Hey there’s a lot more Cavaliers and Sunfires on the roads still than Celicas. The Goody’s Dash series cars were also 4 cylinder, so it made a bit more sense. When the series started compact cars were still RWD so they could still use the stock bodies like Pintos and Monzas. the last two are the Sunfire and Celica from near the end of the series.

Remember the Xfinity series was 6 cylinder powered until the late 80’s/early 90’s, in that case the Supra would be more appropriate.
All of the above cars had better proportions than whatever happened to the Supra

Slightly off topic- It seems odd as hell to me to hear Mike Tirico's voice at a NASCAR race. I've just gotten too used to him calling the NFL games for years.

Moves support from Byron to Bowman.

Edit: Truex is charging hard to catch back up to the field.

17 goes around and the crowd goes nuts.

On one hand, the 17 has been running really good. On the other, he pretty much caused the two biggest wrecks of the night. So, mixed feelings.

In other news, Kasey Khane is currently running in 3rd, will be 2nd once Jimmie serves his penalty.

Tonight basically proves that much like in Pro Wrestling, if a driver is a big enough draw for the fans and/or is getting a big marketing push from NASCAR, they can get away with anything.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. needs to be suspended for his actions on-track tonight.

In all fairness, that first crash only happened because of how big of a push he gave to Keselowski. And the second one happened cause he got tight in the middle of the corner. It even showed him putting more wheel in it in order to not hit Kyle. The only questionable thing he did was come down and bang doors with Almirola, which eventually led to Ricky's tire exploding.

"They're coming up to speed together"

Yes, that's usually what happens when they come to a green flag. Thanks for the insight NBC.

This is gonna be crash madness. Not a knock on NASCAR or plate racing, but with this many good drivers so close together, stuff is gonna go down

Red Flag. Will the race be called?

Edit: It just dawned on me that we're in a red flag with 3 to go during a 2nd overtime finish. This is actually kinda silly now.

There isn't a single member of the new NBC commentary team that doesn't make me want to jab a knife into my ears (I didn't watch last week so this is my first time hearing them). :yuck:

Jeff Burton has an annoying voice, Dale has issues not messing up and Rick just sucks.
