Bo
Top 10 is prime punting-off territory, I'll be surprised if he makes it round lap 1.

Forgetting someone? :P
Yeah where are you? We're going to be down Cascades, look out for three deck chairs and a little umbrella with accompanying Wix shirt and AMR or Wix cap.

Anyway... Subaru sounds BRUTAL. Great to see them on top. Power Maxed looked like they brake issues, both cars went off on FP2. Stewart Lines ride height was bad. Smack smack smack under braking. MG got themselves in early bother and plenty more stories... Roll on race day!

Cascades too, trying to pitch up early tomorrow as I don't think it'll stay quiet for long...

Same... 6Am start for me tomorrow. You on side with the TV screen (right side)?

I wonder if Mark Howard will continue his form of spinning in every single race he has started? He is like Aiden Moffat without the occasional speed.

E - "There is debris on the track and Mark Howard in the pits", shocking!

Nice to see Turkington back where he belongs, those Subaru's look a lot nicer when they're winning.

Another Edit: Maybe not so nice, the barbecue tool is still on there.

Those Subarus have fairly come alive since they withdrew from Thruxton. Good to see Turks winning again.

It'll suck for BMR if Warren Scott's fire is a repeat of the same issue.

Fun race though..

.. Collard... D'oh.

If Matt Neal wasn't in a manufacture team he would've been banned a long time ago. About time somebody gave him a hit back. Good job from Josh Cook.

E- OMG Mark Howard is backwards in the tyre wall with parts falling off his car, totally wouldn't expect anything like that to happen with him driving!

"Quite a lot of damage to the front of Matt Neal's car, where the cars in front have reversed into him." Tim Harvey, Yesterday

Within half a lap of the race start we've already seen a Shedden move which means spinning the car ahead out of the way. And, you won't believe this, Mark Howard's Passat is damaged! Shocking!

Edit: Puncture for Shedden on the corner he hit the MG with, I'd love to think the two incidents are related, meanwhile Matt Neal manages to avoid any investigation for jumping the start to win. Great race behind.

Collard did well 25th up to 6th, half a second down on that Greek dude in the Subaru

Observations:

  • Today's crowds were mental. I wouldn't surprised if last year's figure was beaten.
  • The heat was about as intense as I've ever experienced, felt like I was being cooked in the pit lane.
  • Racing was much better than in recent years, even off the back of Thruxton - the support series weren't particularly brilliant but there was some great driving in all three touring car races.
  • Speaking of support races, I felt as though the day went oddly quickly. The timetable seemed a bit strange, especially with there only being two supports between race 2 and 3.
  • Some of the crowd were a bit... rougher than usual.
  • I got cheated out of a decent time on the BMW R/C lap time thing because some little sod put me round on the first lap. :grumpy:
  • The giveaway tat was fantastic.
Overall, not a bad way to spend a Sunday.

Howard I reckon had an engine issue. The car sounded rough all weekend. Excellent weekends racing many thanks to my taxi / lift @paulmac2k9 as well. Currently sorting 3300 photos (not a typo) - a few of them are in this spoiler below so I don't kill your connections loading the page (as much).

PS @Bo avoided you, again

PPS The band on Saturday night in the tent back of the restaurant were brilliant. A lot of drunk dancing by the end and hilarious Martin Depper coming in to find his daughters still in race overalls at 10pm

Any idea If Lloyd is running next year? He's had a few shakey moments but overall he's impressed me. Good attitude, fast and young, I perhaps see him as a possible neal replacement

@Furinkazen Looks like you had a good time 👍 Wish I coulda been there...

I guess it wasn't a terrible weekend afterall... though I'm beginning to thing the #IHGRewardsClub Logo weighs 15kg.

Lloyd has impressed me massively. ToCA would not have granted the TBL to Eurotech had they not been 100% of a driver for the season.

By the way:

That's why I'm wondering. He's having a decent 'tryout' and I just hope there's a possible seat ready for if he carries on the rest of the season like this
You're not going to get anything till the end of the year though this isn't professional racing it's glorified club racing.

In fact come to think of it I think only 3 drivers are contracted for next year? Plato Turks and aron? @Furinkazen ?

Not including owner drivers?

Pretty sure at least 1 of the Halfords cars is tied down in a deal. And if we count drivers who don't own the team but are directly involved then surely Moffat, Morgan, Smith, Tordoff, Jordan are all in.
