Meaning? (I can't watch the Motogp races so I don't know what you mean.)

I missed it but it most likely means that he kissed the tarmac yet again. And it probably was his own fault.

Trust Pedrosa to find form against Rossi :indiff:. Still, could have been worse if MM knew how to ride within himself.

Not that happy with Perdosa's last move. Looked to me like quite a "get off line or I take us both out" move to me and that against someone who's fighting for the championship.

A crucial four points lost there for Valentino. Right when it happened I thought 'That wasn't very nice, Daniel'.

But Rossi might have done the same if the roles were reversed, remember that Pedrosa was on home soil. He had nothing to lose.
MotoGP isn't like F1 where the leaders get treated like china dolls, I think Pedrosa had every right to fight tooth and nail. It did look like he forced Rossi to go on the turf but I don't blame him.

Even Rossi came up and congratulated him both on track and in parc ferme.

It's actually refreshing to see the fighting spirit come to life in Pedrosa again. It's not often he chooses to bring it out. Usually he recedes the place and settles to finish behind, much like Biaggi in his latter years.

A crucial four points lost, but I still hope Rossi prevails and takes home crown #10. It would be so sweet.
Last chance this year maybe?

Next year will prove to be even tougher.

Marc? Oh my..

Considering Pedrosa's history with people fighting for the championship that was nothing (Portugal 06).
I'm happy Pedrosa is back up there with the big guns, Moto gp needs 2 Repsol Hondas and more importantly Lorenzo is closer to Rossi so more chance of it going down to Valencia. :)

Update on Aegerter's condition and what happend for the people that missed the Moto2 race:
MotoGP.com
The original race was red flagged after Xavier Simeon (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) and Dominique Aegerter (Technomag Racing Interwetten) crashed at turn 15 on the opening lap. Simeon was able to take his place back on the grid for the restart while Aegerter was taken to hospital for further checks after being declared unfit at the Medical Centre. It was later revealed he had transversal process fractures in 4 vertebrae, broken bones in his right wrist and hand, fractured ribs and a lung contusion but his general condition was described as positive.

Hopefully Domi will make a speedy recovery.

Here's the whole article, but it's actually more a race report than a full news on Aegerter.

Update on Aegerter's condition
Thanks for posting that, I never like seeing a riding being injured during a race weekend. Sounds like he'll be out for the season.

Bastiannini did a similar move to Binder in Moto3 - sending the latter over the bars and ending his podium shot 4 corners from the end.

As for Kent, he must have been thinking about dinner or something, going around the last bend!

German commentators had the theory that he was looking to the right (which you can actually see in the onboard replay) to see if anyone is behind him to attack him on the straight. If he would kept his focus on the corner he surely wouldn't had crashed.

In my opinion Kent had a risk free opportunity, having seen Bastiannini crash he knew he wouldn't lose points so it was the right thing to do to try and get the extra 4 points. He could have settled but went for it and it didn't pay off, a bit like the England Rugby team. :(

And we all know how that will end ;).

Very poor craft from Kent, any points would have been better than none.

I'm not arguing that, but 55 points with 4 races left is more comfortable than 55 with 5 races left. I definitely would have settled for 3rd but I'm not a professional racer. In fact there's a very famous Senna quote that could be applied to that situation and any time I can use it to describe a young British person is good enough for me. :)

Red Bull KTM have announced their lineup for 2016 - Oliveria out (Leopard Moto2) and Hanika out, Binder stays and some Red Bull rookie cup winner, 16yr old Bo Bendsneyder joins.

Watching FP4, Alex de Angelis made a nasty crash. They didn't show the crash, they did show the crashed bike and you could see him laying next to it and he wasn't moving, but now reported conscious and breathing..

Hope he is alright 👍

Close quali but importantly, Rossi has found 8/10th overnight - should be a good race!

Close qualifying today. I hope Rossi will be able to keep those Ducatis
behind him at the start and put the pressure on Jorge.

Apparently 50% of Lorenzo's 39-or-so-wins have come from the pole
(according to the commentators) so Rossi can't let him get away.

I watched the incident in FP4, didn't look nice for Alex. Reminiscent of Katoh
at Suzuka.

There were a lot of questionmarks ahead of the weekend.
Rossi with his painful arm from his test crash, Marquez with his newly broken finger
and Lorenzo with his dislocated shoulder.

Bradley Smith crashed three (3) times today. :ouch:

How about Maria Herrera last race at Aragon?
From 30th to 13th and a points scoring finish. 👍

Here's the result of Rossi's testing crash from the Monday immediately
after Aragon;

A fun exchange with Pedrosa and a reporter during the post-race press conference in Aragon;

Question
Dani, you have the best pit board messages ever. Can you please explain what they all mean?

Pedrosa
You think that I can read all these letters when I go through the straight?
Impossible. I just see things but I don't understand a thing...

Rossi
But it's fun. Every lap I check his board, I was curious to see what
happened. It's good.

Pedrosa is the new Marquez!
Brilliant riding from Dani. :)

The shark (Lorenzo) has lost it's fins.
Rossi for #10.

Scary crash for Espargaro. Looked like he hit his head on the guardrail.

I missed the race, but interesting result - looks like Dani (and MM once he heals) could really mess up the title run in for someone.

It was a pretty interesting end of the race too. A few laps before the end Lorenzo was still first and Rossi second. Absolutely great drive from Dani!

I just read that Alex de Angelis is in a critical condition, I knew he was injured but I'm shocked how serious those injuries are considering the accident happened on the exit of a fairly slow corner. Hopefully he can make a full recovery.

The problem was where he crashed has no safety features because it was an unlikely place to go down. It was the same with Joan Lascorz in Imola 2013 and he's now in a wheelchair.

I wish MotoGP was bigger here on GTP. It's my favorite sport and I
notice there's not a whole lot of traffic in this thread.
I do realise this is mainly a car forum though.
Luckily I am also part of a motorcycle forum with more frequent discussions
than here, so I do get to talk MGP someplace at least. :)

Anyway, I have a VideoPass on motogpdotcom and they introduced
a new feature about four months ago called 'Crash Analysis'.

I find the stats they provide interesting so I decided to share them here;

He doesn't get a mention much, but props to Zarco for cleaning out the Moto2 roster. After his loss of the Moto3 to Terol a few years back, one had to wonder if that was his moment in the sun lost. But he who laughs last I guess - Terol couldnt cut it in the higher formulae as is now another name in SS or WSBK and now Zarco is making a name for himself.

I thought that year would have a negative mental effect on him as well but he has been unstoppable this year. I think he is the first red bull rookies champion to win a full championship now.
Where, exactly, did de Angelis crash?
The exit of the tight left hander, turn 9 I think, and he hit the wall it seems. I haven't seen the crash but I saw the clear up after.

He's just done it again - he was trying to go around the outside of Antonelli at the Southern Loop, but closed the door before he'd completed the pass and wound up clipping Antonelli and launching into a high-side. Since they were racing in a pack of six, there was nothing Antonelli could do. It was a bone-headed move by Kent.
