Toto: "Did we say we welcome competition? There was a silent no in front of the competition part."

Kravitz commenting on Hamilton following Max and losing his tyres' grip quicker than normal, "looks like he's "lost the good juice", as the brothers call it."

Goodbye Honey Badger. :(

Vettel's set-up seems better for the slower corners. Seems he's gentler on the tires than Lewis there. But Bottas is ace at preserving tires... he's now catching up Lewis and going faster than Vettel. Mercedes might have to allow Bottas through if they want to keep Seb from winning the race.

Lewis had to burn his though trying to pass a Red Bull

True, but Bottas went longer on the first stint, as well.

Here's where Bottas' words before the season are going to come back to haunt Lewis: "Tire preservation will still be important."

Which makes it weird Raikkonen isn't picking up yet. Kimi is also good at going long stints on old tires.

Bottas' deficit to Lewis in qualifying is similar to Nico's deficit to Lewis here last year.

But if Bottas can find that extra pace (new car and all) and still maintain his better overall race pace... maybe we'll have a first-time World Champion this year? :D

MB didnt have to pit the #44 so early.

Edit: It was Hamilton's fault for wanting to switch tyres. Anyway, the Ferrari looks good.

Hamilton demanded it.

He was just so uncomfortable with the tires.

They should have told him to back off and preserve them... but oh well...

He couldn't Vettel was there, the only place to preserve them was when following Max

It has gotten way worse this year, we are approaching ABC levels of ads

Do you have Uni Mas? I can't understand the commentary but haven't seen a single commercial since I switched at lap 37.

Sorry for the double post, but going back on my statement on the racing, the fact that we genuinely don't know what the podium will look like is appealing to me. The result is just as important as the journey to it. Seeing teams competitive in varying places all over the grid is healthy. Seeing cars able to reel each other in is healthy, even if passing at a street circuit isn't the best. Melbourne has never produced the most exciting racing on the same argument, which leads me to this statement: Which race would bring the most overtakes potentially for those that clamor for it?

Nope, Charter doesn't offer it in my area unless you buy the Spanish package. I would flip to it in a heartbeat if I had it as I can understand some Spanish.
