After months of rumours, it seems that Alpine has indeed chosen to replace Doohan. Not with Colapinto, but with a dog.
Or maybe I'm reading too much into this thumbnail 😂

McLaren lock up Piastri until at least 2028

Second extension already to his original rookie deal - other teams must have been sniffing around. Hopefully the Papaya Rules have him and Lando as joint-leaders.

Things I did not expect to see today:

Lewis on Tiktok.
Lewis CGI’d into Ferris Bueller.

I’m loving his Ferrari era already.

Harsh after just two rounds, especially from the same team that kept hold of Perez way past his sell by date. (Mexican telecommunications) money talks.

Considering Liam was yet another Helmut Marko Decision, can't say it shocks me. Nick De Vries was clearly not a big enough lesson.

Just to follow on from the reports that Tsunoda may replace Lawson from Japan, there are now reports that RB are negotiating with Williams and Alpine to take Colapinto, this would mean Lawson ends up with no seat at all.
So Red Bull wants to up their repair bill?

This would actually be such a tragedy, and extremely embarrassing for every party involved. Imagine if Yuki also falls at the first hurdle, then what? Hard to remember the team that just consistently showed up and won everything for 3 years straight.

They are getting talented young drivers, Redbull just makes a car that’s only drivable by Max Verstappen. All these drivers they’ve thrown at the seat can’t be this horrible. Gasly and Albon stayed on the grid after bad stints with the team.

Yuki could fail as well, but not like he has anything to lose. Redbull wasn’t promoting him and he’s been at the second team for years.

Ironically if the Rumors of RB courting Colapinto are true and this whole exchange happens, Red Bull may have unintentionally saved Jack Doohan's career (A sentence AND scenario I didn't think would be possible but we live in a world of chaos at the moment so..).

What makes it worse is how little time these guys even get. Lawson, just by being an on-call substitute, has gotten more seat In F1 then most of the Red Bull Juniors and it STILL wasn't enough time. Yuki is by far the most experienced but gets passed for..some reason. And what if Hadjar ends up plummeting? The next nearest guy they have isn't even old enough. And then what?

They just keep making these decisions that just gradually make the crater bigger and now that the competition HAS caught up, its making them look even worse. Its only been 2 races but at this point, 2025 feels like its gonna be the biggest slap to Red Bull's face. They've have a faulty car that was mostly masked by how quick it was and how Max just simply drove over the issues but the moment Mclaren figured it out last year, its exposed them and so far it looks like even Max despite finishing in the points will not be enough.
