Are you more impressed or surprised about your Detroit Lions right now, @Joey D ?
That's tough. Right now, I'm more impressed with them than anything. They're firing on all cylinders and look like a legitimate football team. Overall though, I'm more surprised at how quickly the turnaround is happening. I figured it would be a 3-4 season process, not a season and a half. But the firing of Aubrey Pleasant was a good move since he really was holding the defense back and everyone getting healthy certainly helped as well. The Lions have confidence again as well which I'm sure is contributing to their success and they're not getting a bunch of questionable calls anymore either. You'll never convince a Lions fan that the refs aren't out to get the team, but they don't seem to be out to get them nearly as much as they used to.

Now that the main swing of regular season college football is done, the NFL wants your undivided attention with a slew of Saturday NFL action. So get ready for games to be played today. Enjoy today's games!

If the Lions make the playoffs, I will be the most insufferable fan. I absolutely love this team and MCDC.
At the rate the Vikings are playing. Detroit should be in. 🤦‍♂️

Boy, it must stink to be an Indianapolis Colts fan today. I mean... the Colts lead 33-0 at halftime at the Minnesota Vikings. Since then, the game went to Overtime, and the Vikes won 39-36. It's an NFL record of winning a game by a large margin of 33. Minnesota also clinched the NFC North with this victory. Now I am sure the Colts can relate to almost upsetting some team... like my Houston Texans almost upsetting the Dallas Cowboys this past weekend.

I usually like snooping on teams' Facebook fan pages after games. The Vikings fans were obviously thrilled, and the Colts fans... were absolutely on the level of "fire everybody!". BRUTAL for the Indianapolis Colts today.

Baltimore was downed by the boys in Brown. Well done.

A win for Cincy tomorrow against the Bucs would give them the outright division lead. I am a little worried that Brady is going to come out pissed and play out of his mind after the drubbing Tampa took last week.

There's no justice in the world where Kirk Cousins can get credit for an 80 or whatever yard touchdown pass when in the receiver had to take what was basically a glorified handoff thrown five yards behind where the ball was snapped all the way to the house all by himself.

At least when Tua is propped up by Tyreek he has to throw it vaguely where the first down marker is.

What a game  I don't know why I kept it on, probably cause I was busy doing chores anyway. But I've witnessed both of the biggest comebacks in NFL history. Sorry Colts fans. And now Matt Ryan has been on the losing end of both the biggest Super Bowl comeback and the biggest comeback in NFL history. I guess we won't see him in Canton.

Up 14-13 at the half, the Houston Texans were looking to subdue the visiting Kansas City Chiefs. Regulation solved nothing as the game was tied at 24 after regulation. After a fumble by the Texans, Kansas City rumbled into the end zone to sink the Texans once again. Final score: 30-24, Kansas City. Texans now 1-12-1 on the 2022 season. The nightmare continues.

Up next for the Houston Texans: at the Tennessee Titans on Christmas Eve.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week! Too bad my Texans are not on the winning side once again...

The Jets almost won but the last 2 minutes were a combination of bad defense (4th and inches and you allow a TD), bad QB play (Wilson is not built for this system) and incompetent clock management (Saleh was playing as if he knew the game was going to OT). Lions earned the victory on this game but not only do the Jets have questions at QB, now I wonder if the entire coaching staff is also at risk.

I hate to double post but I am at a loss for words. This has to be the dumbest way to lose a football game.

Why are you doing the pitchey pitchey woo woo WITH THE GAME TIED?!?!? Get down and take your chance in overtime. I kind of understand it if you're behind ala the Dolphins from a few years ago AGAINST the Patriots by the way. But the game is TIED.

Maybe they didn't know the game was tied? I mean, not like there are big boards at the stadium that say what the score is.

So the vikings won and with a new record of 33 point deficit over the colts.
Something odd fact.
While a 32 point deficit has happened in the AFC playoff. The last time in a regular season to come back was 23 points and who led them to that win....Kirk Cousins...
Guess winning the division wasn't challenging enough. 🤣

Not quite 33 points, but the Bengals came back against Tampa after being down 17 points today and scoring 34 unanswered. The Bucs tacked on a late garbage time touchdown, but that was it. Fun fact: Brady had an 89-0 record when his team was leading at home by at least 17 points. You can make that 89-1. :D

With the aforementioned Browns beating Baltimore, that puts Cincy atop the AFC North at 10-4.

Rams at Packers TONIGHT!

Two teams that probably are unlikely to be in the Postseason will clash on the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field. These two are also two teams in the bottom half of their respective NFC Divisions. With the NFC in vogue tonight, let's get the Game Information you need to know:

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
  • LAR Rams (4-9; 3rd in NFC West) at GB Packers (5-8; 3rd in NFC North)
  • FAVORED: GB (-7.5)
  • OVER/UNDER: 39.5 points

Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching/following!

I got a LOT to discuss here in this post, so get ready...

By virtue of their fail last night, the Los Angeles Rams have not only been eliminated from the postseason, but they also have the most losses by a defending champion in NFL history. The Rams lost 24-12 at the Green Bay Packers last night.

