I'm consistently ~.7 up on my time after Mulsanne corner (generally around 57.9 split) and can gain a bit more through Arnage (not sure how much due to lack of split, but I'd say about .150) but just keep stuffing up the last two corners of the Porsche Curves- I either run too deep and get pulled wide by the camber of the road or am too timid and exit the corner too far to the left, ruining my line through the second corner. :irked: Plus on my current lap I ran wide in that same spot, so easily another .4 on top of the gains.

I just can't seem to string it together. :(

EDIT: Have been .5 up on my current after the second Mulsanne Chicane but threw it away braking into Mulsanne. :banghead:

I know something more frustrating...

Stringing a perfect lap together being almost a second up from a 27.6, perfecting almost every corner (for me, anyway) and getting Ford chicanes spot on only to accelerate too early and run wide on the exit red-lapping the time! :banghead:

You guys are going too fast (as usual :D) great job braking to 26's  I was just curious what sort of sectors you have after mulsanne? I was three time at 58.2xx yesterday (and plenty of times uunder 58.5) there and best one of those I didn't mess up until I brake too late for those last two chicanes, lap was definitely below 28's but ended up messing the chicanes so badly I got 28.3xx :D naah, tonight some online fun with friends and tomorrow I'll have a terrible hangover but I think I should get at least below 28's never the less :D
I'll double check later but 57.7xx on one of my fliers with a mediocre Tertre Rouge. If I'm within three tenths of that, I still have a shot of beating my current PB lap considering how iffy I did exiting Porsche curves and the Ford chicanes.
Any tips for consistency through the curves? Lately I seem to keep sliding it way to much. I need less steering I'm guessing?
Getting the initial entry right really helps. I have tried really pushing the car to the inside in 4th and also letting the car coast in with a momentary drop to 3rd. Either way, I wouldn't let the car drift too far out. The first left is done with small steering angle. That way, you'll carry more speed.

The next left, back off the throttle to 80-90% just before turning and hold it there. Then remove even more throttle (down to around 140 mph or so), downshift to 3rd and turn right. Keep manipulating the throttle to keep the car tight on the right for the eventual exit. There, slight decrease of throttle and jab the wheel after the road straightens. Too aggressive, though, and you'll slide the fronts. That will cost you a tenth or so although you won't risk going wide.

Basically, the Curves will have you braking once. From there, your right foot takes over.

Hey guys, I can't beat 3.34-35.
I'm using a Thristmaster t100 which has 240⁰ of rotation, should i buy another wheel or do I simply suck ?

1. Read tips from our GTP aliens
2. Watch and study aliens' replays
2. Practice practice practice

:)

Correct.
Did some fishing, turns out he races with Wolfie.

Beyond all this names in 1 loby (Takeuchi01, Wolf, Yamado, F-massa... wow), the unbelievable fact for me is that was a 2 hours online race with 16 players on the finish line... zero disconnections... whaaaat?! Zero???

Anyway, i tried this... and the only tip usefull was to set both wheel options to 1, less annoyed by earthquakes when I wanted to be more consistent.
Under 3.28 for now, it was my first goal since I never play on this freeway, done quicker than I tought.

congrats for your times guys 👍

Being geographically close with high quality internet infrastructure between the machines will do that. We could run 16 player LANs all day long.

Are you born in 1998? How there even possibly can even be an "old rhythm" :D Naah, insane lap, I'll look your replay tomorrow first thing :bowdown:damn you guys are accurate what the hell 👍 👍 👍

İ faster 2 months ago. Last 2 day i cant do what i want but today i feel better, this is what i want to say with "old rhytm". And yes im born in 1998 :)

Struggled to a 3:31.725, reasonable considering I first played GT6 four weeks ago, but I just can't seem to get any more out of it. How you guys get sub 3:27 I don't know.

A couple of newbie questions:
1. Is the "grip glitch" present in round 4 too?
2. I bought a G27 last week, and it feels pretty grainy. The torque build isn't smooth at all, is that fairly normal? Am I expecting too much of it?!

Slightly OT (OK a lot) but for anyone who has watched the Jay Leno video of the GTR-LM in the News section, I'm trying to identify a couple of cars in the background in his garage, even though I've seen tons of his videos. One is the metallic light blue car behind them and to the right, looks a little like a Matra, definitely French, and the other is a little hot hatch at the back next to what looks like a (new) 500 and two away from an SM. If you catch a glimpse of the back of the car, it looks quite weird. Any ideas?

No idea about the hatch but I believe the little French thing is a Panhard 24.

EDIT: Apparently it's a Ford Festiva Shogun.

Knew the question about the grip glitch would come up. The car shakes so much, I can't really get a feel for the track. Maybe they intentionally stiffened the suspension to hide the problem.

I did notice both clear skies and a version with a few scattered clouds. As a precaution, I always run under clear skies.

Although I don't own a G27, I would not make judgments on any wheel with this specific round.

There is no glitch grip for round 4 I've set personal best laps under Sunday and cloudy days so I would say it has nothing to do with sky and if you think backing out and rejoining gives you more grip lol go for it nothing will change :)

And the g27 fells like **** on this combo so don't think they wheel is trash it's just this combo trust me go driver another car in game and you'll see

I Didn't play yesterday but on Wednesday I spent my session trying to improve certain corners rather than overall lap. This meant today I could manage a 2 second improvement. I'm now up to a 3.29.7. I also made a huge mistake in Ardennes so there's a least a few tenths there and if I'm more aggressive in the final chicanes I think I can get closer to 28's. I really love this combo though it's frustrating but a lot of fun (if that's possible!) the main corner where I lose bucket loads is tetra rouge. Is there a solid brake marker and turn in point or is it more a 'feel' corner for you guys? I'm so hit and miss there.

Managed a 2 hours session this afternoon and I started to get the special feel of this combo. 3:27.855 by now, with a lot of room for improvement. I do hope that the rest of the Spaniards already reached their max performance and don't improve...

So after trying to drop in to the 26s all days now thought il have a rest walk round the shop chill out and come back refreshed.

As im walking round the shops I get half way and what do I see 🤬 traffic cones and I flip I proceed to kick the crap out of one turning the air blue with my language (luck there was no kids) about) and to finish off I picked it up and launched it straight in to a pile of rubbish.

Now it only I could do that to the virtual cones

It's official, I've lost the will to live. My theretical best is 3.26.1. I just can't go a lap without messing up. So I'm sat on a crud 27.9. I give up, the bumps, the cones, the god damn everything can do one. I honestly thought I was patient but this is another level of biscuit taking.

I'm not that patient but I'm persistent to keep trying but i swear this combo is trying to 🤬 me over.
