Well since Red Bull are in 1 2 and 3 time to expect a pretty boring race at the front. The gap they've already made is ridiculous

Oh well, Pye loses out again.

Dagnabbit. Bring him back in now so he doesn't lose out too much.

So why do the commentaors keep saying that Baird and Russell are teammates? They aren't, Russell drives for LDM now, Baird drives for Erebus.

No wonder Erebus ditched Russell, what a moron. Team tells him to pit and he ignores them, gets a puncture, and causes more damage.

I understand the #96 needing to adhere to the blue flags being multiple laps down, but I think the #7 should have been fine given his speed and only being a single lap down. Especially this early in the race.

Because the #3 LDM looks pretty similar to the #4 Erebus that Russell was driving. It's an easy enough mistake to make.

I wish Noonan would commentate. He makes every lap as if it's the last lap. We get the race call, oddball info, trivia, comedy, car stuff.

That and watching co-drivers dominate the runnings

Should be minimum and maximum laps like maybe 5-10 after minimum.

Whyyyyyyyyy didn't they just put Pye in the car??????????

Edit:

This kerb BS makes this round harder than it has to be.
They should just do away with the sensors & place a tyre bundle wrapped in a rubber belt where they deem to be the limit. This way if a driver gets hungry, he'll damage his car. Black & white. No ifs and/or buts. Simple.

Yeah, this kerb stuff is dumb.

Whoa, Scott.

Guess Giz is throwing a tantrum by backing off to walking pace.

I wouldn't say Giz is throwing a tantrum. I'd say that's brains. He doesn't have to beat JW.

Anyone got a tissue for Tim Edwards? If Scotty wants to lock em all up to get a pass done, it's on him to roll the dice on his tyres. Nothing illegal about that. Play on.

I'm all for the winner wasting the rear tyres in celebration on the slow down lap but, I fear the day it ends in contact with another car.
That'll be the end of it.

This is going to sound mean but your reactions kinda make me want T8 to continuously won  :sly:

Outside of that great driving, T8 were quick and honestly if it wasn't for the stupid kerb system, we could've had a battle for 1st. Still both drivers were quick, I would say impressive but it's really just expected at this point. Scott, Craig and Mark were really impressive though, their battles for 3rd were entertaining.

DJRTP... Man, get it together.

Auckland is always an amazing place for these cars. More excitement in 5 days.

Winning most of the races lately, team championship already won, all three cars at the top of the heap for the drivers championship. It's getting really old.

Good thing Mclaughlin is within striking distance of Lowndes for P3.

They tried that a few years ago, remember? There was constant interruptions from safety cars as the tyre bundles are ripped free of their mountings and dragged onto the racing line and need to be reset, and bits of bodywork that are torn from the cars litter the circuit and need to be cleared away.

I do see that, but it hasn't been a total wash and it isn't like T8 have been winning so flawlessly. Sure they win a lot but the elements of different strategy, styles and battles have made it not that boring (at least for me, as I know this is extremely subjective).

Depends which of the three 888 cars you want to do the winning.

The tyre bundles were dragged into the racing line because, IMO, they weren't secured properly. The organisers at Clipsal manage to do it properly for Turn 1 so it can't be that hard.
As for the bits of bodywork, if the officials aren't going to send the SC out for all the mirrors that end up on the track, they can use their discretion and use a local yellow where possible.
