Sheffield United 3-3 Man United....well let me tell you a story!

We were absolute dog**** in the first half, goals from Fleck and Mousset but the first one was a gift from Phil ****ing Jones who just tumbled over in an attempt to win the ball, Sheffield United were magnificent and were all over us as we struggled to get a grip on the game, into the second half and OGS subbed Lingard on for Jones at half time and the Lingard started running the show, three goals in seven second half minutes, Brandon Williams with his first league goal, Greenwood with his first league goal to equalise and the Rashford to put us ahead following some lovely build up play from Martial and James, and then Oli McBurnie to make it 3-3 in injury time after a VAR check.

I honestly don't know if I should be feeling relived that we got a point or pissed off that we threw it away!

A catch-up:

10th October - Jose Gomes (Reading, sacked) Championship
20th October - Wally Downes (Wimbledon, sacked) League One
28th October - Jim Bentley (Morcambe, resigned) League Two

1st November - Nathan Jones (Stoke City, sacked) Championship
2nd November - Paul Tisdale (Milton Keynes Dons, sacked) League One
11th November - Neil Warnock (Cardiff City, sacked) Championship
13th November - Steven Pressley (Carlisle United, sacked) League Two
14th November - Carl Fletcher (Leyton Orient, sacked) League Two
15th November - Michael Jolley (Grimsby Town, resigned) League Two
19th November - Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur, sacked) Premier League

Resigned - 6
Sacked - 15
Approaches - 1

Total: 21

Some of the departures are particularly interesting:

Walley Downes was sacked for breaching betting rules; he bet on games in 2013, 2014 and 2019. His suspension precluded him from being employed by a professional football club.

Jim Bentley was previously the longest-serving manager in the top 92, having taken over at Morcambe in May 2011, lasting a frankly incredible 8 years and 6 months.

Contributing to Michael Jolley's dismissal was a 58-expletive rant in 4 minutes with BBC Radio Humberside after a 0-4 defeat against Leyton Orient. A significant part of his rant was about the lack of funding from the board and suggesting that the press should have goaded the board about it earlier; the board maintain that he wasn't sacked but after discussing their options his position had become untenable.

Oh wow, Freddie Ljungberg is taking over a caretaker manager until they find someone permanent.

I really hope they don't take Nuno from Wolves, he's got that team in a great place at the moment and is taking them on a European dream. let him finish the year there to see what he can do.

After I heard they lost yesterday I looked at a highlight package of the game on Youtube. The stadium looked almost empty! Was it because of who they were playing? Or just that much disgust from the fans on how bad they are right now?

Unai always seemed uninterested in what was going on during games. No passion whatsoever. In fact the one word I'd associate with Emery? Bored.

Aiiiiiiii thangyow

Games this weekend.

Saturday

Norwich 2-2 Arsenal
Wolves 1-1 Sheffield United
Man United 2-2 Aston Villa
Leicester 2-1 Everton

Almost all the draws today but Leicester's winner came right at the death after a VAR check, same old Arsenal and United! :grumpy:🤬

How did Martial manage to put that ball OVER the goal from 3 yards out??

Amazon Prime will also show the Boxing Day fixtures later this month, if you haven't got Amazon Prime you can watch the games for free but signing up as there's a 30-day free trail.

If you want something a bit more old-school then Match Of the Day is on Wednesday night at 10.45pm.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Bournemouth
Burnley 1-4 Man City

Palace win despite being down to 10 men for much of the game after Sakho's tackle was deemed red card worthy which is debatable as his boot was high of the ground but he did win the ball and clear it, Schlupp with the winner in the 80th minute.

City were more like the team we have seen in the last two years, completely dominant and Burnley couldn't cope, two from Jesus Rodri with a banger and Mahrez late on, Brady got them a late consolation but it was all City from start to finish.

Amazon's coverage on both games was very good and I have no complaints, tomorrow night is the big one though!

Unfortunate that the Amazon deal doesn't extend to the U.S., I'm guessing because of the deal with NBC's gated community

Tonight's results

Chelsea 2-1 Aston Villa
Man United 2-1 Tottenham
Wolves 2-0 West Ham
Leicester 2-0 Watford
Southampton 2-1 Norwich
Liverpool 4-2 Everton (latest)

Massive win for United! Big win for Southampton in the relegation fight, all goals in the Liverpool game so far were scored in the first half!

Edit Liverpool 5-2 Everton. Fulltime.

Everton just lost the Merseyside Derby 5-2 and have dropped into the Relegation Zone. How did Silva manage to leave the stadium without being sacked?

Looks like he will be sacked in the next few days with various names being said as to his replacement, it seems like Everton want someone till the end of the season. David Moyes is one name!!

Man Utd are not as good player for player as Spurs, can't pass fluently unlike spurs who can. And yet we should have gone in at least two nil up and didn't. At no point did I think spurs were out of it, they were always capable of an equaliser. United nearly got caught on the counter a couple of times and I have no confidence in this team at all.

What was the attitude of the crowd towards Jose?

Romelu Lukaku and Chris Smalling used to play together for Manchester United. On Friday they play against each other, for Inter Milan and Roma. To flag this rivalry, a national Italian newspaper chose... this:

Jaw-dropping.

Italy's racial problem has become a lot bigger or is now more widely reported.

To be fair, I don't think it's dissimilar to something The Sun might have done 10-15 years ago.

Farhad Moshiri is at Everton's Finch Farm training complex for talks with Marco Silva, something could happen today.

You have to have an alternative ready, or you should have. And I doubt anyone will want to come in till after their next 4 fixtures which are Chel$ki, Man Utd, Leicester and Arsenal. It is hard enough to come in mid season, but immediately have a run of games like that where the possibility of not winning is high is not ideal. It would be a bit cruel to leave Silva hanging there in limbo though.

Ah, David Moyes, they need to be quick because of all the teams queuing up to get him. ;)

The Italian media don't seem to get the problem of what they have done even when it's pointed out to them. :boggled:
