Before I hype up today's games, I want to make an omission. During the Bills at Lions game, there was a curious moment I forgot to mention. CBS play-by-play announcer, Jim Nantz noted the Lions' field goal kicker hasn't missed a field goal or extra point all season. Then... jinxed on a 29-yard field goal. Announcer jinxes happen.

Anyhow, we got more NFL action today! Enjoy today's action!

Miami wasn't paradise for the Houston Texans today. We were down 30-0 to Miami, ended up losing to Omnis' Miami Dolphins 30-15. Not even the Texans going to Kyle Allen was enough to get the Texans to playing winning football. The misery continues in H-Town.

Up next for the Houston Texans- we're hosting the Cleveland Browns next Sunday.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week!

Cincy beat Tennessee. And Jacksonville pulled off a miracle against the Ravens thanks in large part to former Bengal Marvin Jones. That means Cincinnati and Baltimore are tied atop the AFC North with the Ravens holding the spot currently due to the head-to-head along with a better divisional record.

The loser of that tie-breaker sits in 6th in the playoff race because both of them have a winning record against the Jets.

Steelers at Colts TONIGHT!

The AFC North meets the AFC South tonight in Indianapolis.

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
  • PIT Steelers (3-7, 4th in the AFC North) at IND Colts (4-6-1, 2nd in AFC South)
  • FAVORED: IND (-2.5)
  • OVER/UNDER: 39 points

Not a hot matchup, but still another Monday night of NFL action. So enjoy tonight's game!

This week:

  • BUF Bills at NE Patriots (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • CLE Browns at HOU Texans <<< D. Watson's return to Houston, playing with CLE
  • JAX Jaguars at DET Lions
  • NYJ Jets at MIN Vikings
  • IND Colts at DAL Cowboys (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • NO Saints at TB Buccaneers (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

BYE: ARI and CAR

I'm sorry I didn't update sooner. Enjoy this week's games!

Time to kick off another Sunday of NFL football. Cheer on your favorite team(s) and hope to get some good news about your team. Enjoy today's games!

Absolute 🤬 show by the Houston Texans today hosting the Cleveland Browns. This was the return of DeShaun Watson after him being suspended. Even some of the women who accused D. Watson were in attendance. The defense was rather stout to put the Texans up 5-0 early on a field goal and a safety. The Texans ended up getting thumped little-by-little on turnovers. Cleveland's scoring was on defense and special teams. Funny enough, the Texans scored the only OFFENSIVE score of the game on a late [inconsequential] Texans touchdown. We ended up losing this one 27-14. Seven straight losses now for this joke of a team who are now 1-10-1 in 2022. Tennessee and Jacksonville losing big is good in the spirit of "misery loves company," in at least some other AFC South teams lost while we lost.

Up next for the Houston Texans... at the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday at noon.

Congratulations to all winners from this week!

I hate that the Jets lost today.I think the red zone play calling was horrible. That said if Braxton Berrios holds on to that pass they win

The Bengals have now won 3 straight against the Chiefs. And Mahomes' ridiculous streak (I can't remember exactly how many games) of not losing in November or December is now over.

Perine has been a madman with Mixon out with his concussion the past two games. This may have been my favorite moment of the game. [Language warning!]

Meanwhile Cleveland knocked off John's hapless Texans, Pittsburgh won their game, and unfortunately Denver couldn't quite hold off Baltimore. That means the AFC North went 4-0 today. Cincy is still sitting behind the Ravens for the moment, though both teams are 8-4, and they have a hellacious schedule remaining. However, if Lamar Jackson misses any time with his injury, the top spot is for the taking.

I think the Lions have become a legitimate football team and I'm not sure what to do.
They've improved so much this year, even more than my Giants, I have to admit. Contenders fo' sho'. I love rooting for the Lions and Browns cause my whole lifetime they've been so bad, I'd love to see them both turn it around.

Najee Harris of the Steelers dribbled a Falcon today. Tuesday's Angry Runs segment on Good Morning Football should be interesting.

Saints at Buccaneers TONIGHT!

The NFC South is in vogue and on in display tonight in Tampa Bay.

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
  • NO Saints (4-8, 4th in the NFC South) at TB Buccaneers (5-6, 1st in the NFC South)
  • FAVORED: TB (-3)
  • OVER/UNDER: 41 points

If you'll be watching or following this game in any capacity, enjoy tonight's action!

I just watched Najee's play. I may hate the Steelers, but I've got to appreciate that stiff arm. AFC North running backs running angry, indeed.

Before I get to this post, I want to share an omission. I learned my Houston Texans were officially eliminated from postseason contention this season heading into our game hosting the Cleveland Browns. So our only chance of making the playoffs is buying tickets to playoff games or hosting watch parties. Sad state of affairs in this lost cause of a 2022 season for the Houston Texans.

