Gt academy prep races

Was able to improve to a 3:26.158, which was good enough for 15th at the time of setting it, And yet I already fell 1 position in under 2 hours...

I don't remember any GT Academy being this intense! Last year, I dropped about 2 places a day. Now I'm dropping 5-8 per day... Ugh, The hours upon hours of failed attempts is starting to get to me...

I think its cause positions dropped from 32 to 20

Having a gaming monitor having the best wheel on the market none of those will make you faster!

I have 47" flat screen and gaming monitor and I also have g27 and t500 and I posted my p2 time on my g27 / big TV

I have a 32" SD box with a DFGT lol

Hey all, just wanted to drop in and wish everyone luck in these closing stages. Just remember, it doesn't matter if you're 1st or 20th on the list. As long as you make it to the finals, that's where it all counts.

I believe I was 38th or so last year, I got the email and nearly dominated nationals, aside from one off in the last race which I laughed about when it happened. Clearly that didn't matter as I was the 2nd pick to go to Silverstone.

Just put your heads down and get yourselves a spot in the finals!!! Keep a positve attitude and push push push!!

GOOD LUCK:cheers:

I wish it was first to 28th like last year. Lol. Would be so much easier.

Hey tguns! Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'm still disappointed with my performance last year (I was way too safe and conservative) and I want to redeem myself with another attempt.

Also, glad to see you're online! I haven't seen you log into PSN in over a month, and you were getting me worried, lol.

Its hard to be positive when you think youre the first one out, and only 1 in 100 laps are faster than your best while approaching the ford chicanes and there's only 24 hours left.

Don't mind me bumping some of you down a spot!!! Finally got some good laps together and ran a few 25.9s. Ruined my first section before Mulsanne by .3 or something that lap of course. I think I'm 9th in the U.S. right now so I'll take it.

Not much time left and wanted to wish you guys all the best on making the top 20! Don't give up on this opportunity. Watch replays of the top guys and do what they are doing. If you get fed up, take a step away from running laps for 10-15 minutes and get back at it. Don't waste time on red laps. Most of all with this combo, be patient! Trying to push too hard with this combo ruins times drastically. Just watch the #1 replay in the world and see how easy it looks. All about finesse and being smooth.

And most importantly don't get excited in the damn ford chicanes about the 2 tenths lead you have on your ghost!

It might mess you up and might not work for everyone. But next time when you are up on your PB, take advantage of the virtual aspect, and go ahead and pause the game and recollect yourself before continuing on the the remainder of the lap.

when does the competition end to get the special car? is it possible to get to the 4th round with a controller?

Today (Monday) is the last day! And yes, it is absolutely possible to get Gold in each round with a controller (You only need Bronze to advance to the next round, though)

Trust me on this: Positive Attidute is VERY important. I'll just give you a personal example...

I played for nearly 4 hours on Saturday. I was getting very frustrated most of that time, and got no improvement at all.

After getting some good sleep and rest, I played again on Sunday. I was calm and relaxed, and got a better lap time within 30 minutes.

EDIT: And another tip, I don't use the ghost. I find that it makes me too nervous when I see myself in front of it. That said, the ghost is good for learning, good for seeing where you're falling behind and trying new lines. But once you've decided on your racing line, you should turn off the ghost for your flying laps.

I just use ghost for split times. Cause im really good at getting 27.5 lol

Just gave this a go just to get gold. Managed 3:36.4 for 1717th. I have feeling not many trying this year, still some time left tho.

Do you turn off split times altogether then, when you turn off ghost?
