Man Utd should loan van de Beek to Dawson's Creek and bring back Lingard for next season.
I'd rather we just gave Van De Beek a run of games in midfield. I don't really want Lingard back, it wouldn't be best for United or him IMO. He'd likely go straight back on the bench or be played out of position. Lingard's best position is around where we play Bruno, and Bruno is one of the first names on the team sheet. He's doing great on loan and getting a lot of game time, he won't get game time if he comes back to United so we might as well get some money for him, wish him well and buy players for the positions we need to fill. CB, CDM and RW being the most important ones IMO but we seem to be very keen on a striker.

Some big games at both ends of the table.

Swansea, Birmingham and Rangers and its players and staff have began a week long boycott of all social media in response to online abuse and discrimination, it was Swansea who started it off earlier after three of its players were subject to racist abuse in recent weeks, hopefully more clubs and players will follow and take a stand.

Hindsight is 20/20. ;)

£18m > £51m increase in value in a year, and after not doing much at Chel$ki, as mentioned in the clip, doubts were understandable. Luckily for Cit€h, of all the money they have spent, and there has been quite a lot, ;) Aguero aside, it may be the best money they have spent.

Fulham 0-1 Wolves
Man City 1-2 Leeds
Liverpool 2-1 Villa
Palace 1-4 Chelsea

Heartbreak for Fulham last night with Wolves winner coming in the 92nd minute from Adama Traore, Fulham now 3 points of safety with Newcastle having two games in hand.

Another week and another surprise home defeat for one of the big teams, Stuart Dallas with two goals and the winner was in the 91st minute, Ferran Torres with the equaliser and Leeds also had Liam Cooper sent off, City had 71% possession and Leeds scored with their only two shots on target, rare off day for City.

Liverpool-Villa was quite even, Watkins gave Villa the lead and there was another controversial offside call this time involving Liverpool who had a Firmino goal chalked off, Salah equalised before a banger from TAA in front of a watching Southgate got Liverpool the win and they moved into fourth...briefly!

Chelsea ran riot in the first half scoring twice in the first 10 mins through Havertz and Pulisic, Zouma got the third and it was 0-3 at half time and Palace didn't have a shot on goal, Benteke got one back before Pulisic got his second, Mount had another brilliant game

Madrid need to get rid of this garbage Alfredo di Stefano stadium. It’s embarrassing to host CL games and El Clasico here.

Bernabeu is under-going massive redevelopment including having a roof fitted, Real have been playing at the Di Stefano since last May.

Burnley 1-2 Newcastle
West Ham 3-2 Leicester
Spurs 1-3 Man United

Massive win for Newcastle earlier, went 1-0 down at half time with Vydra getting the goal Saint-Maximin scored and assist for Murphy just 10 min after coming on, big blow for Fulham, Newcastle now 6 points clear of Fulham with a game in hand.

West Ham continued their good form against quite a flat Leicester team, Lingard with two goals and Bowen with the other as they went 3-0 up, Iheanacho scored twice late on, after the game it was revealed that Maddison, Perez and Choudhury were left out of the Leicester squad for a Covid breach.

United had a perfectly good goal ruled out by Cavani after McTominay was judged to have fouled Son in the build up, it was a stupid decision and Son then scored a few minutes after to make it 1-0 at HT, But then a brilliant second half performance by United with goals from Fred, Cavani and Greenwood. Pogba and Cavani were brilliant, Spurs had no answer in the second half.

Sheff Utd v Arsenal to come tonight.

That was one of the daftest decisions since Maguires header against Burnley was dissalowed (as a United fan at least, no doubt there are plenty of other similarly daft decisions since out there the fans of other clubs will clearly recite). The constant play acting by Spurs players really started to spoil that match at times though, Son hardly shone in a good light for the way he reacted to that "foul". But as long as refrees continue to turn a blind eye to simulation it will keep happening as there is no down side to it beyond looking a bit silly in a replay.

United were a bit too slow in the first half but we were fantastic in the second, as well deserved 3 points and a great performance in the end. Cavani rightly was MotM and Greenwood came on and made a quick and important impact, he was class for the time he was on the pitch. I have no pity for Spurs after the way they played.

There is a bit of recent history between Spurs and United now after Lamela got Martial sent off in the 6-1 defeat in October, really glad we got the better of them after today.

Mourinho reacted to what Ole said about the Son thing, what Mourinho said was pretty weird and he was probably trying to deflect heat away from the defeat.

All the Saturday 3pms have been rescheduled so they wont clash with Prince Philip's funeral out of respect, The only Premier League game that was going to be played at 3pm was Wolves v Sheff Utd and that will now take place at 8.15pm.

I have no way to describe how relegated we are.

Even if the EFL's horsecrap punishment didn't stand, we'd be in the relegation zone by a point still.

Here are the games this weekend, its the Premier League and FA Cup semi finals.

Friday.
Everton v Tottenham (8pm Sky)

Saturday.
Newcastle v West Ham (12.30 Sky)
Wolves v Sheffield United (8.15 Sky)

Sunday.
Arsenal v Fulham (1.30 Sky)
Man United v Burnley (4pm Sky)

Monday.
Leeds v Liverpool (8pm Sky)

FA Cup Semis

Saturday.
Chelsea v Man City (5.30 BBC One)

Sunday.
Leicester v Southampton (6.30 Sky)

There are a few league games in mid-week next week.

