8 laps on softs unless you or your car are particularly good on tires, then maybe 9 laps. The rest on mediums.

The Aston will do anywhere from 7-9 on softs. The optimal with no other factors is probably 8/10 but the 8th on the softs and the 11th on meds is line ball.

If I start on Softs (not likely, given my qualifying history at Interlagos), I'll do 8 laps, then 10 on Mediums. In the much more likely scenario that I start on Mediums, it'll be 9/9.
Did a practice run for wear yesterday. The M4 was pretty okay on the RM, but seemed to chew up the RS. Probably gonna be a 10M/8S run for me. As I have pretty poor luck in the qualys, I'll likely be starting the meds. Blasting through with the softs with less gas seemed to work out okay for me. Guess we'll see.

What a dumbass race. I messed up in qualy. would have been top 3. Started around 6th. an M4 behind me divebombs into T1. It's a long ass race! Just wait! M4 then, messes up everyone elses race. I mean ALLLLLL race. Divebombing everyone and blocking and running people off the road.
As my tyres were wearing, I couldn't even give people space to pass as they got impatient too. Making passes on the outside instead of waiting a moment. I had to block an RC F that was out of control too.
I'm just dropping spots. Leaders piyt and I'm with Dragline. The M4 straight up punts him and then runs him off the track! I waited until I could get a run to revenge punt it off. Soon after, I get .5 seconds and another 1 second penalty.
Then, a 650S that unghosts on the racing line towards the final turn, proceeds to block me all the way down the whole straight! For no daggone reason.
Finished last.
Might have to join pennanton with an alt. If this is what Season 2 brings, I'm not having it with my main.

Slot 1. What a dumpster fire.
Door 3 in with @05XR8 @SmellMyCheese and @RX8 Racer
Qualy didn’t go great (38.4) and I end up Q10 just in front of cheese and rx8racer. Start on mediums, plan is to run solid but conservative and pit between laps9 and 11 depending on traffic etc…
Get an on start but the pack just ahead get into some argy bargy through the first 2 turns. As a result I get a big run on a GTR down the straight. As we reach the double left I’m inside and in front. He doesn’t back out so I keep as tight left as I can to avoid running him wide. He manages to push my rear bumper as he runs a bit wide and then, having unbalanced me and touched the green stuff, he spears back across the track and hits me. I hold on to the car but pick up a 2 second penalty for “forcing him off”. From there the race descends into farce. There is mad diving, blocking and punting everywhere. A couple of laps later I think I’m guilty of running @SmellMyCheese wide at the double left unintentionally. I slow down a bit over the next lap to let him catch and pass. That’s when a lunatic in an M4 who thinks it’s a drift race starts throwing his car randomly all over the track. I get stuck in the middle of a 3 wide group into the tight left hander and pushed out into mr Drift. No harm comes of it but at the next tight right he throws it up the inside and bumps me off intentionally. Utter madness. About this time Spacedustdaddy appears at the rear of the field. I don’t know what happened, but I can have a wild guess.
The rest of the race for me is about recovery but it honestly isn’t enjoyable. I think I finished p16 for 64 points but I was so grumpy I didn’t really take it in (or save the replay).
I will probably go again later, but what a mess.

First slot of the night at Interlagos. Good old RCf managed to qualify 3rd and started on the mediums, was just sitting off the front 2 and had a BMW dive me at the last real corner at the bottom of the hill and push me almost off and ended up back in 5th trying to defend that position and get back up the field.
Ended up trying to bump draft the car in 4th to get us away from an aggressive mustang from Japan that seemed to have started on softs. Ended up taking 4th back on lap 8 when 4th had to serve a 0.5 penalty. The 3 in front pitted on lap 8 and I went an extra lap. Wasn't paying a lot of attention to what tyres those guys started on but given my comparitive pace on the soft at the end I'm guessing probably started on soft and went to medium.
So I split strategy 9m/9s ended up catching the BMW that forced me off at the start and was pushed off the road turn 4 at austria Gp style. Never mind caught him back up and only slightly ashamed to say that I escorted him wide at the final turn as he had at the start of the race. Up into 3rd bit had wasted too much time mucking around and had to settle, another lap and I would have caught P2 as I pulled over a second on the last lap to be under a second at the line.
Left the race with the fastest lap and 192 points that'll do me just fine for what isn't a favourite track of mine and the Lexus isn't the best gr4 car and Interlagos not my favourite track in the game.

