I'm straight up having a good time. I know the Titans are bad, but I still enjoyed the hell out of the way we played today, especially on special teams.

Let me touch up on other scores from today so far...

* As mentioned by Blitz24 and kjb, the New York Jets fell again this season, 25-22 at the New England Patriots. Both teams are now 2-6.

* Omnis' Miami Dolphins held down the visiting Arizona Cardinals... until Arizona banged a game-winning field goal with time expiring. Miami sings the blues on their 28-27 fail.

* Joey D's Detroit Lions had no problem whacking the visiting Tennessee Titans 52-14. The Lions are now 6-1 on the year, while the Titans are now 1-6.

* Green Bay sank the Houston Texans at home last week on a game-winning field goal. They won at the Jacksonville Jaguars in the same fashion. The Packers secured a 30-27 victory off of the leg of Brandon McManus.

* Cleveland ain't never scared of no Ravens! The Browns stunned the Baltimore Ravens 29-24 in Cleveland. It's a big win for the Brownies. Cleveland goes to 2-6, and the Ravens fall to 5-3. The Ravens were one of four teams who came into this week with a four-way tie in the AFC standings with a 5-2 record.

* One of the other 5-2 teams playing was the Buffalo Bills. In their trip to the Emerald City, the Buffalo Bills sparkled like diamonds with a convincing 31-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

* Super Bowl LIX will be in New Orleans. The way this season has been going for the New Orleans Saints, the Who Dat? Nation may not get to enjoy their team make the Playoffs. Well, things got worse for the Saints after getting pounded last time at home against Denver. The final was 26-8 in favor of the Los Angeles Chargers.

* From Who Dat? to Who Dey?, Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals hosted the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles flew out of Cincinnati with a 37-17 victory. The Bengals fell to 3-5 overall and have an 0-4 record at home.

* Despite late game magic, the Las Vegas Raiders couldn't upset the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City leaves Las Vegas with a 27-20 win and improve to 7-0.

* Denver was none too kind to the Carolina Panthers. The Broncos won 28-14 at home. Carolina is now 1-7 on the season.

* Tampa Bay held an NFC South showdown as the Dirty Birds from the ATL flew into Tampa Bay. The Atlanta Falcons won 31-26.

* Just wrapping up at the time of this post, the Chicago Bears played at the Washington Commanders, and the game ended 18-15 in favor of the Washington Commanders.

Before I end this post, I wanted to make a point about that Vikings at Rams game from Thursday Night Football. It's absolutely asinine how a flag wasn't thrown after that one Rams player got all kinds of facemask on the Vikings QB. It ended up being a Safety that extended the Rams' lead, and ultimately became a 30-20 victory for LAR. It's probably one of the biggest officiating fails in NFL history. It was almost as bad as the "Fail Mary" game with the replacement referees.

Coming up... DAL Cowboys at SF 49ers. And tomorrow, it's NYG Giants at PIT Steelers.

So I'm in this King of the Mtn. pool with a prize of $200,000. After the Ravens fell the remaining picks went from 20 to 15 (started with 2,300 picks). I lost one of my picks sadly. The Ravens had no business losing to the Brownies today, how many dropped INTs were there with one in the end zone? And that drop for 40 yards where the ball bounced off his helmet - I can only chalk it up to divine intervention

Its probably stating the obvious but the Panthers problems are a lot more than just the QB play. At least there's a fun story in their undrafted WR Jalen Croker, who seems to be a legit talent.

It was 30-24 in Santa Clara, California as the San Francisco 49ers took down the Dallas Cowboys. The Niners are now 4-4, and the Cowboys fall to 3-4. This is only Dallas' first Away loss of the season.

Like the Jets they organizational issues that flow down from the top

Oh... my... goodness... before I hype up tonight's Monday Night Football match, some say the Hail Mary pass that helped the Washington Commanders defeat the Chicago Bears at home could be "Play of the Year." If you get to see it, savor the awesomeness of that play. Now to Monday Night Football...

Giants at Steelers TONIGHT!