Bad night for Harry Kane and Spurs as Kane went off with another ankle injury late on during their game v Everton shaking his head, fairly hard to explain how he picked it up but it was quite innocuous.

Game finished 2-2 with Kane scoring twice and Sigurdsson scoring twice, the second goals from both were really good.

Spurs have the league cup final next weekend and of course there is the Euros with England this summer, so a lot of people will be hoping that Kane's injury isn't severe.

Man City's quadruple dreams are over after losing 1-0 to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi final earlier, Ziyech with the only goal in the second half and De Bruyne limped off for City as well, they can still win a treble this season....but not the treble. ;)

Newcastle beat West Ham 3-2 earlier in a mad game, Wolves v Sheff Utd is on now and United can get relegated if they lose, currently 0-0.

Congrats to Norwich for winning promotion back to the Premier League next season, well deserved as they have been the best team in the Championship by far.

So in today's games so far Arsenal and Fulham finished 1-1 and Man United beat Burnley 3-1, but that's not the big news today.

The big six clubs in England with the biggest three clubs in Spain and Italy have written a letter of intent to UEFA to set up a European Super League with a formal announcement due tonight, the project has been lauched to rival the Champions League and it obviously involves vast sums of money bankrolled by American bank JP Morgan.

UEFA, Premier League, La Liga and The FA have all released separate statements condemning this big development and rightly so, the reaction to this has been really bad, no likes this idea as its just pure greed. Gary Neville calls it an absolute scandal. Its is a bit of a disgrace.

The evening before the new CL format is being announced - that strikes me as deliberately churlish...

A passionate speech by Neville on Sky Sports today... can't say I disagree with anything he is saying, this will wreck football in England.

Neville is clearly furious but manages to hold it together brilliantly and really gets his point across. It's going to be an interesting few days, esp. if the EPL decide to punish the breakaway clubs.

Is there some sporting event going on I'm unaware of right now?

The local apes are going crazy over something, unless they are watching the Rangers v Celtic game on catch-up.

edit: This guy is going full-on bat-poo crazy, surely can't be watching the snooker?? He also started before the Leicester game kicked off, but whatever he is watching, he sounds like he will have a stroke before it's over.

Which big six is this week's big six?

Manchester United vs Burnley, Women's Super League, or cricket.

Let the 'big six' go, and hope it falls on its a*se. If that means my club goes bust, so be it. Any player who goes with their team to be part of this should not be allowed to play internationally, as they are not part of FIFA any more.

And if it they do try it, and it fails, they don't get back in at the top, they start at the bottom of the pyramid.

If this goes through, at least I'll have an excuse to replace the Arsenal curtains I've had for a decade.

To play devils advocate, it's no secret that both FIFA and UEFA are greedy and there has been no shortage of scandal and corruption. So any accusation that this Super League is all about greed flys straight back in the face of much of what FIFA and UEFA do and care about, money. I don't think it's a good idea, however it's a shame the immediate public response is along the lines of "we will not let you", " we will do everything we can to stop you", "we will ban you from as many competitions as we can" type fanfare. Wouldn't a statement confirming that they have asked the clubs involved to come together to discuss why they want this super league and what can be done to prevent any potential damaging split from occurring have been better?

That doesn't prevent the split but what it does is makes a clear pathway for constructive dialogue rather than pure threats. If the clubs don't take that opportunity that's on them and I'm sure the media will cover it appropriately and there will be no shortage of statements. But this immediate agressive reactionism is not constructive, it's the boy throwing a tantrum because he's been told something he doesn't like. That doesn't mean FIFA and UEFA are wrong about how damaging this could be, but they just make themselves look worse by jumping into an agressive stance and making threats immediately.

Of course those in the know, know that the clubs have been discussing thenew CL format set to be announced tomorrow. So this to me smacks that these top clubs looking to breakaway aren't getting what they want, but that's not how this has played out today. It's maybe more a case of both sides being the child that's playing up than just UEFA and FIFA but someone needs to act like the grown up. By simply highlighting the dialogue that has occurred and then offering an opportunity to see why and what could be done to avoid these clubs breaking away both UEFA and FIFA could make themselves look at lot better than they have done today.

So its formally been announced.

Man United, Man City, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have confirmed that they have joined a new European Super League as founder members, other founders are Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid of Spain and AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus of Italy, another three teams will join before its inaugural season.

Its a mid week competition with 20 team eventually but 15 founders to start and another 5 to join based on 'achievements the previous season', teams will still take part in their domestic leagues and competitions, two groups of 10 with the top three qualifying for the quarter finals and then a play off system between the two groups to determine the other quarter finalists.

its been reported that clubs taking part will get a £3 billion payment, not making that up!

The condemnation of this continues, Jamie Carragher says he is embarrassed by Liverpool and UEFA has reiterated its stance by saying clubs and players taking part could be banned from future UEFA and FIFA competitions.
