WOAH!! I just realised how much I have improved!
Me and my mate played F105 once and we did a few races and were often very even. Montreal was his best track and he was around half a second to a second quicker than me.
He only has the demo of F1CE at the moment and he told me he gets 1:14s, but when we did the race in Montreal this year, my best time had been 1:11.7 and that was pushing it!
But just a moment ago I did 3 laps practice and managed a 1:11.0xx really easily, and I had made a couple of mistakes!!

Some interesting developments for me. I was finally able to get close with 1'13.XXX but only on outlap while I was getting 1'16s using the little corner cut. Only problem I have is I still brake trying to avoid going into the grass, which is probably whats stopping me from going into the 1'13s regularly. Gonna go to my nascar League race now, but I'll be back with a practice room.

Yeah I am High 1:16s/ Low 1:17s with no corner cut, mid/low 16s with the cut. Seems a little risky/ not as fun. I just hope I don't get rear ended taking the corner properly.

25 years young here. Been playing racing games 'seriously' since GT2, then took a break in college, and have been back at it now for 3 years. Can't wait for F109.

Well, after a massive crunchtime-like 3 or so days of intense programming for my uni work trying to solve all kinds of errors and creating my AI.....I haven't had even a minute to spare to come here and post my views on the race on Sunday lol. So here it is a few days late.

First of all, bad qualifying lol, no practice before hand as I had joined for the hell of it at the last second as I needed a break from uni work. Also, this track never works well for me in this game ( because of the lack of practice and also because its at the end of the F1 season, which I don't tend to play a lot. It also never gets played online seemingly).
Anyway, bad qualifying, spun twice at Turn 1 which essentially described my whole race really, constant spins there and elsewhere because I don't like this track because I don't practice it enough.

But I wasn't here for a good race, I was here just for the fun of it and I made the most of my 18-odd laps of freedom from programming! Had a lot of fun trying to increase my pace and take the corners as fast as I dared, breaking down my best laptime into the 1'35s which is good enough considering. Had a brief moments of possibly catching kingmart1n, Sureshot or Appie ahead of me but eventually fell too far back (over half a lap!). Still had fun and had few incidents apart from T1, so happy anyway.

Perhaps for the final race I might get some practice in I shall see, my assignments are in this week (hence the crunch time lol) and my exams start next wednesday so I have a little bit of breathing space to try and have a proper race for the points. đź‘Ť

Also, because I have little time on my hands at the moment so I have no idea when I will update the tables, but I promise I will do them before Sunday at the very very least.

well, i ran several laps last night and i think i found the fastest way around is to stay on the wet black stuff, it seems to have more traction than the wet green stuff  i couldn't seem to put all my fast sectors together on one lap :ouch: for i'm sure i would have have a sub 1:15 as i ran contsistantly mid 1:15's with a fastest of 1:15.13x........twice :sly: with that said the only thing that has me worried is turn 1 lap 1 on race day :nervous::scared::lol:

Turn 1 worries me as well. With no vision of what's going on and it being so tight, I can almost guarantee that there will be a crash, and I don't even think that the pole sitter will escape it.

Or everyone could not try to win the race in the 1st corner like most races. Especially people that haven't practiced starts here. Cold tires + the wet = no grip. T1 and 2 are very slow under those conditions.

This game also hates me. Finally got a good line down, nail my best lap, and what does it give me? 16.000. Just couldn't let me break the 16s

Yeah, if no-one tried to win at the first corner, but some people who practice a little less will not know how the car will react that early on in the race.
I am just speculating here though, I am sure we are all capable of avoiding an incident, but I am almost 100% sure that there will be at least one accident and if it happens at the front then the whole field will be mixed up.
I think (obviously) the pole sitter has the advantage, but only as long as he can get round the first corner quicker than anyone else, otherwise someone will no doubt hit them accidentally.

How many races don't have an accident at the first corner in our races? Be it big or little? We got through cleanly at Monza iirc.

Good point actually, we got through fine at Monza, but then again, there was a terrible crash at Montreal and there have been quite a few races where at someone hits into someone else at the first corner.
I just gave the feeling that this will be another one where there will be 2-4+ cars crashing, especially as it is not very easy to avoid other cars when there isn't much space and you go in to a corner blind.

Hit the 1'16s today without the corner cutting(gave up trying to figure that out). Can't seem to get the Left Front warmed up like the rest of the car so it kills me in the sweeper after Turn 1.

I thik everyone will need to brake early and just try and realise in the heat of the moment that the race isn't won or lose at the first corner. Obviously don't brake ridiculously early, just everyone needs to take it slow and cautiously.

Imagine both me and you get taken out in the first corner Kak? That would produce a fairly dramatic race!

*Spills some oil in the first turn*

It certainly would, but i think i've had quite enough of making my way through the field in Suzuka, Montreal, Istanbul, Hungary, Bahrain and Imola (Just to name a few).