This Monday Night Football match in Pittsburgh plays host to a GTPlanet inner-forum rivalry. It will be Jump_Ace's Giants against Fezzik's Steelers.

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
The New York Giants will try to "Steel" a win in the Steel City at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • NYG Giants (2-5, 4th in NFC East) at PIT Steelers (5-2, in AFC North)
  • FAVORED: PIT (-6)
  • OVER/UNDER: 36.5 points

The rest of the AFC North would want to see the Giants do them a favor by defeating the Steelers tonight. We'll see if it happens, though.

Enjoy tonight's game!

My feelings seeing the Steelers heavily favoured for tonight's game

Its A Trap GIF

If the Steelers are playing at home yes it's a trap otherwise they should win easily as the Giants have to be one of the worst homes teams in the NFL

The winner of last night's Giants at Steelers game goes to... the Pittsburgh Steelers! The Steel City boys won 26-18 over the New York Giants.

Let us welcome Week 9 of the National Football League. To get you set for what Week 9 has to offer, let me talk about some of the many matches coming up...

* Happy Halloween! Tricks and treats are abound when the New York Jets host the Houston Texans for Thursday Night Football in the shadow of New York City. Things didn't go so well for the Texans the last time they visited MetLife Stadium. How will this one go when the Texans get ready for a stretch of three straight Prime Time games? It is my Texans against Blitz24 and kjb's Jets.

* The Dallas Cowboys go out to the ATL to play against them Dirty Birds. The Atlanta Falcons hope to further compound and confound the Cowboys' 2024 season.

* Omnis' Miami Dolphins will go well north to take on the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, New York in an AFC East showdown.

* The Las Vegas Raiders are going all in and all out when they head to the Midwest to entertain Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals.

* The "Maryland Miracle" is still blowing peoples' minds when the Washington Commanders stunned the Chicago Bears last week. Now, the balling Commanders will head up to East Rutherford, NJ to take on Jump_Ace's New York Giants in an NFC East tilt.

* The Carolina Panthers think dey gon' beat dem' Saints. Well, time to see if they will once the New Orleans Saints come to Charlotte for an NFC South showdown.

* The Denver Broncos will venture out to Baltimore to take on those ravenous Baltimore Ravens.

* The Chicago Bears hated to lose on the "Maryland Miracle." It's on to the next one for the boys from Chi-Town, as they will head out west now to meet the Arizona Cardinals.

* I don't know if you know this, but the NFC North has been pretty sublime this season. Enjoying the view from up top on the NFC North standings, Joey D's Detroit Lions will hit the Frozen Tundra to take on the Green Bay Packers. Rival states clash as the Lions try to remain hot.

* Sunday Night Football this week is an all-Midwestern affair. After the Colts came up short trying to take down the Texans in Houston, the Colts now must deal with the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis.

* Monday Night Football will come to you from Arrowhead Pond as the Kansas City Chiefs try to stay undefeated. Will the Tampa Bay Buccaneers be the ones to finally best the 2024 Kansas City Chiefs?

** BYE WEEK: Pittsburgh, San Francisco

So there you have it. These are some of the many games coming up this week.

Now for a little commentary.

The Houston Texans won 23-20 against the Indianapolis Colts in Houston yesterday. The media outlets, though, have been chewing out the Colts' QB, Anthony Richardson. He claimed to be overly tired as the Texans' defense was stifling the Colts. You want your teams to be beasts on defense, but I think I remember either Donovan McNabb or Terrell Owens still making plays while not at 100% or tired... in the Super Bowl no less! Joe Flacco had to back up for Anthony Richardson during the IND at HOU game. Texans got to keep up the defensive pressure. They also need a little better offensive execution. Otherwise, me happy boy about my Texans now at 6-2 on the 2024 NFL season.

