Honda also does MotoGP and WTCC. They do quite well in both. The part of the Super GT cars that failed was done by Mugen. They haven't had issues with it until now. So it's weird that they are having issues.
Does the Honda MotoGP program come out of the same offices/assembly lines as their car programs though? They're both Hondas, but only by name. I don't think there is any sharing of resources between the programs (like Yamaha motorcycle and keyboards).

And with the Honda WTCC program, again, isn't most of that run out of Italy?

Daisuke Ito back in the au car for Fuji, due to Nakajima having commitments with Toyota at Spa. Oddly enough Rossiter is going to attempt both... maybe he already knows the fate of the ByKolles

I really shouldn't stay up and watch this. Any idea how long it will take time wise? If I can get to bed by midnight (2 hours) it might be OK. :P

Just got in to the race, was busy watching trailer reaction videos. Nice to hear Rob Barff as a commentator. Cool guy. He was one of the mentors when I was in the GT Academy USA finals in 2011.

Provisional 2018 Super GT calendar. Same same, but different.

https://supergtworld.wordpress.com/2017/07/27/super-gt-announces-2018-schedule/

Biggest highlights: Return of the Suzuka 300km after the SRO nabbed the 10 hour, and everything from Round 3 to Round 7 getting major date changes compared to this year. Thailand is still on the calendar.
So the things Sam Collins mentioned in the commentary at Sugo about potential dates added haven't happen. (I forget if he said those were being looked into for schedules beyond 2018, though...)
