30 and 40 degrees more steering angle than me.

So I went out and did some laps and improved by .2 immediately. All I did was turn the wheel more...........

Sorry to be that guy complaining, but it's kinda ridiculous that you can turn the wheel about 180 degrees in the fast right handers on the backside of the track and still get grip. I noticed the steering ratio of my wheel is about half as fast as the animated driver's wheel, but this is just silly.

II'm not comfortable going that far, especially in the first sector, but I don't have much choice. As a result, my consistency is all gone.
@redsoxboy80 yeah I noticed that as well just yank on that wheel :P
Put in another stint last last night
Managed 1:22.124 good for 12th in world and 2nd in USA
Great! Now you can take the alien crown. :sly:

Had a quick go tonight, only a 1:22.3xx but I have had a days break and I've finally mastered graham hill bend haha! Was driving me nuts on day 1 so that's solved! 1:21 is the aim for me I think with this, although I like how the faster lap times require very smooth inputs, really do like that style!

Yeah I just called it quits after I learned that. Kinda ruins the whole reason I wanted to give this TT a try. Maybe the next one will be a little better calibrated

Please try to explain how you've managed that, because my consistency in graham hill is zero!! Getting a perfect run through there about 1 in 50 attempts!!!!

I'm either not making the apex, or slowing down too much to make it 👎

The few times I got it right, it required a quick 4-3-2-3 shift and having the rear kick out. Did it five times in two hours yesterday.

wow, i was desperate after half an hour and a 23.7, i know it was just the begining but i can't stop being annoyed in this conditions... so i tried to reload the event to see if i had the "good grip", and i improved after a few laps by 7 tenths in one shot with a crapy lap...
at the same time i understood how to turn the wheel in some corners but still... i felt not especially faster  i become paranoiac...
after 200km overall, i managed to come back under the symbolic second (please calm down ahead :P ), i'm done for tonight.

good job :@:RacingLine impressive lap 👍

1:22.433 completely out of nowhere and it could've been a .2xx had I not flubbed Stirlings. I got better at Graham Hill by avoiding the rumble strips completely exiting Druids. It's a bit like the Loop/Village complex at Silverstone; tighter line through the first part allows for easier positioning for the next corner.

Frustrating. Reminds me of SRF. I don't think I ever go beyond 90* either direction, unless it's an extreme hairpin.
I might have to give it a try when/if I ever log back in.

Yep, that's just what I'm doing. With the same sort of bad consistency too! So many huge first sectors die there :nervous:

Wow, I never realized that TC at 1 would make such an impact on this car's throttle input. You can literally floor the throttle in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear sliding the car (literally like in RIDGE RACER and I mean LITERALLY) with little to no counter steering coming out off druids right after initial turn in under braking. It basically feels like a 4wd!

I wanted to really push this car's limit with the TC on 1 but just don't like the way it drives that way.... and after about a couple of hours switching back and forth between TC 1 and 0 something just clicked and I immediately found my niche with this car.... I got this beast in a choke hold now :D.

I you are frustrated and overwhelmed with this car snap oversteer like I was then if you want put it on TC1 for a time until you develop a flow and gradually understand the car more.

I'll lob it in the guide :)!

Down to 1'25.027 now. Still can't beat that bloody @Famine whose blue tentacle is just tantalisingly out of reach, but now I've watched @Tidgney lap, I'm sure to knock 3 seconds off!

5 seconds Daan! 5! The secrets are there you just have to hunt them like Indiana Jones ;)
