2016 Formula 1 Japanese Grand PrixFormula 1

I didn't see it nor am I interested in these "press conferences", but I agree, it's cool Hamilton did this... It's one of the reasons I like this guy, yeah he's rich - he looks good and probably has a cute girl friend, all super negative things seemingly, but I like it, he has sort of a I'm the champion and I do what I want attitude and I don't see anything wrong with that.
And these press conferences are horrible, who's even watching those? I always turn
the TV off when that stuff gets aired.

Also, someone said he probably underestimated Rosberg, I agree with that. I underestimated Rosberg, too and he still yet has to prove he really got what it needs to be a champion - however he basically got it in the bag now? Unlikely Hamilton can win all remaining GPs. Imo.

PS: I missed last race, due to something called sleep, I hope that doesn't happen again, I can imagine this being a great race, too...

ROS 1:30.647
HAM 1:30.660
RAI 1:30.949
VET 1:31.028
VES 1:31.178
RIC 1:31.240
PER 1:31.961
GRO 1:31.961
HUL 1:32.142
GUT 1:32.547

That's like really close?

But yeah, I hope I don't sleep in again! :P

Why is everything a "gate" now? It makes any incident sound incredibly stupid, in my opinion.

Anyway, I'm glad to see both Haas cars in the top ten, hopefully we see a double points finish for them here.

"Gate" is stupid.

Being on your phone at an improper time is rude. Simple as that. Might as well not show up in the first place if you think your time is better spent on your phone. It's called an obligation. Don't like it? Don't get paid millions then. Go stare at your phone instead.

I can't believe how much this has been blown out of proportion by the media. Before I thought it was just regular Hamilton media drivel, but the guy used Snapchat in a press conference and we are calling it Snapgate?

Fact that this is the most interesting thing to happen in a press conference in years, perhaps since Webber's glass abuse in Malaysia a few years back (pretty sure it wasn't called Glassgate either) goes to show how boring and pointless they are in their current state.

This is actually hilarious. How is F1 supposed to appeal to any new viewers if it doesn't embrace the social media revolution, and shuns it instead. That's an argument for another day, when I'm not laughing this hard.

Its not on here until 6am tomorrow, so make sure you don't spoil it for me.
When I know I'm not gonna watch a race live I just ignore the board until I finish the race in my own time, then go back and read comments as they happened.

While a certain part of viewerbase will use this to express their anti Hamilton feelings the main underlying issue here isnt Hamilton at all but the media. There is a reason there were no questions at a press conference that involved lineup that is 66.6% not Hamilton. Immediately after the snapgate controversy the main sentiment was that yea, Hamilton was disrespectful but these pressers suck and media cant come up with an interesting answer. Its not Lewis that they're trying to boycott, it's us. To show us that without them things will be somehow worse.

Weather at the track as of about half an hour ago.

I thought it was three, like Vettel's. Both got new gearboxes. And Jenson Button starts from the back because he got an entirely new engine block/unit/MGU-Whatever. He was starting 17th so best to do it now than later when he might have qualified higher. More for reliability than lifting performance.

Vettel's penalty was for the Malaysia crash.

I guess Sky are short on content these days, how many more times can they play this Hill and Newey interview?
