Nope, Morocco were out first after losing to Portugal.

While it is still possible to qualify after losing your first two games, it isn't possible if the other game in the first fixture was a draw... which it was.

I enjoyed hearing Fernando Santos' declarations right after the match. At least he didn't adopt the "we won, that's all that matters" posture and was pretty vocal about how disappointed he was at the players for gradually losing total control of the match.

All those missed passes and lack of confidence were, indeed, unacceptable.

Morocco deserved the win, for what they did. Unfortunately they suck when it's time to score. Patricio did a couple of very important saves and Ronaldo saved the day.

Morocco had the best defense in the qualifying phase (zero goals conceded) and only need to improve their accuracy.

Portugal had 71% pass accuracy which was lower than Morocco's and way lower than usual.

And the Saudis have the unenviable status of first team officially eliminated.

Morocco was first. They could even win 10-0 against Spain. Since Iran won against them and Portugal has 4 points, they're out.

Today's games were pretty bad for the top teams (Portugal, Uruguay and Spain).

I think if Portugal and Spain had played the first game as they played today it would have been a pretty boring game.

Morocco and Iran are really good, comparing with Egypt and Saudi.