I think in this race i'd rather be the person out in front, a quiet race would suit me fine .
But that's wishful thinking, I guarantee that no-one is going to have an easy race and what I think will be interesting is IF some people come round to lap, then because of the spray, it might cost someone a little time, but then again they might be able to get a good slip stream and a fast lap.
There a lot of variables to think about in this race, too many to even know if you'll finish well or not, whereas usually you kind of know where abouts you will finish.

Come on everyone, stamp on the brakes 20 metres early! ;)

As far as F1CE I got the game late September of last year for the Bruce Mclaren Memorial Championship (http://pages.sssnet.com/jcowan/f1/main.shtml) and had never even heard of it before then.
I never heard of it before you told us about it.:D I bookmarked the web page to it for future reference, but I think it'll be a while until the next season for it begins with the F1CE servers going offline for the NTSC players in a few weeks.

Before I forget, congrats on winning the BMMC title HEMI. :sly:đź‘Ť

What times is everyone getting at the moment? (Pits and normal)

Also, who is racing with the "cheat"? (It's like some people using KERS and some aren't lol)

Just to clarify, I had never heard of the F1CE game before I was invited to participate in the BMMC and thanks CAMikaze, it was a long hard fought battle between myself and IC400. Oh BTW if you haven't read any of the race reports that can be found on the results page and you want a good laugh, give them a read. I think the first 5 or 6 were a joint effort but after that they started posting each one's report so all could read

Best times of 1:15.1xx two or three sessions
Average times of mid to upper 1:15's so I'm getting pretty consistant at that time.
Best out lap of 1:11.3xx = SSMMOOOKKIINNNNN

and I'm using KERS...............but only on the front stretch :sly: and I didn't know about it before y'all started talking about it :D

Codemasters reveals F1 game details

By Simon Strang Thursday, April 23rd 2009, 07:28 GMT

Computer games manufacturer Codemasters has revealed details of its officially licensed multi-format Formula 1 game to AUTOSPORT.

F1 2009 will be released in the autumn for the Nintendo Wii and Sony PSP, while a higher-spec F1 2010, with HD graphics and a more sophisticated gaming mode will be launched next year for the Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3 and Windows.

The new game will be the first to feature world champion Lewis Hamilton, since the Briton had not reached grand prix level when F1's agreement with Sony came to an end in 2006.

F1 2009 will use all of this year's cars, teams and tracks - including the Singapore night race, the Valencia Marina Bay circuit and the new Abu Dhabi season finale. The game will also include KERS, slick tyres and the new aerodynamic regulations.

In-depth race simulators are rare on the Wii and the format does not lend itself easily to the concept, but Codemasters is convinced it can deliver promising 'new standards for immersion and authenticity' including a full season, individual arcade-style challenges and a multi-player format.

The PSP version will allow wireless multiplayer, while F1 2010 is expected to take full advantage of Xbox and PS3's thriving online gaming communities.

"Codemasters has a great heritage when it comes to racing games and their reputation is second to none," said F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone. "We're working very closely together on the upcoming Formula 1 titles and are very impressed with what we have seen."

Formula 1 world championship leader Jenson Button added: "F1 computer games and circuit simulations can be invaluable for racing drivers so it's great news that our fans will also be able to experience the BGP 001 through this game."

**** sucking mother ****ers. 2010?!?! :grumpy::ouch::crazy::guilty::yuck:

:idea:The thought just came to me, but pretty much too late for this season.:guilty:

I don't know if it would be too late to create a PSHome Club for our series. Had any of us thought of it sooner, it would be kind of neat to have a place to meet up for virtual drivers meetings before the races. And during our time inside the clubhouse there would be racing footage playing on the screen above the front stage.:D

After we have or final race of the season, would any of the NTSC drivers be interested in having a few pick-up races before the F1CE servers in our part of world go offline?

I just got a 1,16,1 and was using the cheat.

What i want 2 know is if kakundoo or shaggys team mate was in front of them would they let there team mate through so they have a chance 2 win the championship.

Just did a quick 5 laps and a normal lap was a low 1:14 and outlap was a low 1:10 with the glitch.

Very easy to get a penalty on an outlap đź‘Ž

I would let them through although they are not my team mates. I will keep well out of the way.

No way! :guilty:

My best normal lap so far has been a 1:15.518 with no draft and my best pit lap is a 1:11.9xx.
If you're a second quicker than me after only 5 laps practice then I guess there isn't much chance of beating you on race day and with yours and possibly Shaggy's pit laps being quicker than mine then there isn't much chance for a fastest lap either :guilty:.
So if Fishfash wins (obviously) and I come second then Shaggy will have to finish in 7th, which in my opinion is VERY unlikely, this is not looking good for my Championship hopes whatsoever. :nervous:
