No way! :guilty:

My best normal lap so far has been a 1:15.518 with no draft and my best pit lap is a 1:11.9xx.
If you're a second quicker than me after only 5 laps practice then I guess there isn't much chance of beating you on race day and with yours and possibly Shaggy's pit laps being quicker than mine then there isn't much chance for a fastest lap either :guilty:.
So if Fishfash wins (obviously) and I come second then Shaggy will have to finish in 7th, which in my opinion is VERY unlikely, this is not looking good for my Championship hopes whatsoever. :nervous:

Shouldn't be too disheartened, fishfash is outrageously fast at this track. He did a 1:08 in the dry during the hotlap series there, that's on a regular lap and without the Juncao glitch as far as I'm aware in a Renault. I suppose that doesn't help you much in view of the championship, though I think fishfash won't be nearly as consistent with the sixaxis as the wheel. That said he's pretty nailed on to get fastest lap, which obviously helps my cause 👍

I just got a 1,16,1 and was using the cheat.

What i want 2 know is if kakundoo or shaggys team mate was in front of them would they let there team mate through so they have a chance 2 win the championship.

Personally I would expect Appie to help me out by doing this, but only If I'm clearly quicker than him.

Ducks need to learn how to quote properly :sly:

The 1:14 and 1:10 was done with the G25, on race day I will be using the controller. I will be near the back of the grid, probably 4 seconds slower with the controller.

I will be keeping well out of way, and if by luck I get the fastest lap of the race I will leave the game. I do not want to interfere with the championship outcome 💡

First of all, Fastduck I never gave up, I just simply stated that it would be difficult for me to get that fast.
Secondly, I had no idea that those times were with the G25, don't scare me like that! lol.
Also, I just managed a 1:11.313 in an outlap, which isn't too bad and I have become a lot more consistent, being able to do a 15 lap race and getting low 1:16s with the occasional high 1:15 and no penalties. I did have a little spin, but I know how that happened so I'm pretty sure it won't happen again.

Shaggy, what are your times?

I'm honestly not saying this just because it happens to benefit me, but I don't think that's the right thing to do. Racing without the wheel and hence well below your capabilities puts enough of a false tint on the race results without you voluntarily relinquishing points for the sake of the guys fighting for the title. Kind of like telling Vettel not to overtake Hamilton last year.

Still, if you really are that much slower with the Sixaxis then Kak and I have nothing to worry about in regards of fastest lap.

Shaggy, what are your times?

I prefer to keep my cards close to my chest for this final race Kak! Though I will say that I think we're roughly on the same average pace.

I had a feeling you were trying to do that lol, it will be an interesting race, no doubt about that and I'm not saying this because it benefits me, but I think we should respect whatever Fishfash wants to do. I can see where he is coming from as he is not racing for the title and not only that I am sure using the controller gives him more of a race and a challenge rather than using the wheel and dominating the entire race.

I imagine slapping webbed feet onto a keyboard could be quite difficult. Even harder if you're typing using the DS3!

So no F1 2009 for PS3!! What are they thinking? Making us wait over a year now for F1 2010!
I don't know about everyone else, but if they're making me wait this long for the next game, it better be the best damn F1 game I have ever played, I expect at least 15-20x better than the current one otherwise Codemasters will be on my list of annoying, hated game companies alongside Ubisoft :grumpy:

Judging by the graphics shown on the Formula 1 site, well, I'm a bit nervous. Yes, I understand it is for wii consoles, but I don't own a wii. All I care about is HD graphics on my PS3 along with sound but most important, th egame play.

Yeah Wii graphics suck. It'd be cool if the steering with the Wiimote was accurate though. I'll def. rent it and give it a shot. :)

No no no, waiting in this case is good! I don't want Codemasters to do their usual rushed job, I want them to take the time to make a good game and include all the changes during the season. Screw having the game right now with bugs and crap in it and a horrible physics engine.

+1

You hit the nail on the head on that one Ardius 👍

Off all the consoles, why does the Wii get it first?

I thought this is quite obvious....lets see:
-Uses a gamecube engine.
-Previous generation graphics
-Lower quality expectations
-Barely any space for DLC/updates, etc
-Only capable of DVDs not Blu-ray or anything.
-Crappy online

Hence they don't need to spend much work on it and they obviously want to make money as soon as possible when we have headlines like RBR 1-2s and Brawn 1-2s lol.

Good point there Ardius.
I looked at the graphics for the Wii F1 game and they are absolutely terrible!
I would expect those graphics for an early PS2 game, but not a Wii. Obviously the PS3 version will be better, but I hope it's MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better.

The Wii is innovative, but it's not got the demands and/or capabilities of a next gen console.

It has the capabilites of a next gen console, just not for simulation games...different audience, different demands.

I just pointed out the Wii is just a Gamecube right? Its never surprising the graphics are barely past PS2 standards. But it doesnt matter, the Wii is a cheap console for families and people who aren't gamers.

Why people care about Nintendo's little money maker I don't know, who cares if they get it earlier? Its not like you are missing an essential experience there.

Anyway, finally updated the tables (sorry for the wait!).

If y'all are interested in reading the full transcript of the FIA ruling on the diffuser issue here is a link.

http://www.fia.com/en-GB/the-fia/court_appeal/judgments/Documents/ICA-14-04-2009-a.pdf

Here is an excerpt of the transcript that I thought was interesting:

57. At the hearing, Ferrari acknowledged that multiple vertical transitions had been used by many teams in the past, including Ferrari itself, and argued that all such prior uses (including its own) had constituted a technical violation of the TR which had been tolerated. However, it argued that where multiple transitions had been used at the front of the car, rather than the rear, this constituted only a minor breach which could have been easily remedied, had it been necessary to International Court of Appeal – Tuesday 14 April 2009 in Paris - 15 do so, without a significant detriment to performance. Ferrari contends that multiple vertical transitions at the rear of the car have not been seen before and constitute a more serious violation which should not be tolerated.

b) Findings of the Court

58. The Court concludes that the language used in Art. 3.12 TR does not explicitly restrict the number of vertical transitions to one. Several teams, including the Appellants have themselves used multiple vertical transitions in the past. Art. 3.12.4 TR refers to “vertical transitions” in the plural. Moreover, it appears that the idea that only one single transition must be used, if accepted, would mean that it would not be possible to have a transition on each of the two sides of the car.

It seem that Ferrari admits to breaking the rules (paragraph 57) in the past and the FIA agrees that they knew (paragraph 58) :odd: :D
