THE 2! THE 2! THE 2 IS ON FIRE!!!

We don't need no water mister!
:dopey:

I meant a Merc as a separate entry.

And Merc's fear of LeMans doesn't just steam from the flips in 1999. It's EVERY TIME they've gone to LeMans something catastrophic happens. The Sauber C9 also experienced a flip near the same hump that the CLR did. And then WAY back in 1955, the original SL 300 was cut off by a Jaguar diving into the pits and ended up catching air off the back of the Jag, then a hump of dirty and several pieces of the car landed in the grand stands, killing several people. The body of that Merc essentially turned into Thermite and burned to the ground so hot, no one could get near it to save the driver, who also perished in the crash.

Understandably, they fear Le Sarthe. However, I don't think the CLK-GTR experienced any problems at LeMans.

Whoops.. Sorry I misunderstood it :embarrassed: Yeah indeed they have no luck at all. But they will never come back anyway.

And the Peugeot on fire!! Audi in the lead :(

EDIT: Sheesh catastrophic! Now the Vette is out! This is terrible... Absolutely terrible...

Oh, man... Audi may be just 7:53:00 and change from getting revenge over the Peugeots. Also, tough to see the #63 Corvette suffer terminal engine damage. Drama at Le Mans! You know it's going to happen, but not WHEN. One word- WOW!!!

Another case of Avatar Jinxing.;)

Sounds like one of the Corvette's has leaked oil onto the track somewhere.

No, I think it's the Peugeot that leaked the fluid onto the track.

Hold on... Peugeot has 2 left.... car 1 (the defending champs) and car 4 (the Oreca)... also the 64 is in the lead... while 63.. Head of Corvette Racing said the motor self-destructed.... Less than 8 hours to go and listen to me... this race is really beginning. 39 in wall at Arange.... Oh he went straight in! :( Ahhh that didn't look good! ---

Wow, just wow Just when I thought its Peugeot's race. Looks like the race has truly come back to Audi.

As long as Audi can continue to run problem free then its there race to lose. the Audi is only about 2 seconds slower a lap and with 3:30+ a lap they should be able to get through to the end just before the Puegot catches them. Though they will need to push the rest of the race and have zero problems if my math is correct.

Expect the unexpected, still more things can happen. This is just awesome. And car #39 just crashed!

Something is flapping on the side of the #1 Peugeot. Hopefully i's not serious.

#1 Pug looks like it has a panel flapping on the left side.

They could as a privateer like the Lamborghini, any who enters a Merc would have ZERO backing from Mercedes.

On Another note: Can't wait to see the 458-R next year.

Well yes indeed they can... But unfortunately the SLS is a GT3 spec car though. I have no idea what other Mercedes is made in GT2 Spec.

EDIT: It was a blown turbo that failed the Peugeot. Shame... :( I just can't imagine what is going through Montagny's mind. He's very upset..

EDIT: The weather will stay fine as it's a bit cloudy there. Temperature is around 18°C and humidity at 78%.
