Sad to hear about former West Ham and Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder passing away aged 65. :(
65 should be no age for a former professional athlete you would hope. I had forgotten he had a Brain Tumour years ago, which does not care how fit you may have been throughout your life, and will have taken its toll at the time. Seems no one has a bad word to say about him, and many sharing good stories.

Does anyone else watch Lloyd Griffith's Premier League Fan Reactions videos? He does a hilarious 5-10 second clip for the generic fan of each club in the league based on the game that week. He's been doing it for a couple of seasons now and they're hilarious.

This week's

What on Earth was he thinking?

He had Doncaster on course for promotion, and he's left - and not with Doncaster's blessing - to join our flaming garbage heap.

Good signing for us, not great for him.

Everton beat Southampton 1-0 a bit earlier on the MNF, Richarlison with a nice finish on 9 minutes and it was quite an even game.

There are some Premier League games on this week but not everyone is playing, for some reason there is seven games and not ten.

Here are the games for this week.

Tuesday.
Man City v Wolves (8pm BT)

Wednesday.
Burnley v Leicester (6pm Sky)
Sheffield United v Aston Villa (6pm BT)
Crystal Palace v Man United (8.15 Sky)

Thursday.
Fulham v Tottenham (6pm BT)
West Brom v Everton (6pm Sky)
Liverpool v Chelsea (8.15 Sky)

Liverpool v Chelsea is a massive game in the battle for the top four.

Man City 4-1 Wolves
Sheffield Utd 1-0 Villa
Burnley 1-1 Leicester
Palace 0-0 Man Utd

It was pretty much all City in last nights game, Two goals from Jesus and one from Mahrez plus a Dendoncker OG, Coady with an equaliser for Wolves.

City are now 14 points clear at the top after another miserable performance by United, only one shot on target all game from us with no pace or urgency, three 0-0's in a row now and we play City on Sunday. awful tonight. 👎

McGoldrick with a great finish for Sheff Utd in perhaps a surprise win for them, they had Jagielka sent off in the second half but they held on. It'll boost their confidence and nothing more as there is no way they are staying up. Good game between Burnley and Leicester, two good goals from Vydra and Iheanacho.

The United v Palace game was one of the dullest games I've seen in a long time, there was just no urgency in the team, no creativity, too slow on the ball and poor passing. Neither of the keepers had much to do all game. If I were with Ole now I'd be asking him to comensate me for my time.

Yes and with the fog this had to be the worst Premier League game for a TV viewer that there has been and will be all season. :yuck:

:gtplanet::cheers:

Last night David De Gea wasn't in the Man United squad for the Palace game, Ole said it was for personal reasons and today I have heard that he will likely miss more games, I have no idea what the problem with him is but I want to give him my best wishes and hope he will be back soon. Good opportunity for Henderson though.

Its going to be complete chaos in the Footballing World in a few weeks when there is an international break for the World Cup qualifiers, there are so many different rules and restrictions for people entering and leaving countries right now, its just an absolute minefield. They should just not have an international break and continue with the regular season, that way the season can finish sooner and players and staff will have more time to rest and prepare for the Euros in the Summer...if it goes ahead.

I don't know how confirmed it is, but I've read that it's for the birth of his first child. His wife/girlfriend is in Spain and he's flown over for that and to spend some time with her and the child before coming back. But then he will have to quarantine for another 10 days on his return.

West Brom 0-1 Everton
Fulham 0-1 Spurs
Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea

All away wins tonight, Richarlison with Everton's goal as they strengthen their case for a CL spot, WBA should have had a penalty when Diagne was hauled down, Fulham can feel really hard done by as they were denied perfectly good equaliser for hand ball after Sanchez rifled the ball close range on to Lemina who could do nothing about it, it was a Tosin OG for the Spurs goal and they were dominant in the first half but it was all Fulham in the second.

Five home league defeats in a row for Liverpool now, which has never happened before. Mason Mount with a great finish in the second half and Chelsea deserved the win, Liverpool had a lot of the ball but didn't do a lot with it with only one shot on target all game, another flat performance from them and Klopp took Salah off just after the hour mark when Liverpool were chasing the game and Mo didn't look injured, he looked furious.

Games for the weekend.

Saturday.
Burnley v Arsenal (12.30 BT)
Sheffield United v Southampton (3pm Sky)
Aston Villa v Wolves (5.30 Sky)
Brighton v Leicester (8pm Sky)

Sunday.
West Brom v Newcastle (12pm Amazon)
Liverpool v Fulham (2pm Sky)
Man City v Man United (4.30 Sky)
Tottenham v Crystal Palace (7.15 Sky)

Monday.
Chelsea v Everton (5.30 BT)
West Ham v Leeds (8pm Sky)

Got a feeling that we are getting battered on Sunday...

