The DJR livery was one of the 3 I had down as "not worth looking up", the other 2 being Red Bull and Cam's Mustang. Glad to be wrong, the DJRs look great, although yes, a little WAUy.

I'm still not completely sold on this new DJR look, but I'm also not sure it's worse than previous ones. I guess I'll just have to wait to see it on track with other cars to see if it just blends in with the rest from different angles, or is easy to pick out in a crowd like other DJR liveries have been .

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I like the fact they have changed, but I would've like to have seen maybe a yellow scheme or maybe a scheme like Newgarden's Indy 500 car or Logano's car for the Daytona 500. Maybe they might do it for Bathurst.

Triple 8 livery. Not too sold on the white A pillars but its okay, I suppose.

And Erebus. Murray's looks to be more or less the scheme they ran at Bathurst? Both are good. A massive improvement over what the cars looked like this time last year anyway. Altho anything would be. lol

The T8 livery just looks a bit messy, as usual. Like those amateur liveries you see in GT7 where someone's just plastered random logos over the car. I don't not like the Erebus liveries, but they're nothing to get excited about. I do wish that teams would keep the same design cues for each car when they have different sponsors, just so there was a bit more of a team identity.

The mid 2000s feature so many more interesting designs. Feels like there was more freedom to the design, so we had more themed graphics, rather than generic colour blocks with outlines like we see now. The HRT helmet and Lion, the FPR Falcon, the Kmart Helmet.

Teams actually had a brand that fans couple easily spot and connect to.

I feel the sedans were such a good canvas. Even though the Mustang and Camaro have less window area the livery designers are still trying to make the angled sedan livery style fit the coupes. The coupes need a whole new look, not just cut & paste the same style.

I think it’s the Courtney livery that seems the most different from all the other cars on the grid.

Oh wow. Just as I finished typing to look up the Snowy River livery, I see this:

I don’t watch the races, but it would be cool to run those liveries most of the time.

I really want to get excited for this year's championship, but it's been an absolute snooze fest (aside from qualifying) ever since a) they introduced qualifying for every race and did away with round winners, and b) everyone became obsessed with parity.

It's been demonstrated in many racing series around the world that parity destroys competition. Sadly, I feel it will lead to the eventual demise of Supercars.

The Bathurst 12 hour is proving year on year how much more interesting GT3 racing has become.

Yeah, i just hope the Finals series doesn't have the effect like Nascar's playoffs has and give the championship to the wrong driver. I do believe the tyre will be better. I also believe there will be more competition with DJR taking the fight.
