This has been a classic for the wrong reasons in some cases...

how can you say that it was clearly the ferrari's fault. he should have seen the audi's lights.

Similar case with the previous crash. He couldn't see him with his limited peripheral vision and therefore it was another racing incident.

My best wishes to Rocky. Seriously, F:censored: Ferrari. I'm tired of this stupid GT drivers blocking LMP cars, driving as they were the only ones in the road. Come on, look at those massive Audi headlights, You can't say you didn't saw it coming now :grumpy::grumpy:grumpy:.

Blocking?

I don't think you quite know just how massive the speed difference has gotten between the LMP and GT cars over the last few years. These things are just bound to happen. For all we know the Ferrari driver thought the Audi was still a bit behind but apparently the Audi caught up quicker then he anticipated.

You're sounding a bit like Dumas' opinions on the GTE-AM class which were to be completely honest were a bit daft.

race incident for sure. he's racing aswell. taking a corner with a car with way less downforce.

Troll somewhere else you Audi-lover.

It was again the fault of the overambitious LMP1 driver who thought that the track belongs to him and touched the beautiful Ferrari with his ugly Audi.

btw: I don`t give a crap about the race results, I only hope that Rockenfeller is fine!

edit: On the audi livestream they said he is unharmed?

Not to mention its pitch black dark, and the track has several bumps and dips that might throw a driver in front of an approaching car off slightly and assume the behind car is further than it is.

You are supposed to hold your line and allow them to find a way past in places like that, it was not blocking. Not to mention how bright the Audi's lights are.

Ok so maybe it wasn't the ferrari's 'fault' per say. But I don't believe it was the audi's like the other guy was saying.

in some sense it was. if your the faster car you have the responsibility to make the pass safe.
the lights of the audi have gt drivers complained about because it lights up the whole car so i doubt that the ferrari man would risk his life and cut the corner.

race incident.

Horrible.

But check the replay... Rocky clipped the grass, no contact with the Ferrari.

Except the car number 2 Audi is a bit unlucky today so far. I personally want Peugeot to win the race so I'm happy with that.:)
In the live timing which is the Lucas Ordonez Nissan? the Zytek or the Oreca?

I hear that it was the Ferrari Micheal Waltrip drove earlier. Before anyone goes off, Micheal was not driving it. It was Rob Kaufman.

Agree, the blue flags here aren't the same as F1, they are advisory 'theres a faster car coming behind, be careful' etc, its up to the faster driver to find a safe way past

anyone has the video from acident?????

Camera angles are a bit hard to find at the moment but there is a locked camera which gives a pretty decent one. There should be a video of that up soon.

Signatech I think it is.

Eurosport saying Audi could withdraw? What are they thinking?? Surely they wouldn't give up that easily...