Well that race was a joke. As mentioned was in with @D_Dragline, @05XR8 and @RX8 Racer and qualified 11th directly behind dragline. The incident in front with Dragline collects me, with me ploughing into the back of one of them who hadn't ghosted stopping me dead, falling back to 18th out of 19. Next lap, Dragline serves penalty and unghosts on my inside and knocks we way out wide (just one of those things so no worries). Almost quitting, carried on to see if i could at least get some places back.
From then on it was just a total mess. Blocking, pushing, diving, some lagging too. So many people running people off intentionally, you just couldn't help but get elbows out and dish some back in the end. Think i was 12th in the end but really don't care and not doing that again.

So sorry man. That was just clumsy and dumb on my part. I completely misjudged my timing to get on throttle after serving the penalty and it wasn’t until contact that I realized how wide I’d drifted. It was tough enough in that race without my incompetence making it worse.

No problem at all, by that stage race was over already and i didn't lose any places as we were already at the back 😆

Largely uneventful after the opening lap, but managing the tyres with the Evo and maintaining a competitive pace is not happening at this track. Happy with my 10th place for the night.

What's the tyre wear with the Evo like in general? I've not had much experience with it but I can only assume it's not great on tyres? WRX and GTR suffer the same fate from my experience...
On another note, how do you make the replay not show any driver names? What is this witchcraft I see??

Went again in slot 3. I don’t know what has happened to me at Interlagos. I just cannot match the pace there. Stronger lobby this time, Door 19, Q16. Made my way up to p12 as people battled in the first 3 laps. Then just sat tidy in the train until lap 7 when an 86 sent the mother of all dives up my inside at the left hander at the bottom of the hill. I lost 3 spots as a result of being run wide and the loss of momentum for the straight. Then sat uneventfully in 15th until pitting. Once everyone had pitted I was still in 15th but as tyres wore On lap 16 I got the double left a bit wrong and copped a track limits penalty which was enough for p16 to get by. Nothing else happened and I finished p16 for 65 points. Not going again, this is not working for me tonight.

OZ started badly being punted off and the guy not getting a pen Q9 came P8. Euro was just a banger race, I rage quit it was so bad. Might try later, but weekly races have been terrible lately and if you can't even look forward to FIA what is the point of playing this thing at all?

Hey, whenever there's a livestreamed event, what sort of gloves are the drivers using? I know they're from Puma, but I'd really like to know the model; I've had it up to here with getting sweat all over my controllers, so I'm seriously considering a pair of sporting gloves much like the ones I see during those live events. Granted, I won't be using a wheel, instead opting for my usual DS4, but I really would like to keep my controllers clean and not have to wipe them down all the time.

Was No.1 in a lobby with many familiar faces. Quali lap wasn't particularly bad but it put me P16 (I guess that's what I get with no slip). First stint was just picking off positions from misdemeanours up ahead and 2nd stint was just falling back to people with fresher tyres after I pitted lap 8. Not a great result but could've been worse I guess.

Interlagos is my favourite track on this game so was looking forward to this one and was confident of a good result.
Qualified 3rd with a 1:38.1 with front 4 separated by 0.050 seconds. Only 0.8 seconds between the whole field. Managed to get into 2nd passing another Jag on lap 1 and sat behind a VW for a couple of laps. Knew I had to get past before his tires started to die and hold us up. Got through at T1 nd pulled out a gap of 3 seconds. That’s how it stayed for the rest of the race with the gap never dropping below 2.5 seconds or more than 3 seconds. Just kept it mistake free to take the win!

Things look bleak for me then...I'm less than 2k below you and on my best solo laps can only do a 37.2-27.3. I really don't want to have to slipstream hunt...
