Still, why isn't it on a major network/cable channel instead of something I've barely heard of?
This is an easy one. Because the viewership ratings for these races aren't very high in U.S. People, in general, just don't care as much for the big racing events and especially ones outside of the U.S. It annoys me too, but that is just how it is here. Look, I'm with you guys. I'll be watching a ton of the coverage because I love everything racing, but the reality is the WEC just doesn't draw big numbers here. That's why it doesn't air on one of the big 4 networks or even the higher profile cable channels (ESPN, etc). Keep in mind they would have to wipe nearly 24 hours of weekend primetime coverage off the slate to air most of the race. No chance of that happening on a major network.

#98 has had a tough LM24 so far to say the least, problems keep cropping up.

Meanwhile, Tinknell in #67 is now back on the tail of the #51 Ferrari, #63 not far behind too I think, all for 2nd. The night shift is certainly under way 👍

Oh no, now going forward we have to deal with this bile-coloured monstrosity with no bottom lip. It's a beautiful looking car that's being unfairly given the shaft due to BoP, but the livery was clearly an afterthought.

Edit: So as @Scuderia Paul pointed out, there's still a chance that TF Sport can give the old chassis a good send-off. But my point about the new one still stands.

That #36 Signatech Alpine looks really good under lights (don’t they all?), and in general. 👍

8 hours down, we’ve reached one third distance.

Eurosport guys are getting a bit fanatical over a small smoke trail from the #7 Toyota.

It’s hard to determine exactly what it is and where it’s coming from, but it can be seen with the lights from #8.

It's just dirt which looks worse because it's being illuminated by the lights of the #8.

At this point they can request a pit stop just to investigate.

The stewards decides to give even more punishment to a already abused Corvette.

The 58 year old amateur racer found himself in over his head and decided to call it a day. Without the 3rd driver the other 2 couldnt race.

I think it what a wise decision and it does make you wonder how he got threaded the needle to begin with. But respect for pulling the plug.

Here is the 88 car doing a nice spin as well..

You talking about Hoshino? He was all over the place. So he really called it quits so the #88 is finished?

#66 Ford goes for a spin. :boggled:

Pla getting in a bit too hot for his own good trying to get past Müller in the #94 Porsche.

Right, because they aren't spending enough money fixing the car so just throw another $7000 in the garbage for no reason.... And people wonder why racing series don't have financial support...
