Briscoe would definitely be in a Chevy of some sort, in a DP more likely.

As for the M6, I find it hard to call it a tank when this use to be around:

And lets not forgot this "Blob" that Turner used to race:

And now looking at the car we have now:

I don't see whats so "Tank" about it, if anything it looks the opposite. Even the Road Car isn't the bathtub it used to be. You just don't seem to like that the sports roadster is being replaced by a Sports Saloon (a very sleek one at that).

Like I said before, the M4 should have been the replacement. Either way the engine annoys me...the only good turbo V8 car is the Bentley and the old Mclaren GT3. The 650S has no guts to it. Thank God Mercedes is keeping the old V8 for the AMG GT GT3, which I hope someone brings to Tudor.

BMW becomes the enemy next year for me. 👎

Is there even a logical reason you would've preferred them to use the M4 or do you just hate the M6 itself overall? If I recall, the M4 doesn't have a V8.

Yes I understand that the M4 is a twin turbo straight 6, and that's still crud compared to the old NA V8 in the Z4 GT3, but I'd accept that more that the M6 which yes I quite despise. As a road car even...it's meh. The M5 is far superior and better all around (yes...the M6 is numbers wise better...but for the same money one could buy a fully loaded F-type or base Aston). As for the racecar side, the M4 should have gotten the place instead. Back not long ago the M3 GT (GT2 and GTE) was a beast and the M4 could have been like a successor to the M3 GT which is why I'd live with the straight 6 turbo.

Since you haven't heard the engine from the GT3 car yet, you just hate the engine purely on the fact that its not the Same M3 sourced NA V8?

If it's anything at all like the road car's V8T...yup. It's most likely going to end up like the 650S Mclaren (silencing could probably be to blame in both cases). Do I want it to suck? No. Maybe it'll be like the Bentley. But judging on how the Bentley and Mclaren GT3's sound like a more aggressive version of the road car I have a feeling it'll end up being as boring as the new Mclaren (which...oddly sounds different than the 12C).

Let's face it, the Z4 GT3, despite being a very sexy racecar, hasn't done a bundle in terms of wins, given how many are out there and the close cooperation between BMW and the customer teams. It also has no road going equivalent - I'm a BMW enthusiast through and through, and even I rarely ever make a connection between a Z4 in the street and the race car. No Z4M coupe in the current gen always made the Z4 an odd choice to me - but with the E92 being phased out, I guess they didn't have too many choices. Apparently it's easy to work around the BoP's with a turbo-charged engine, but in anycase I'm positive that BMW would not have chosen it if the M4 was a realistic choice. This M6 is a successor to the old M6/635CSi, which was the successor to the Batmobiles... there's plenty of history to say the new M6 deserves it's place.

As for the noise, yeah, the Z4 is one of the best sound race cars out there, but even the Turbo'd cars at Spa sounded great...

There's hope. :P

The only turbos at Spa were the Bentley, Mclaren and Nissan. Bentley is like God's plumbing and sounds like a ****ed off animal, the Nissan is just plain good ol' Nissan and I couldn't hear the Mclaren over the sound of the Godly Ferrari's (NA V8), Lambo's/Audi's (NA V10), BMW's (NA V8), Jaguar's (Supercharged...or NA V8) and Aston's (NA V12). I only knew the Mclaren was there because of the unique taillight arrangement. :P

I'm hoping Mazda allows Speedsource to race the car that works, otherwise they are idiots.

In case anyone needs a reminder of what action Road America can provide, how about THIS for a "Throwback Thursday (or #ThrowbackThursday or #tbt)?" It's the finish of the 2012 race from the former American Le Mans Series. And in my view... that Lola/Mazda remains one of the sexiest prototypes this decade:

I remembered seeing this one live on TV. This was wicked. Maybe not the GT2 finish at Sebring in 2007, but this was one of the best finishes I've ever seen.

Good luck to all drivers and teams this weekend at Road America for TUSC.

Yeah I remember that too, this finish and the 2007 Sebring finish (which I'm grateful and thankful to have seen live at the time) are my favorite memories of the ALMS. That and the Penske dominance. Brings back memories... :3

The 2016 GTLM field looks much better with the return of Core and Risi next year.

2-Corvettes
2-Ford GT
2- BMW M6
2- Core 911's
1- Risi 488
and maybe Walker

I'm surprised we don't have an AF Corse team or a couple of them. Those guys seem to be everywhere. At any rate I hope Walker can pull something together because a solid 10 car field of 10 full time TUSCC teams would be epic.

And Aston Martin....PLEASE COME BACK I BEG OF YOU! :( Wait a second...TRG! Buy an Aston GTE!

Risi is fairly well looked after by AF Corsa, hence Giancarlo Fisichella

That's abit lazy. Don't know if that is the final official logo, but all they literally did was replace the Tudor Logo with Weathertech. I could whip up something better then that.

I guess they decided that the current logo works since both Tudor and Weather Tech were red.
