Man, it looks like this new 10hr of Suzuka event will feature a spec tire! Good luck attracting JAF GT300 cars to that. I think you might get a Prius and/or a MC GT86 but not much else.

Live and in the carbon, the #37 Red Bull KeePer TOM's LC500.

Testing report from Day 1 at Okayama. Lexus led both GT500 sessions and locked out the top six in the AM session. Nissan was fastest of all in GT300.

Day 2 report: Lots of red flags, but even more Lexus dominance, leading both sessions and sweeping the afternoon session for the second time this weekend. VivaC 86 was fastest in GT300.

You should totally be an official reporter for them, just saying :D We can go global that way!!!

well they did try it out in last year Sepang 12hrs. 2 cars in fact from the Super GT series. One was the JLOC Lamborghini Huracan GT3 (which I think its the first time they appeared Outside of the Super GT series since the end of the GT1 cars at lemans in 2010), which was quickest in the first part of Qualifying and also was able to run decent all race. As for the other car. it was a JAF reg car infact and it was the APR Toyota Prius which took part. (since all were on Yokohama tyres, so I'm guessing that the 10hrs event will all be Yokohama tyres for the event next year).

at the moment there is no decision for the 10hrs of Suzuka to be part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge to replace the Struggling Sepang 12hrs event. which had either a very small or no crowd watching the event at all. http://sportscar365.com/other-series/super-gt/ratel-no-decision-on-igtc-status-for-suzuka-10h/

Bringing the news back to Super GT.......I actually have tickets and a paddock pass to go and watch the Fuji 500K event in early may. (which ill remind is on a Wednesday this year). If I'm get time, I will ask afew GT300 team drivers about this new endurance event next year aswell as a few fans aswell. and report back when I'm back from the event.

Some of the notable absences from this weekend's test at Fuji coming up:

Kazuki Nakajima and Yuji Kunimoto, due to expected commitments with Toyota LMP1. We know Nakajima is committed to the LMP1 team as his #1 priority, and Kunimoto is expected to get a seat with Toyota for Spa & Le Mans.

Takamitsu Matsui and Naoya Gamou, due to racing commitments with TGR in this weekend's opening VLN round in Germany. It's Toyota's one tune-up race before the 24h.

Jörg Müller, due to racing commitments with BMW and Schubert Motorsport in that same VLN event.
