My best time so far this week at Brazil in light rain has been a 1.12.368 but i can run pretty consistent 1.13s so i feel pretty good about my chances here .

Wow thats quick. I hope people in the PAL champions are somewhere near my times or ill be racing on my own at the back of the field.

That's phenomenally quick. I suck at this track, I know where I'm losing all the time but I don't know how to correct it. The senna S is one of the weirdest corners in the game. I'm gonna have to really practice to make sure I secure third place.

HI guys,

Just want to say thanks for a great race and apologies to appie, I saw you take the bend on the outside and had momentum, pace and a good line and we clashed side by side :guilty:

Never really got the pace i was hoping for but managed to somehow Q in 3rd place. Pure mayhem at the start i got hit from behind and returned to the track in 9th. Somehow managing to battle back to 5th, later on a clash between Appie and LewoY (i think) managed me to sneak into 4th and i was behind Lew trying to find a overtaking spot.

Pushed to hard on one lap and this gave me a penalty. With few laps to go i think Lew eased off or caught a pen as the gap was down to around 2 sec and i got very close just never had the opportunity.

Never saw Shaggy and Kak they were clearly another pace for me. But overall a great first time race for me. With a little more luck i could have been on the podium :)

Looking forward to Brazil 👍

I've noticed a bit of a glitch at Interlagos in that I have seen many drivers going well wide at turn 12 and using all the run off to take a much shallower line and much more speed through Juncao (turn 13). Can we outlaw this now? It is the fastest way to drive no doubt, but it is an extremely gamey tactic that is just exploiting a bug in the game. Anyone seen doing it should be disqualified unless they were forced off the track IMO.

Seriously Zeroduck, how are you that fast? My 1st outlap was a 1:12.5, and you're able to do it on a regular lap, which is about 4 seconds slower? How in God's name are you that fast? That's probably even faster than fishfash would be with the wheel at one of his best tracks.

Did a 17 lap practice session and my fastest was a 1:16.2, most laps were 1:17's............GULP.

If you want to outlaw the Interlagos bug then the 4th gear bug should also be outlawed.

Why? That's just a way of driving and it's impossible to monitor. In the Juncao case, obviously it was a total oversight in making the track. They assumed that if you were to run that wide that you would lose a lot of time without realising that you can actually make a lot of time by using the run off. Otherwise they would have made it a penalty zone. It's the equivalent to just cutting a corner completely and getting away with it IMO.

What worries me about administering this rule is that who is to stop you from doing it in qualifying? You could always do it and then slow down on purpose to give a realistic lap time as you cross the line, but still be fast enough to gain a big advantage. I'd say nailing that corner by using the run off probably gains about 2 seconds lap time.

Well the 4th gear is a glitch and cannot should not be compared to a driving style. Do F1 drivers on the strart grid jump onto 4th gear ? The 4th gear gives an advantage over people who don't use it. You cannot pick and choose what glitches to ban. You either ban them all or none.

If somebody wants to run wide to gain an advantage then let them. If the game does not give you a penalty for executing a glitch then so be it.

Just my opinion btw. :)

Oh and I would say the advantage is around half a second with the Interlagos glitch.

Agree with Gyles, here. Easier to let it go. Same with the gear bug. How can you judge it?

This was kinda weird, because at T1 with Sureshot, he hit me but he drove very fast then. I guess there was a lag bubble, cuz i felt somone hitting me

:(
Sorry man, I thought you did what I often do at that corner and just go in to hot and the back slips out. I was never within a car length of you...

My boy DUCKis extremely fast on all circuits. He started from the pit lane in most of the races and beat the crap out of us. He is very unselfish too, I've learned a lot from him. No offense RACEcar, but I have my money on DUCK.

I'm glad the NTSC drivers are getting recognition from our PAL drivers. That means we are getting more competitive not only putting a fast lap but doing so consistently. I wish we could have a real World Championship, PAL and NTSC racing each other. Unfortunately, it wont happened on F1 CE.

Yes, i've discovered the glitch isn't quite worth what I said it was, about half a second to a second seems more accurate. Still, if you were to stop the 4th gear glitch, then you would also have to outlaw braking whilst accelerating (something which I never do on purpose) or the random draft that so often occurs, or any other number of glitches this game has. The fact is the game is unrealistic and these things that would be impossible in real life are just another way of going faster in F1 CE. The similarity is that none of these can really be monitored properly, unlike the Juncao glitch. Using the Juncao glitch is just using a different route around the race track. I don't think it's as black and white as 'use all glitches or none at all'. We're trying to have fun but also trying to make it as realistic as possible, and since the 4th gear glitch is impossible to stop, and yet this is, I think it should be outlawed. Think of it as just asking drivers to use the proper race track, it's not a big ask surely?

