So I'm trying to keep everyone in on who's in the top 20 who doesn't count, currently we have
4 in the top 20 so the cut off goes to 24th

I'd also like to mention that the rate of change in the top 20 is slowing.

Yeah that's normal people are hitting there limit pretty soon we'll see a lot of them stop posting times, cause they either hit a wall or stopped lapping or can't improve

I hit my limit 2 days ago at a 3:29.0 then again yesterday at 3:27.7 but I have broken my limit and can achieve a 26 pretty easily, just haven't done it yet... got my 27.47 down to 27.22 in 3 or 4 laps.

The cut off spot is currently 24th with a time of 3:27.562
That's scary.

Edit: 3:27.2 isn't gonna hold.

The current cut off spot I believe is 23rd 3:27.415

Re-edit:

The clock can be so cruel.

My best lap from today: 3:27.223 (3PM)
My 2nd best lap from today: 3:27.248 (9 hours later)
My 3rd best lap from today: 3:27.271 (10 hours later)

Perfect lap with current line: approx 3:26.4

There was an agreement you had to accept that outlined a lot about what will happen and how/etc, but nothing to fill out other than a check box saying you read it (which this is one of the ones you really should read). You might be able to find it online somewhere.

So do you think SSR will be down 2 drivers for the second half of the season? Lol :)

I'm friends with MarkG198211 and I can confirm that he is planning on attending national finals...

Good job to everyone on their improvement this weekend. Yesterday morning 20th was 3:27.476 (me) now it is 3:27.217 and it looks like the entire top 20 gained 2 tenths.

My best lap so far is 3:27.141. I know I can easily get into the 3:26 region, just need to practice and get that perfect lap in.

Also, Yes, I will be going to the finals this year (Assuming I can be in the top 20 by the end of the competition, of course). I also went to the finals last year, so I'm confident I can go back again! (I did not go to Silverstone last year, however. So I'm still eligible for the national finals)

Thanks for the PM, GTP_Importlife!

Can anyone shed some light on the format for U.S National Finals? I'm just curious to know how many days it is, will it be done on GT6, etc.

Thanks for any help!

Whats up John,

The Nationals are going to held at Nashville, TN this year. It will be a 2 day process where we compete on GT6, drive real cars, and do tons of interviews.

You usually fly out on Thursday, and come back on Sunday.

The races will be a 4 car grid lined up based on your qualifying.

So I've reached out to everyone in the top 20 and only have 2 drivers left who have not responed back if they will attend

I will be making a new list today

Do we have to answer by email and phone call?

Good info- thanks!! :gtpflag:

I think you're overthinking this. If they send an email, then email them back unless they ask you to call. If they call, well, you're already on the call. If I recall correctly almost everything was handled via email in 2012. When in doubt ask the organizers.

If you make the cut things will be quiet right up until they contact you, then you have to turn and burn to get things signed/notarized/etc.

Got my time down to 3.32.141 at 296, man setting better times is so friggin awesome. I keep checking the top time just because and I'm thinking the cutoff will be around 3.26.5. Really depends on if people really dig for time this week. Now to watch tidgney's guide haha

3:26.5 ... that's fast. :P

Now at 3:26.478! Ranked 5th at the time of setting it. That might be enough to get into the finals, so I'm pretty happy about that. Still room for improvement, though, since I actually lost 0.2 seconds in the first sector on that lap (compared to my previous best lap, that is).
