2016 Formula 1 Japanese Grand PrixFormula 1

The biggest battles in F1 are rarely for 1st on track. Keeping track of Haas and Perez personally.

When did the Mercs actually directly race each other last? Was it Austria?

True but I'm not sure the last time we had a "championship battle" that was so rarely actually fought for directly on track. There is no excitement in it for me if it's not happening on track.

Three wide behind Hamilton.

Not scary. Nope. Not scary at all.

Now Hammy cutting through the field on hard tires.

Might not win the race, but he's making it entertaining.

They really need to make it so you cant drive over the pit lane exit.
If ham was a little later on exit that could have been a nasty crash.

But it wasnt. These guys are world class drivers, after all.

What happened last year at this track?
Someone died.
How many people died in other F1 races.

World class doesn't mean anything when you pull out right behind someone moving slower when you are doing 300km/h as these "world class drivers" are still human with human reflexes.

You cant exceed track limits, the pit lane exit should not be classed as apart of the track limits

2014 was Bianchi's accident. Just saying and that had nothing to do with pit exit.

Death happens regardless. World Class, no Class, absolute Class. Its kind of irrelevant.

Yes Racing is dangerous
But having cars doing 300km/h down the straight and going into the pit exit lane and having a car that has just exit pit lane and is doing 150km/h or so is asking for trouble.

The only time I see a rule being put in place is after a crash, never before.

Well there are certainly a lot of passes but most of them are appearing very easy.

Likely comes due to the compromises in pit strategy demanded by the hard tire.

Still, hush. Don't ruin our fantasy!

:D

It was in response to "World Class Drivers" nascar said.
Still. Bianchi's crash had nothing to do with the issue of pit exit. And I don't see FIA or really anyone saying "you can't use that area right in front of a lane on the grid for anything but exiting the pits."
