If I remember from previous events like this, over half the grid need to want it changed. As you all know, having it on another day/later on Sunday's benefits me.

I got a really bad start, I wasn't quick enough in switching to gear 1 and so I was overtaken by LewyOs and someone else

Not sure if you have seen previous videos posted here along with a few comments but 1st and 2nd gears in F1CE just don't give you enough acceleration.

Enter Turn 7 in 4th and hit 5th as you are exiting and begin your run to the chicane. As a personal preference, I hit 6th, but could probably get by riding the limiter in 5th on the run up, then change down to 4th for the entry and again hit 5th during the exit. I stay wide on the 'grasscrete' and hold 5th to enter Turns 10 and 11, but it requires gentle throttle or you'll find the car wanting to be in 4th as you exit 11.

Hit 6th gear as you enter Turn 12 and feather the blind entry to 13, going back to full throttle if you get it right. Again, as a preference, I ride the limiter in 6th before braking into 4th for Turn 14. Hit 5th just for a moment, then drop back to 4th for a very late apex at Turn 15. Again, hit 5th on the way up the hill and point the car directly at the armco. Late braking to 4th again for the final turn before the main straight, and hit 5th as you exit.

Good race guyz . I started out good but kinda got messed up by my cat .loooooool he was laying beside the screen door sleeping and my dog outside decided he wanted to play and ran into the door and scared the cat who then jumped up and took off across the room right through my cable for my wheel , it unpluged the power to the wheel and off into the grass i went , finally recovered from that and one of my girlfriends kept sending me text msg's and i couldn't reach the phone to turn it off . So not a good night for me looooooool . I bet the phone will be off and the cat locked in another room next week loooooll . Good job RACECAR nice little points lead now , but dont ease up because we got 3 more races and your gonna have to race me all the way untill the last lap of the last race . QUACK QUACK

I'd love to know why i've always been so slow at this track. I wouldn't dream of those lap times unless it was offline and I was in a tuned up fast car. There's obviously a correct way of driving it that I'm just not familiar with. Plus everyone describes it as fun, I think it's about as much fun as having someone drilling a hole into your eyeballs, I find it that frustrating. It's just about the only track where I find it almost impossible to find a rhythm, even featureless tracks like Bahrain with lots of long straights have a good rhythm. I must be driving it wrong. Has anyone got a good vid of one of the fast guys doing it on youtube?

I used to go up through the gears at the start, but Fishfash's way is MUCH quicker, by more than a second I reckon.

Anywho, I'm getting around the mid to low 1:33s as well, haven't yet broken into the 1:32s yet but I think I can with a bit more practice.
Hopefully, I will be at the front of the grid again and I would like to know who my main competition will be .

Had a practice session today (well 2 halves of 2 sessions...) one with Kak. Did a best of 1'32.877. That was a hot lap, I think mid-low 33s are more realistic times for me on race day. May have some time on Sunday to practice.

Damn that was quick lol. Unfortunately I couldn't finish that race with Sureboss because my phone rang (it always rings during a race lol).
By the looks of things it should be a close race on Sunday.

Your best lap time is about a second faster than mine then sureshot. Going 2 have 2 put in some practice i think.

That was a one off and about half a second quicker than my consistent laps. Only really two corners I feel I am poor at. Both are vital (last corner and the double left before the funny loop leading to the back straight) to quick laps.

I am very surprised with all the videos posted here and how to get the best lap at budapest post that nobody has picked this up. Well except for Shaggy.

Yeah, I've tried it and it works (4th gear and up). Kind of Lame IMO. Can't wait for the 09 F1 game.

Yep very lame, I tried to move off from stand still in 2nd gear in Race Pro and the car wouldn't even move.

Let's hope codies have this fixed for the next F1 game.

If you can find a torrent, I recommend Grand Prix Manager on PC if you fancy taking on some strategy but with an F1 theme.
They haven't made them for a while though, the one I'm currently playing is pretty old (GPM2 ,1996, have to run it in compatibility mode with 256 colours) but its still awesome.

Back in the days where Williams were dominant and I could steal technology from Sauber ho ho ho.
