Could be worse I suppose.
That definitely sounds turbo
A lot lower revving and really muffled sounding. Nothing like the N/A RSR in my opinion.
Of course, like everything in the rulebook, that can be waived. They do, up to 4.0L displacement is legal.

Shocking. Well maybe they'll think long term at some point at least.Ford programme now extended from 2 to 4 years till 2019.
Sponsorship by home base for the sandbags came through then I guess.PR speak http://performance.ford.com/series/...ace-program-extended-through-2019-season.html
They should be able to get those production cars built now.
How do we know that the turbo charged car wasn't a testbed for the P1 car? I mean people should really think about this when a manufacture runs factory efforts in both premier classes.
Please God let it be N/A...PLEASE!We need to see more testing videos I guess.
***Sportscar365 has learned that Porsche’s new 2017-spec 911 GTE car has been testing with a normally aspirated engine, despite video evidence indicating a possible turbocharged powerplant. It’s understood a decision for the N/A engine came prior to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Turbos are the way to go.Please God let it be N/A...PLEASE!
If the guys in Stuttgart want to use an N/A flat 6, let them use it. A ray of hope in dark times it is.Turbos are the way to go.

A hybrid and some sandbagging disguised-GT1 cars. What engine config won Le Mans in LMP1 and GTE this year...?
IMSA BoP proves otherwise.N/A is dead in current rules I'm afraid. There's too many ways it can get more power from smaller cc and use less fuel.

What won the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring? Oh that's right a N/A 5.5L V8.A turbocharged V4 and a turbo Ferrari or Ford. And Porsche going with a P1 turbo gives them a perfect platform to work a GTE engine.
Michael shank says hi btwOk smarty - there are no turbo cars eligible for those categories

You must've been watching a different Sebring and Daytona as it was a turbo V6 LMP2.