Why don't we look at the standings in the NFL right about now? Find your favorite team(s):

--- AFC RANKINGS (as of: December 6, 2022) ---
  • AFC EAST: Buffalo (9-3), MIA (8-4), NYJ (7-5), NE (6-6)
  • AFC WEST: Kansas City (9-3), LAC (6-6), LV (5-7), DEN (3-9)
  • AFC NORTH: Baltimore and Cincinnati (8-4 each), CLE and PIT (5-7 each)
  • AFC SOUTH: Tennessee (7-5), IND, (4-8-1), JAX (4-8), HOU (1-10-1)

--- NFC RANKINGS (as of: December 6, 2022) ---
  • NFC EAST: Philadelphia (11-1), DAL (9-3), NYG (7-4-1), WAS (7-5-1)
  • NFC WEST: San Francisco (8-4), SEA (7-5), ARI (4-8), LAR 3-9)
  • NFC NORTH: Minnesota (10-2), DET (5-7), GB (5-8), CHI (3-10)
  • NFC SOUTH: Tampa Bay (6-6), ATL (5-8), CAR (4-8), NO (4-9)

To my knowledge, nobody has clinched anything towards the postseason. Only thing clinched by anybody is my Houston Texans clinching mathmetically ineligible for the postseason and eliminated as a result. Complaining about my Texans aside, let's look at this week's games:

  • LV Raiders at LAR Rams (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • HOU Texans at DAL Cowboys
  • NYJ Jets at BUF Bills
  • CLE Browns at CIN Bengals
  • MIN Vikings at DET Lions
  • MIA Dolphins at LAC Chargers (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • NE Patriots at ARI Cardinals (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

BYE WEEK: ATL, CHI, GB, IND, NO, and WAS

Enjoy this new week of NFL action!

The Houston Texans have benched Kyle Allen and put back in Davis Mills after two horrid starts by Allen. The 1-10-1 Texans are trying to avoid having the fewest wins in any season. The fewest ever they've had was two wins, which they have done twice.

Enough about my Texans... get ready for the Raiders at Rams tonight! Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching/following!

Dear god.

DEAR. FREAKING. GOD.

How on Earth do you freaking lose to the Rams???? HOW???? I swear I couldn't sleep until 1am. I was absolutely shocked, I lost my mind. This was by far the worst game I've ever seen from the Raiders in my entire life.

As for Baker Mayfield: Man, what a game. Hats off to him. I wish Derek Carr had just a little bit of his swagger.

I was more surprised to hear commentators talk so highly of Baker's 98 yard drive, than the drive itself. It was cause of a couple key defensive penalties that kept that drive alive. Yes, he had some good moments, but so did he receivers. While it was fun to watch, I think the media made it far bigger/better than it was.

Let the NFL's teams provide the action, and you provide the energy and hope to will your favorite team(s) to victory. Get ready for another Sunday of NFL action. Enjoy today's games!

Texas State Championship today- Houston Texans (1-10-1) at Dallas Cowboys (9-3). This is basically Houston's Super Bowl. In what many would consider a lopsided victory for Dallas, the actual game ended up being much closer. Late magic by the Dallas Cowboys gave them the 27-23 lead on a touchdown scamper with 41 seconds left on the clock. The Texans kept fighting, but ultimately, it wasn't enough. Your final- 27-23, Dallas Cowboys. State bragging rights go to Dallas for the next four years.

Up next for the Houston Texans: at home against Kansas City.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week's games!

I was at Bdubs with my brother today to watch the Bengals game (because even though the Colts are off, our CBS station decided to show Jets/Bills instead of Cincy/Cleveland). So we were keeping an eye on the other games, too. We were rooting hard for Houston to pull off the upset against so-called "America's Team," and it legitimately looked like they were going to do it. So disappointing to see that last second touchdown by Dallas.

In any case, at least Cincinnati won. Amazingly, this is Burrow's first win against Cleveland. That is despite being undefeated against the Chiefs. Football is funny. And possibly for the first time in my life, I was rooting for Pittsburgh. Turnovers were a killer, though, and Baltimore skated by for the win and retained the top spot in the division. The Bengals continue to sit in the top Wildcard spot.

I saw a picture in a Reddit E-Mail I got saying the Denver Broncos were officially eliminated from this postseason. So they're singing the blues like my Houston Texans. Meanwhile...

Patriots at Cardinals TONIGHT!

At the site of Super Bowl LVII, we have a Monday Night Football tussle in the Desert. East meets West, and AFC meets NFC.

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
  • NE Patriots (6-6, 4th in AFC East) at ARI Cardinals (4-8, 3rd in NFC West)
  • FAVORED: NE (-1.5)
  • OVER/UNDER: 43.5 points

This may not be a glamourous match, but it's still Monday Night Football for you to enjoy. Speaking of, enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching/following!

We have our first IN! team. Here is the Playoff picture as of right now:

More slots will be filled as the regular season nears its end.

This is the 15th week of NFL action, and some games will be played on Saturday this week. Here are some of the many games coming up this week:

  • SF 49ers at SEA Seahawks (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • IND Colts at MIN Vikings
  • MIA Dolphins at BUF Bills
  • DET Lions at NYJ Jets <<< Joey D vs. Blitz24

If the Lions make the playoffs, I will be the most insufferable fan. I absolutely love this team and MCDC.
