Try BB -5 if you're not already. I can avoid all powerslides on softs and approx. 90% of the time on mediums* and the tyres only wear slightly quicker on the back.

*- Unless I give it too much steering input. Or too much throttle. Or glance at a brake marker. Or attempt to overtake. Or fail to say the correct incantation at the correct time in the correct ancient tongue.

Can I borrow your incantation? I think I'm using the wrong ones. They seem to make the car angry at me. And I was running -4 on BB.

Then again maybe I was making the car too happy and it wants to do celebration spins.

This is that 1 round where, I believe, PD just like to take the piss so they all can have a good laugh at our expense.

I finally got around to posting the replay from Exhibition Series Round 10 Chevrolet vs Porsche. My first win at Laguna Seca.

Sure. You just wait until you go into turn 1 and then yell, “Oh ****, that was close” then in turn 2 you shout “Don’t you dare you ****ing idiot” then turn 3 is “Oh **** not again” etc... Final turn is the hardest because you have to wait until just before the apex before screaming “Not here you ************!”

Looking ahead at the N24 track in the Manu Series. Love the fact that it will be held in same evening as the real N24!

Only part that sucks is the length of out lap. Wish PD had incorporated the out lap shortcut for the qualifying runs.

Edit: to the thousandths!! Odds are it will never happen again!

My earlier opinion about the Willow Nations combo stands; I like it. I know. I'm the only one. I do feel this is a case where having a wheel really helps because the car needs smooth minimal steering input to turn. Of course, dirty air will be an issue but this could be a combo where just keeping it on track will net a good result.

Based on my brief testing, brake bias doesn't help the rears much, if at all. Running softs more than ten laps and the rear will eventually begin drifting on its own on that super long right hander in sector 1 no matter how smooth you are.

Same, Willow was like driving on Ice.

Do we know what the N300 is for Tsukuba? All The race details say is "Garage Car."

Any N300 you want. If there's an limitation on the car choice it'll list it either as a one make or the car choices that it's limited to.

A META will emerge, though. Probably the Roadster.

I like the car/track combo well enough. I don't like the tires on that car. And yeah, being on a controller for combos like this probably doesn't help anything, either.

I'm actually looking forward to this combo as well. Running the Red Bull Jr. at Big Willow is pretty much the only way you'll even get me to drive this cursed track. Historically I'm really good at driving difficult-to-drive cars with high downforce (F1500T, the Group C cars, the Merc F1 that locks the rear axle below 4th gear, and the RB Jr's when they're full of fuel), so I'm hoping for a good result here. Of course I bet the participation will be low so I'll probably end up in Top Split with you and a bunch of other people that I'm too slow to beat.

Well, not including tuneable cars, there are 39 N300 cars to choose from.

18 RWD
3 FF
11 AWD
5 MR
2 RR

PD could limit it to JDM cars, like they've done in the past, but I really hope tuned cars aren't allowed.
I want to run the Crown, Fugu Z, 250 GT Berlinetta, G.T.350, 930T, 911 Carrera or 22B.
I'll only get to run the one slot at 21:00. So, without getting disconnected, hope I can choose one of the above.

The META will be the S-FR Racing Concept. It might also be the Roadster TC, but I don't think that can be tuned up to N300.

:lol::lol: I earned that one.... (I wasn't sure if they were limiting cars to a specific list or any N300)

Thanks. Good to know.

If anyone plans on doing a meme run at Tsukuba in the F-150 or Tundra, I can make an itasha to really ramp up the meme factor. XD

Thats.... thats super tempting TBH :lol::lol:

If I detune a car, it'll be the Amemiya FD3S. It's not the best, but it's cool to look at in replays. Wish PD did so thing like this, with the variety of custom cars from past GT games. 👍

I tried out the RB 2014jr at Willow Springs..... and mistakes were made.

So many mistakes were made, I decided to share with the rest of the class. I'm laughing because it rapidly became a comedy of errors.

I set this as a Custom Race, 23 Laps against the AI. Fuel x5, Tires x10. Ran 10 laps on sports medium and 10 laps sports soft.

Needless to say, I have a LOT of practice to do.

I am so relieved to find out the fidget-spinner mode is the default. This might be the most hilarious race in FIA history.

It's not until next week, but I'm sooooo tempted to use the XD.

The STI & EVo IV optimum times, were 1:06s flat. Couldn't piece the lap together like my quickest laps.
EVO X is stop, point & squirt.
Crown feels good, even with no LSD. Tight suspension.
The XD is so easy. Takes the corners smoothly, where the other 4WDs under & oversteer. Plus, the XD has double the torque of the Crown and EVO IV. 30-33kgfm more torque than the STI & EVO X. Weighs 7kg less than the STI, 70kg more than the EVO X and same BHP as both those cars and the EVO IV.
Crown only weighs 30kg more than the EVO IV, but 200-300kg lighter than the EVO X, XD and STI.

I tell you what, PD accurately modelled the brakes and tyre physics for these cars. BIIIIIG difference in tyre/wheel size and brake technology, from the 20 years gap of the EVO IV and the other modern cars. I'll do a Custom run with the XD and Crown, to see how the big sedans handle 15 laps of stop & go. Fun stuff.
