The Bengals were up 22-0 at the half to New England. I joked to my brothers that they better not pull an Indy. Little did we know how close it would get. Some fluky plays, including a touchdown for the Pats where the ball was chucked into the endzone to a receiver draped by 3 defenders that got deflected right into another Patriot receiver's hands, nearly led to a comeback. In fact, Cincy never did score in the second half, but they were able to hold off NE for their 11th win of the season, 22-18. I sure was stressed out watching the last few minutes.
The AFC North is nowhere near sewed up. Buffalo comes into town next Monday night, followed by a visit from the Ravens which could possibly decide who eventually wins the division. Here is the one thing I do know. IF the Bengals win out AND the Chiefs drop one of their last two (though unlikely with their opponents being DEN and LV), Cincinnati will be the #1 seed in the AFC thanks to head-to-head wins against both KC and BUF.
