Man, I really should've checked the weather forecast, had I knew about the rain and them doing that; I would've went to the Porsche car show going on this morning.

There were active slow zones and track repairs going on when the rain shower hit and multiple cars crashed at once. Instead of trying to run with slow zone and monsoon zones they went safety car.

I think just a slow zone would've been fine in that case. Wonder if the wets everyone swapped to will be useless if it dries up enough by the time we're out. A waste since they were ready to race in those conditions.

What track section is being repaired?

Most are already back on slicks.

Also, 4 hours in we have 5 retirements, which isn't unusual.

What's the rationale for having 3 pace cars if they're all going to merge under one pace car? Seems like they could speed this along if they just gather the whole field all at once.

For adopting the "American" caution procedure they certainly don't seem to have paid attention to exactly how it's done here. At least it gives me time to do other stuff without missing anything.

They should never have gotten rid of having 3 safety cars. They just want to bunch up the field as much as possible until the end for show. This way 20 hours or so of the race are just about not losing a lap instead of racing, and pitting every time the SC comes out, because you'll be able to catch up anyway.

Disagree, I hated close battles in class getting broken up because they got split by different pace cars.

They were repairing the armco after the #22 punted the #77 into the wall. There might have been some armco damage that needed repair after the cars all went flying off in the downpour, that Porsche pushed it back some.

JOTA is on a tear, up to 1st in LMDh and 1st overall.

#36 Alpine has spun off on the exit of the second Mulsanne chicane. It was pretty low speed. Race is still green so I assume local yellow, or the car was able to get back on track and keep going?

E: Red Cadillac has spun out. 3 minute stop and go issued to #22 for causing a collision.

I know there hasn't been much green flag racing yet, but I really do like the variety we've seen up front. Seems everyone but the Glickenhaus and Vanwall have spent some time near or at the top.

Really makes you wish for a second feed focusing on the other classes though.

Check YouYube, some teams stream live onboard footage.
