heavy rain. Boom, the fun starts again.
wets are being prepared. Some cars which just pitted are screwed as usual.

I can't imagine being a drive and having to stare super bright flashing red lights the entire way around the track. I get why they exist, but holy hell they're distracting.

Toyota got 37 kg added in BoP changes, that can be the reason for the pace. Ferrari got 25 kg added as well though.
To me it seems Toyota can only win this on experience, strategy or reliability. Frankly, I can't see them beating Ferrari or Porsche on pure pace. Ferrari easily is the faster car on the straights, and you can visually see the Toyota struggling to follow the Porsche in the curves.

Ferrari 51 is in the lead still on slicks, not having pitted (probably mistaken?). Hoping for a safety car, but nothing yet...

Slow zone is clear, I don't think a safety car is coming!

I just realized MotorTrend+ is included in YouTube TV, so if you've got that you can just sign in and watch/record the race.

They also have a 14 day free trial (sign up here with my referral code) so it could be a good option for those of you here in the US.
Even better with MotorTrend+ you can get the EuroSport feed and French feed along with onboards from 16 of the cars. I've been watching the NASCAR just because the entire concept is ridiculous and I love watching it.

That has to be a mistake, no way he could drive in those conditions on slicks

Does anybody know why the #56 NASCAR is so far behind the GTE cars? Its on #40 place or so. It was extremely fast in practice, does it have to pit so often? Or was there damage?

"Toyota received the biggest hit under the BoP with a 36kg increase in minimum weight for its GR010 HYBRID LMH, which won the opening three rounds of the 2023 WEC.

The Ferrari 499P LMH will run 24kg heavier than previously, while the Cadillac V-Series.R and Porsche 963 LMDhs have received 11kg and 3kg respectively."
This could be the reason for the Toyota's struggle?

How can the drivers see anything? Just saw onboard from the Cadillac, and the wiper does absolutely nothing.
I thought the same thing but the onboard camera is slightly offset from the wiper and looking at the corner of the windscreen, you can see a little more closer to the wiper, enough to make out the track.

I do like that Peugeot as it’s the most car looking of the hypercars. However, I’ve picked the #6, as it’s my birthday number. I don’t care what car wins because the racing over every class has been unpredictable.

Gotta say, that Jota car seem like they picked people off the street to drive. Too many mistakes and it’s not even half race distance.
