We almost made it to October but the first axe has been wielded.

26th September - Andy Hessenthaler (Leyton Orient, sacked) League Two

Orient have a rather eccentric Italian as their chairman and are now looking for their eighth manager in two years.

Might be another one for your list soon @Liquid, its been reported that Derby boss Nigel Pearson has fallen out with owner Mel Morris and that he wont 'continue for much longer', Derby have had a shocking start to the season and find themselves in the relegation zone.

Also another manager now in a tricky spot is Sam Allardyce!

Nigel Pearson is poison. He'll struggle to get another job in management after this.

Getting a few reports on Twitter that Allardyce has been sacked, awaiting confirmation...

The Telegraph are saying that they've a week of articles talking about corruption in English football, so what are the chances 'Arry will face some trouble?

Official, Allardyce leaves England post by 'Mutual Consent', FA released a statement saying what he did was unacceptable, he lasted 67 days with one game and one win, Gareth Southgate to take charge of next four England games.

What a complete shambles this whole thing is!

Pearson is suspended and won't take charge tonight.

He'd find out by someone sending him a copy of the Telegraph in a brown envelope.

AZ Alkmaar will be playing against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europoo League. But without their Iranian forward Alireza Jahanbakhsh because his management doesn't want to risk that he gets banned for playing against an Israeli team or entering Israel.

👍

When his own government, his own country, actually prohibits its citizens from entering a certain country, there's not much he can do but sit it out. Iranian passports have a message on them saying something to the effect of "The holder of this passport is banned from entering occupied Palestine".

Even if you are Iranian yourself, if you go to Iran and they find out that you've been to Israel... you're in for a bad time.

It's absolutely ludicrous, I know, but I suppose that the risk is just too great for one game of football. It'd be interesting if he plays in the return fixture in Alkmaar.

Another reason why Israel have to play in UEFA, on the next street along. None of the kids on their road will play football with them and I dare say Israel isn't too keen on playing them either.

That was the reason why they left back in the 70s, but at the time they played in Oceania with Australia and New Zealand until they where allowed into UEFA in 1991.

I'm guessing they moved because of the distances involved in travelling?

I think they where just waiting for UEFA to accept them and moved there for the time being.

Oceania is the worst confederation for trying to get into the World cup and you have to hope you play a team from Asia or Africa in the playoff to have a chance as South American and European teams tend to wipe you off the planet(Australia was lucky to beat Uruguay in 2005 to qualify but this is not the norm, and we moved to Asia afterwards because this path was soo difficult as you had to win Oceania and hope for the best in a playoff team).

The tumbling begins:

28th September - Warren Feeney (Newport County, sacked) League Two

Sackings: 2

Total: 2

Allardyce will be a hard act to follow - statistically he is in fact the most successful England manager in history with a 100% win rate.

edit: joke fail - that joke doesn't work, since England didn't win that game

I know it didn't really seem like it, but I can assure you that history records that England beat Slovakia 1-0.

Whats the risk if you go with Beckham, going with someone who has no experince what so ever might be the x factor the team needs to do something half decent for once.

I thought they had, but I Googled "England Slovakia 2016" and got a bum steer from Google (it was the Euro 2016 result that was 0-0)...

So Big Sam really is the most successful England manager in history with a 100% win ratio...

Meanwhile, Celtic just scored an impressive goal to regain the lead against Man City... great game so far.

Its come out that QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was caught on film as part of the Telegraph's sting agreeing to fly out to the far east for £55k a pop much like Allardyce was doing.

Barnsley assistant boss Tommy Wright was suspended tonight after he accepted bungs of £5k in £20 notes.

Leeds owner Massimo Cellino was also caught speaking on film about the FA's third-party rules and how to get around them.

Next week or so will be very interesting to say the least!!

You get one free story on the Torygraph, don't you? I used mine to read the Hasselbaink story.

It shows him willing to accept a payment of 55k, payable to him in the Netherlands to avoid higher taxes, in exchange for signing the (fictional) sports company's players.

A classic, footballing bung. Everyone has been playing Ultimate Soccer Manager 98:

Top of League One this time last year, bottom of League One now.

29th September - Tony Mowbray (Coventry City, resigned) League One

Sackings: 2
Resignations: 1

Total: 3

But with these corruption allegations, we could be in for a long ride next month...

Tommy Wright? More like Tommy Wrong.

Edit: The BBC is the only major outlet which isn't carrying the Hasselbaink story. I wonder why...
