Another Jaguar driver here too....
I had a few good rounds, missed a couple and then had a nightmare on the last round where I came in on Mediums, and put another set of mediums on in the pit stop 🤬

Do we have to run it with the same manufacturer? I thought that was the season over and new manufacturers contracts could be signed now?
Yes. The contract we signed also extends to the next season coming up.

Please note that players will not be able to change their affiliation manufacturer contract at the end of Season 1 of the 2021 Series.

I'm a Weekend vRacer so i can only do Saturdays races basically 5 round for each series. With that out the way this was our best FIAGTC season to date. we got a pretty good result in 8 out 10 round
Up first, Nations.

Let’s see what we have for Nations….

Rounds 2 and 3 are the obligatory open choice Gr.4 and Gr.3 races at Maggiore East and Seaside Reverse respectively

Round 4 has the X2019 return to Sardegna A, this time in forward instead of reverse.

Round 5 marks the return of SSRX, this time with provided N400 cars.

Round 6 features 2 laps of the Green Hell with free choice of N300 cars.

Round 7 seems to be a repeat of a round from 2020/21 Exhibition: Roadster Tourings at Yamigiwa Reverse with very high tyre wear. Not good for me.

Round 8 has Gr.2 cars return to the Red Bull Ring

Round 9 is a Audi TT Cup spec race at Alsace. I hate understeer, so this round is going to be rough for me too.

Round 10 is another open Gr.3 race, this time at Laguna Seca. Considering my poor previous performances at Laguna Seca, I might be running all 5 rounds to improve my results.

Still an interesting calendar on the whole, though.

Maybe a new circuit with Round 1? I mean, the GR86 we know will be at Bathurst in the GR Cup. Odd to leave the circuit and details blank.

3,4,5,8 & 10 look like my go-to rounds. The others aren’t so attractive.

TTs at Alsace seems a particularly torturous experience. I also wonder whether anything will challenge the SF-R at the ring. If there are viable alternatives that might be fun.

We only know the circuit for that Bathurst race because Toyota posted it on their website, whereas on the Gran Turismo site details for that Toyota Cup race are also blank

The car and location is on the GT site. Not just due to the Toyota site. The final round is blank though.

Only Rd.4, 5, and 8 look even remotely interesting, and of those only Rd.4 is something I'm actually looking forward to. No F1500T race, having the oval race at SSRX instead of BMB, and 2 of the tracks I really like (Yamagiwa and DTS) in the wrong direction...it would take some real effort for PD to make a less interesting schedule than this. Gotta love how they made 1/3 of the schedule open GR.3/4 like we don't have a separate championship for JUST that. Well, actually it would only take mild effort, because clearly they didn't put ANY effort into making this schedule...

I might just suck it up and do Rd.3 (and maybe Rd.2) just so I don't go scoreless for the first 3 races, but I can't see myself doing more than the minimum 4 rounds this season. I might have to do 5 if one of them doesn't go well, but I'll be sitting out a large part of this season.
Slow cars at SSRX sounds like a laugh.
This is honestly the only thing making this race interesting (aside from its inherent meme-worthiness). It should make the racing even closer (but unfortunately even more luck dependent - if that's even possible). It also means maybe it'll be an old-school muscle car round. '60s NASCAR anyone? I know I'm being naively optimistic...

The F50 could probably beat the S-FR around the Ring thanks to the Ring’s high speed sections; the S-FR is really slow on the straights. The F50’s main issue is that is that it handles like a barge in the corners; BB+5 is mandatory and even then, turning in early and trying to exploit weight transfer to swing the back end around is a must.

I tested the F50 around the Ring today with the race settings and a sub-8 minute lap time is doable, but I lack the consistency to nail that perfect lap around the Ring.

At least the slower cars hopefully means I can save the car if I get knocked out of shape. I had absolutely no luck with the previous two incarnations of this race….

Will post Nations once the full schedule is up (including ToD for each track). Though I have filled in as much as I can on the spreadsheet in my Sig.

. The Citroen does very well too (I tested it and boy is it hard to drive @MCL1974 care to share how it went for you?)
Sorry for the late reply! The Citroen Gr 3 is indeed a bit difficult to drive. In fact, it was so horrible at the Nordschleiffe that I did not even bother to enter. I was about 15 seconds slower with it then when driving the AMG or Jaguar, could not keep it under control!

But I also raced it at Barfcelona and Fuji and in both races it behaved really well. Oddly it was on its best on the hard tyres at Catalunya, so much that I did not use the mediums at all. The last round at Sardegna I could not do due to work but I did do some testing at this track and it did do well there too.

The car gets loose in very tight corners, going into oversteer or understeer, you never know in advance....
For example the last sections at Fuji and Catalunya you have to be cautious. But if you are easy on the throttle it goes well. I use a controller but can still control it okay. And not the fastest car but it is okay on the straights.

The Gr 4 I really liked. It will never be in a top 10 for fastest lap times but it is stable, easy to control, okay on its tyres and corners well. Felt comfortable in it and it did awesome at Laguna Sega with a third place and it was better then expected at Spa.

Even if we could switch manufacturers inbetween the seasons I think i would have stayed with Citroen....so thanks again for your previous statistics on which I partly based my choise. (together with a lot of testing...)

Not too bad. Will probably give Rounds 7 and 9 a miss as neither of those circuits interest me.