There was speculation earlier in the season as to whether the Rams or the Cincinnati Bengals were more likely to return to the Super Bowl. The Rams and Bengals did play each other this season, but in the Preseason (CIN won 16-7 in that Preseason game). Cincy is looking much better than the L.A. Rams at this point.

Don't worry, Rams... it's okay to fail. Just look at my 2022 Texans.

Let's update the NFL Postseason list. Who's IN!? Let's find out (changes in italics):

--- WHO'S IN! - PLAYOFF PICTURE ---
...AFC EAST Champions...
Kansas City (AFC West Champions)
...AFC NORTH Champions...
...AFC SOUTH Champions...
...AFC Wild Card 1...
...AFC Wild Card 2...
...AFC Wild Card 3...
Buffalo (Clinched Playoff Berth)
...NFC EAST Champions...
San Francisco (NFC West Champions)
Minnesota (NFC North Champions)
...NFC SOUTH Champions...
...NFC Wild Card 1...
...NFC Wild Card 2...
...NFC Wild Card 3...
Philadelphia (clinched Playoff Berth)
Dallas (clinched Playoff Berth)

A lot of the NFC side of the Playoffs is filling out rather fast.

Are you ready for some Christmas weekend NFL football? Well, here are some of the many matches to be played this week:

  • JAX Jaguars at NYJ Jets (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • BUF Bills at CHI Bears
  • HOU Texans at TEN Titans
  • CIN Bengals at NE Patriots
  • TB Buccaneers at ARI Cardinals (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • LAC Chargers at IND Colts (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

As far as the 2023 NFL Draft is concerned, it is more than likely the Houston Texans will get the first overall draft pick unless they somehow win their remaining games while other early draft teams lose. The Texans sit at 1-12-1; and even if they somehow won their remaining three games, the best they can finish is 4-12-1. This would be the fourth time in team history the Texans secure a No. 1 Draft Pick. The team ranked 2nd in the Draft rankings is the Chicago Bears at 3-11. Denver, Arizona, and the Los Angeles Rams are each 4-10.

A lot to discuss, but I discussed it all. Enjoy this week's games!

Jags and Jets tonight, so get ready for Thursday Night Football on this Christmas weekend. Enjoy tonight's game!

[OMISSION] I may be wrong, but if the Jets lose tonight, the Cincinnati Bengals will clinch a Playoff spot.

Bengals clinch a playoff spot after the Jets woeful performance last night, losing to a more prepared Jacksonville, 19-3. In my eyes, the game was sealed on the Jets 3rd play of their first drive. The defense managed to get a strip sack fumble deep in Jacksonville territory but Zach Wilson completed missed a blitzing CB and was sacked for a loss. He didn't even look in the direction of the player who was untouched. The Jets had to settle for a FG and that was all they scored for the game. Wilson might go down in history along among colossal busts like Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell.

I wanted the Jets to draft Justin Fields so bad but the GM fell in love the Mormon Mahomes mistake #1 then they had him the starting job mistake #2 . TBH I want them to throw the bag at Lamar Jackson get Garrett Wilson to recruit him. Don't get me wrong I like Mike White but they have to go all out to fix the QB. It makes absolutely no sense that you bring a guy off the practice squad before the game starts and the offense looks better with him than the guy who started. I have been a Jets fans since the early 80s and I have seen a lot of bad QB play heck it is the one thing I'm expert at in football and he is as bad as Christian Hackenburg and Browning Nagle but they weren't 1st Rd picks so he is probably the worst based on his draft status

Hackenburg was a project that the Jets decided to just abandon. Wilson doesn't look like he wants to learn at all. Last week he showed some hope, but a lot of the passes were due to the WR running back to grab the ball. This week? It was ugly. Mims and Moore have already been ticked off by his inability to throw the ball to them. The Jets could probably do better if they had literally anyone else who was willing to either learn or adapt to the system. Wilson either can't (due to a learning problem) or won't (because he doesn't think he has to).

Zach Wilson to me seems more interested in making off balance splash plays than completing a dump off to the running back or a crossing pattern to a wr

Merry Christmas... Eve! There is a lot of NFL action to come today and tonight even with the brutally-cold weather about. Playoff positioning and such are a big part of this weekend's action. No matter what action you are into this weekend, enjoy today's games!

Texans lose again... PSYCH! Texans triumph! The Houston Texans snapped their 9-game losing streak by winning 19-14 at the Tennessee Titans. The game was delayed by an hour due to energy conserving concerns in Nashville. They still mostly have inside track on the 1st Overall Draft pick, but at least winning feels good. Texans FINALLY win again!

Up next for the Houston Texans: back home for the final home game of the season. We play Jacksonville in Houston on New Year's Day.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week! Finally we are among the WINNING teams in a week for a change!

I was visiting family for Christmas Eve so I actually watched a Vikings game for a change. I have no clue how there isn't a massive spike in stress induced medical problems in Minnesota right now. :scared:

It pales in comparison to the ones suffered in NY, tbh.
