So, Russia enters the playoff in the World Cup for the first time in 32 years.

I wonder how long will they last there... we shouldn’t stop swearing at them.

I suppose the Egyptian team was demoralized after Fathe’s autogoal so they missed two more goals from Cheryshev and Dzyuba shortly after that.

Normally that would be when they encounter any decent competition, but seeing how pretty much everyone sucks at this tournament, I say that with a bit of fighting spirit, not the alcohol type spirit, and a stadium filled with vodka filled Russians as the 12th man, Russia should have a decent shot at at least another 2 rounds.

Morocco are out.

Shame for them as they played well, but not well enough. Ronaldo gets the glory once again, but worryingly poor from Portugal - they surely cannot expect to win the tournament on Ronaldo's skill alone - and but for some heroics from Rui Patrício, they'd be struggling to qualify themselves right now.

Also, it must be said - Ronaldo is such a great talent that it makes his diving and attempts to cheat all the more sad to see - for goodness sake start punishing this behaviour and stamp it out.

Worse game from Portugal I've seen lately. Tons of mistakes. Morocco played very well and is out because they didn't win against Iran. Great team.

Worse game from Portugal I've seen lately. Tons of mistakes.

I enjoyed hearing Fernando Santos' declarations right after the match. At least he didn't adopt the "we won, that's all that matters" posture and was pretty vocal about how disappointed he was at the players for gradually losing total control of the match.

All those missed passes and lack of confidence were, indeed, unacceptable.
