Couldn't tell if this was a rally stage, or the down lap of an F1 race with all those fans.

Seb doesn't seem very happy.

I love watching Max Verstappen go balls out at the end of a race haha. Alonso got eaten alive by both Ocon and Hulkenberg at the end there.

It's nice to see Vettel winning for once

Wow, no penalties. The race took care of itself.

I like it. People fighting and staying in control... most of the time... it might be that they'll know how much risk they can take in the next race.

Odd how long it's been since we've heard that anthem on the podium.

I imagine there are some tears (of joy) down in that pit lane.

Let's be honest though, the only reason that race was exciting at all was the fact that Mercedes lost. Other than that and the late 3-wide moment for 10th place won by Ocon, it was a procession.

Looks like the fans going on track then was planned. No idea how they managed to tell everyone to be sensible, and they were

There were a few, can't say there were "no overtakes"

Hyperbole-ish but to be honest aside from the first lap I really can't think of an overtake happening aside from Ocon on a broken down Mclaren.

It's amazing how a wrong TV setting can make Ferrari's red look hot pink.

Mark still not giving a damn about Seb I get the impression!

The Finns sure know how to express pure happyness :sly:

Let's see if Ferrari will keep improving the car this year. If I remember correctly they always had strong season openers and than just stopped working on the car or developed into the wrong direction for the rest of the season.

Well damn, Alonso didn't finish but it wasn't because of something engine related. Lasted a lot longer then pretty much many people's predictions after Barcelona.

Pretty good race I gotta say, I think we're in for an actual fight for a championship 👍

I think there were 3 others. By Stroll. One on Vandoorne and a struggling Sauber.

Let's be honest, if Lewis came out ahead of Vettel...he wouldn't have been able to maintain the lead

Hardly edge of the seat stuff.

Edit: Why did Lewis get boos? we're still doing that?

Let me be clear with those who I suppose hadn't watched F1 for the past couple decades. This isn't new, I could name other races like this, ten even twelve years ago

I didn't hear boos, I heard tons of cheers especially when he acknowledged the fans.

Anyone else remembering the Schumacher/Ferrari era? Very similar race style to the 2000s, similar looking cars to the 2000s, a Ferrari victory, and the same anthems.

I rest my case :p

Didn't hear them myself but seen people on Twitter and GAF mention it. Interesting to think if Lewis would've won then, Ferrari is the fastest car today but I don't think Vettel would have gotten past.

Not a bad race. Ferrari has the pace to compete again, Merc may not be ace at everything, Bottas should be a good replacement for Rosberg, McLaren had some life, and the engine didn't kill it, Red Bull have some issues, hopefully they're one-off issues, Ocon can drive decently well, also didn't realize Massa had been lured back.

Decent start, now lets see if it can be maintained.

To bee honest, it did seem a bit boo-ey.

Also, Perez reeled off a few overtakes. Ricciardo did a few, also, but being two laps down and then out, they didn't mean much.

That FI is a good car, it seems, just a few bugs to work out.

I think Lewis, once he started on about degradation, was always going to be in trouble.

Seb just had more pace in reserve over long stints, even if Lewis was faster at the start of each stint.

Great win for Ferrari! Too bad so many cars didn't finish, but enjoyable race.