Burnley 1-1 Arsenal
Sheff Utd 0-2 Southampton
Villa 0-0 Wolves
Brighton 1-2 Leicester.

Not a lot to shout about today.

Some comical Arsenal defending led to Burnley's second half equaliser, They tried paying it out from the back and Leno passed to Xhaka who tried to cross it over to a team-mate but instead it hit Chris Wood at close range and went in, Wood didn't know a lot about it! Arsenal definitely should have had a penalty for handball as it was very clear to me. Aubameyang gave Arsenal the lead.

Leicester came from 1-0 down to win, Lallana gave Brighton the lead in the first half with his first goal for the club, Iheanacho and Amartey with Leicester's second half goals.

Apart from that...

In the Bundesliga however in the big game Bayern beat Dortmund 4-2 after Haaland put Dortmund 2-0 up inside 10 mins, a Lewandowski hat-trick and Goreztka goal gave Bayenr the win

Rangers have won the Scottish Premiership for the first time in 10 years, breaking Celtic's run of 9 straight league titles.

Glasgow sounds like a war zone right now.

They've conceded more goals than they've dropped points.

They've conceded 9 goals. Domination.

West Brom 0-0 Newcastle
Liverpool 0-1 Fulham
Man City 0-2 Man United

Going from worse to much worse for Liverpool! Jurgen made seven changes to try an stop the rot (a few of the changes were injured in-forced) and it didn't quite work, Lemina with the Fulham game just before half time after he robbed Salah of the ball in the Liverpool box and poked home, Liverpool lead siege on the Fulham goal but defensively Fulham held firm for a great win for them, Tosin and Andersen were brilliant at the back for them, six straight league home defeats for Liverpool now...

Didn't expect that result in the derby at all! United had a penalty after just 40 seconds after Jesus's clumsy challenge on Martial, Bruno converted the spot kick, it was all City after that but Henderson only had one good save to make, second goal came from a great run and goal from Luke Shaw at the start of the second half and after that it was all City again but they didn't really do a lot. Fantastic win for us, City are still winning the title of course but I really thought we would get battered, away run continues and a great result for us. 👍👍👍

West Brom 0-0 Newcastle was as bad as it sounds, Spurs v Palace to come tonight.

Big congrats to Rangers and Gerrard, well deserved. 👍

If Liverpool used to be heavy metal and City want to play a symphony. Then what music genre is Ole?

Chelsea 2-0 Everton.
West Ham 2-0 Leeds

Didn't see both games, a Ben Godfrey OG and a Jorginho penalty for Chelsea and a Lingard penalty and a Dawson header for West Ham, Chelsea stay fourth after continuing the good form since Tuchel took over and West Ham up to fifth.

Champions League returns this week with the second legs of the last 16 and the Europa League with the last 16 first leg ties, Man City v Southampton in the league is on tomorrow night, which is a bit weird as neither teams have a game in hand. No other PL games this week.

Games this weekend.

Friday.
Newcastle v Aston Villa (8pm BT)

Saturday.
Leeds v Chelsea (12.30 BT)
Crystal Palace v West Brom (3pm Sky)
Everton v Burnley (5.30 Sky)
Fulham v Man City (8pm BT)

Sunday.
Southampton v Brighton (12pm BBC)
Leicester v Sheffield United (2pm Sky)
Arsenal v Tottenham (4.30 Sky)
Man United v West Ham (7.15 Sky)

Monday.
Wolves v Liverpool (8pm Sky)

Looks like we've got some serious competition now for "most badly run club in Sheffield":

So as far as we know Wilder is still in charge but he is set to leave.

Apparently its because of disagreements with the board about transfers (isn't it always!) When they signed Ramsdale and Brewster in the summer the board thought they were players that the squad didn't need and in January Wilder was promised he'd be able to get a few loan players in but that didn't happen they didn't sign any one in January , from what I have read Wilder and the SU board have been at loggerheads for a while now.

He was due to take the obligatory press conference today ahead of the Leicester game on Sunday but that was cancelled, will be interesting to see what happens before that game.

Newcastle 1-1 Villa tonight, Ciaran Clark OG for Villa Lascelles got a 95th minute equaliser.

This Everton v. Burnley game has turned into quite a game. Burnley 2 Everton 1 at halftime and Pickford has gone off with an apparent muscle injury or rib injury.

Wilder's officially gone from Sheffield United, Paul Heckingbottom is in interim/caretaker charge until the end of the season.