The real story here, though, is that Indianapolis Colts fans are understandably upset that Anthony Richardson walked out on his team in a key situation. I was watching videos on YouTube with people dumping on A. Richardson- First Take, Get Up, The Richard Sherman Podcast, Locked on Colts, The Rich Eisen Show, I think also Up and Adams... all hating on Anthony Richardson for briefly quitting on his team. On the other hand, you do have to appreciate him being honest about leaving for a breather with the infamous helmet tapping. Since he "tapped out," Anthony Richardson made himself look very bad with this performance. Worse than that was him going 2 for 15 on pass attempts in the first half, and I think he ultimately went 10 for 32 passing in the IND at HOU game. The Texans mostly made him look like an OVR well south of 50 (to use sports gaming speak).

Get ready for Week 9! Enjoy this week's games!

6-2
Tied for 2nd best record in the conference

If you've watched the Steelers play you'll know this is not a true reflection of the team so far but we'll absolutely take it.

Here are a few notes to pass along...

Anthony Richardson has been benched for this weekend in favor of Joe Flacco. Flacco performed better for the Colts than almost anything Anthony Richardson did recently with the Colts at the Texans. Walking out for one play and "tapping out" isn't going to win you many fans or make you appealing in free agency.

Sadly for the Houston Texans, Stefon Diggs is out for the season with a torn ACL. The Texans still find ways to win (somehow) even without the full suite of solid players. Diggs can be a free agent next year. I'd have to wonder how the Texans will deal with Diggs during this offseason.

I mentioned the Lions were atop the NFC North standings. Actually, they are also atop the NFC standings overall. They have the best record in the NFC at 6-1. MoTown ballin'.

Oof, that's rough. It was a non-contact injury. He just made a cut and down he went.

Here's a fun fact when speaking of injured wide receivers: the Bengals are 0-4 when Higgins hasn't played. Fun fact #2 not wide receiver related: the Bengals are 0-4 at home.

Carolina continues to give players away. They traded Diontae Johnson & a 6th rd pick to the Ravens for a 5th rd pick and they are picking up the remainder of his salary. It seems like Dan Morgan has taken the lessons he learned from Scott Fretter to heart and he is actively applying them. 😮🤯😲 I thought it would be different with Morgan but it still looks the same. There’s rumors making their rounds that the Panthers HC doesn’t like Bryce Young which I can believe. Dave Canales was supposed to be a QB whisperer who could “fix” Young but it seems like he can only fix journeymen QBs. Anyway the 2 franchises that I watch the most are some of the most terrible franchises in all of sports. I think I’m a glutton for punishment 😁😁😁

The Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills, and Pittsburgh Steelers all are 6-2 heading into this week. Kansas City, though, has the best record in the AFC at 7-0. The Texans won the head-to-head match against the Bills. The Texans don't play the Steelers in the regular season, though they did meet in the Preseason. The Steelers don't play the Bills in the regular season, though they did meet in the Preseason. The Texans would have the edge over the Bills if we were doing head-to-head. Bills and Steelers are tough. My Texans still have some stuff to clean up, but we're still pretty good. Some people here, though, want Bobby Slowik (Texans' offensive coordinator) to be fired.

The Pittsburgh Steelers haven't yet played an AFC North game yet. That changes starting November 17 when they host the Baltimore Ravens. Here is the rest of their Divisional schedule. They will play at the Cleveland Browns, at the Cincinnati Bengals, and then back home to host Cleveland. After playing at the Philadelphia Eagles, it will be Pittsburgh at Baltimore. They finish the regular season hosting the Cincinnati Bengals.

Houston, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo all have to play the Kansas City Chiefs this season. Kansas City is at Buffalo Bills on November 17, home against the the Houston Texans on December 21, and at the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 25.

It will be interesting to see how these current 6-2 teams in the AFC do moving forward. Also interesting to see how they will do against the fearsome Kansas City Chiefs.

15 spots. That's how many spots the Panthers have apparently moved up in the draft by getting that 5th round pick for Diontae Johnson. Yeah, he's a free agent at the end of year and yeah, there was no way in hell he was going to re-sign with them but my god what a disaster.

Think there is a serious argument to be made that the entire Panthers organization should just be folded.
