Oh no! Yard Sale thinks I'm stupid! My whole life is a waste! Quick, let me devote my time to learning how to post to please him!
Definitely no overinflated sense of self-importance.
Nobody said such a thing. But your free to draw your own conclusions
The issue is not getting the majority. It's how many of her Republican supporters he's going to lose & how much of an impact that will be.
Haley Primary Voters Break for Biden over Trump in General Election A new Emerson College…Full Release & Results

In exiting the race Wednesday morning, Haley issued a broad call for Republicans to rediscover what the party has previously stood for.

Among that, Haley did not also give Trump a glowing response in her bow out & reportedly did not endorse him. She said he has to earn her supporters' votes & judging by both candidates' first comments on her leaving the race, Trump hasn't done himself much favor with them.
I agree with all of that. I just think that in the end, the Republican voters that make up her constituency, will end up pulling the lever for Trump.
Hailey will endorse Trump. Give it time.
When you (not ‘you’ specifically…but for whatever reason, I feel like this thread’s constituency requires the distinction of such) take off the partisan glasses, and peer through the lens of an undecided/moderate voter, the most basic question will be wether their life was better four years ago. When voting with their wallets like a lot of people do, I think the answer will be “yes”. Whether or not that will be enough for them to vote Trump is to be seen.
It should be noted that even though the cable news networks as well as the Biden campaign, will label this election cycle as a “threat to democracy” and this will be a cornerstone theme for the next 8 months, I’m not quite sure the moderate/undecided voter is going to see it that way, or be willing to put that ahead of their own personal interests. For that matter, I think there’s a palatable portion of Democrats who don’t necessarily see this election as a “threat to democracy” either.
Then there’s the polling by demographics metrics (which I’m not entirely convinced of). Shows 50% of Latinos are Pro-Trump, significantly more Suburban women than his last bid, and I think the Black polling numbers are close to 25% or something like that. And if he names Scott as his running mate, that number (whatever it actually is) will only increase amongst both the Black and Hispanic voters.
The economy is in need of a healthy dose of Albuterol, and liberal cities that were once very insulated from the decades-old southern border problem, are now VERY aware of it and not happy.
Of course Biden was right with the Republicans playing politics with the failed border bill (although there was some pretty egregious intricacies of that bill - having to do with the “daily allowance” of illegal aliens allowed through per day before it was deemed a “crisis”…or whatever the exact language was). But Biden doesn’t need a bipartisan bill, and he knows that. (You also need more than 100 new judges to process 15 million illegals in a timely matter too…ffs Democrats). He also didn’t need 3 years to try to get anything done either. He could still just declare a state of emergency and “executive order” policy through like Trump did; but it goes without saying that doing something like that runs the very real risk of losing some of the support from young-ish progressive voters, to the point where they don’t show up come Election Day. Biden knows this too.
Reproductive rights. Meh, that’ll play decently….but he already has those voters.
Climate policy? I don’t think that’s a forefront issue for most undecideds. And the voters in which Climate Policy is a big issue, he already has them.
Edit:
Oh yeah, Trump hasn’t technically been “convicted” of anything yet. So the point that that article was trying to make on 79% of Hailey voters saying he would be “unfit” for office is moot, for now. Not to mention, “unfit” for office and “unwilling to vote for” are 2 separate distinctions that might, or might not be realized come November