Anyway, I'll go along with it either way but I want to know the verdict sooner rather than later so that I know which race track to practice :grumpy:

Yeah he's fast for sure, but me and him tend to be roughly as fast as each other and yet at this circuit he's 4 seconds faster than me. That's what i'm so amazed by.

Dont worry Sureshot, it wasnt that big of a deal either:)

Finally ran a 'good' race. Only 2 4 sec penalties and 1 8 sec. Ran in 3rd for a while until those happened, let monfongo by, then just tried to be consistent and maintain 5th, ran 1:34 flats for about 12 laps in a row, then things got a little hairy with 2 laps to go when I wrecked on t4. :scared::crazy: . Luckily I had a big enough gap on Lofaz. Finally cracked the top 5. :)

As you mentioned earlier it can't be monitored during Qualy, and it can also be used during the race when when no one is looking

So practice with the Glitch.

Some of the NTSC guys are extremely fast. There was a Clan I think called the DAKILLAS, who were like rockets.

I see them on every night almost, been in a few rooms, they are fast, but no faster than the top guys in our championship. We are all a lot faster than a lot of people I run into randomly online. I ran a few China GPs for fun Saturday and was P1 no problem and I get my butt kicked by over 1/2 the guys in our NTSC championship. :dopey:

The Interlagos glitch is going off the race track though over the white lines, alot different to the 4th gear glitch.
I still say outlaw it.

If you guys can have a few brazilian supermodels policing the glitch, let me know :dopey:. Otherwise, there is no way to outlaw this "glitch" there are other tracks where you can do the same, no one complained because everybody used them to his/her advantage. (i.e. between T7 & T8 at Hokenheimring; T8 to T9 at Magny-Cours). F1 CE is full of glitches and non sense penalties, we all know about them and race anyway.

This track is far more difficult in light rain. Especially the braking zones in turn 8 and 11, so I will need to find a way of getting those right, without going too slow.
Also, after having a go at this "glitch", although it may be about half a second quicker, i've also noticed and experienced that you have to get it perfect otherwise you run the risk of going onto the grass at both sides of the track, which makes you lose that time, if not more.

Well don't worry, I've pretty much done all I could and it looks like its his. I'll just have to settle with finishing 2nd. I pretty much threw it all away at Shanghai and Suzuka just deepened the hole so I know its his. At least I can say I had the pace to fight for the championship and I did try.

But those are both faster if you can go through them straighter. If you don't then you're just using the run off area so as to not lose speed, but it's still not the ideal line and not the quickest way through it. The Juncao glitch is a bit different in that you use the run off area preceding it to set yourself up better for that corner. It would be one thing if you were using an extra car width, but in reality you're veering way off to the right using about 20 extra metres of tarmac to approach the corner at a completely different angle. It just seems like such a blatant short-cut to me in comparison to the others in the game.

I can't believe you are giving up while tie for 1st. :indiff:, we all had bad races, or bad luck (as Massa about it). I've been logged out of races where I know I was going to be on the top 3, in fact, I've been logged out going first (look at the results at Istanbul, Alonso (me) finished 5th. running as AI. I got logged out on lap 15. I recorded a 8th. place finish for that race) You just had a couple of bad races, DUCK had a bad one in Monza, you never know. You guys are tie for 1st. hello!!!

For some reason despite the evitable, I feel compelled to actually try practicing all this week. I don't whats the point if I already know whats gonna happen, but maybe part of me doesn't agree with what I said.

I know, seriously, quit feeling so sorry for yourself, it's getting ridiculous.

And not only that, all you need to do to win is to beat Fastduck! For me to win, I have to win, get the fastest lap and have Shaggy come 4th, I think mine is just a tad harder, but i'm still optimistic that it could happen.

Well excuse me for expressing my feelings at the moment, which to you is me feeling sorry for myself. Looks like I failed to notify anyone about this(of course everyone knows now) but I'm a hot head when crap happens that is completely out of my control. Its one thing if I screw myself out of contention, but its just sickening when all goes perfect then Bam!, all gone. I admit that some races were my fault, I made mistakes that I should not even be making, but the fact that something happens to me all the while I'm doing everything right does not and will not ever sit well with me. The moment I need it most it just quits, why I will never know and it has consumed me for quite some time. Sorry that my venting is grinding your nerves, but I've chosen to let it out here rather then the expensive route that involves buying a new controller because the previous one didn't survive my tantrum so thats what your gonna get from me.

Kakundoo

You know what, I think I really needed that. Here I am making this out to be a big Mountain to climb when your the one with alot more work to do and I'm ready to say "screw it". Forget what I said earlier, I'm gonna show up at brazil and even if I lose, I'm gonna lose fighting for it. Thanks for telling me that, I'm just gonna devote all week to this now.

Now I feel loads better with all that aside
