You think the Wii has the capabilities in it's hardware to compete with the PS3?

Next generation console isn't defined by the PS3. Like I said, different capabilities for a different audience and different demands.
Its still a next gen console, it just doesn't have the same target audience.

It seem that Ferrari admits to breaking the rules (paragraph 57) in the past and the FIA agrees that they knew (paragraph 58)

The point with that is, the FIA are saying it was always legal, if someone had appealed back then they would have said the same, so the point is that Ferrari are trying to argue something that is legal is now illegal just because they don't use it.
Not that they liked Ferrari cheating - they just never were cheating in the eyes of the FIA and Ferrari are trying to appear to "come clean" in order to make it seem illegal.

So its rather funny actually.
Ferrari: "We used these diffusers back then and they were illegal, so they are still now!"
FIA: "Erm, but they were always legal."

Also in terms of playing F1 CE i only started playing around Feb. Now have regular meet up with mates. I love interlagos but not sure how il compete. I think i can get around 1.12 on the dry. I could be wrong. Il be practising in the rain today so look forward the challenge

That obviously isn't the point of the Wii though....they aren't making it amazingly capable, just more open to an audience that until now hasn't been taken advantage of beyond the DS.
In my opinion its for the benefit of gamers in the end anyway because it makes people more aware that video games aren't all evil and less stupid misunderstandings about other games will happen (fingers crossed). Its helping get rid of the negative image of gaming.

Well guys, tonight is the last race in this championship. I just want to say i have enjoyed racing with ya'll. It's been a pleasure. I hope we can finnish off this championship season with some good racing tonight. If F1 2110 ever comes out looooooool If there is another F1 tournament i would like to be a part of it. We have a tight battle in our championship, i hope you guys can give us a break tonight and let RACECAR and ME (ZERODUCK1) fight this thing out , i know some of you guys still want to win a race , and i hope someone new does win, i just ask that ya'll let us settle this between ourselves, we both have fought really hard to be in the position we are in now and i hope we have a good battle tonight. While I've had my downs, I've had fun too. This is my first ever online championship ever and its been a blast to be in contention for one first time out. Its also been fun racing with so many of you guys and watching alot of you improve. I'm gonna put all my effort into this and hope you guys can give me and duck the room we need. I also wish good luck to the guys on the other side of pond in their bid for the championship. I hope the next F1 game allows us to have a True F1 world championship.

Well, PMs sent, the last ones for a while. It was once again great fun organising this (despite my moaning lol) and I hope to organise more like it in future, be it for F1 09/10, GT5 or something else. Sadly we won't have another NTSC championship again in F1:CE so enjoy the last race while you can!

I must say my thanks and gratitude to those who helped me organise this or those who helped disarm some potential arguments. To name names (but not necessarily all, as I can't remember everyone who helped lol):

I'm pretty nervous about this last race lol.
I would also just like to say that I have had an amazing time racing with everyone here. It has been a great 18 weeks and I have enjoyed every moment of it and for this to be my first Online Championship and to be fighting for the Championship at the very last race is...just incredible. I never thought at the beginning that I would have been able to improve so much!
It has been a privilege to race everyone here (despite some of my stupid little whines about silly little incidents lol) and I hope we can do some more Championships in the not-too-distant future because I will miss the thrill and excitement of racing you all!

Good luck to everyone in tonight's race and hope you all get the result you desire (although not everyone can win lol)

And of course, I think we should also say a great big thank you to Ardius for organising this Championship and giving us all a great time!!

Well not a great qualy for me, didn't get a good lap in.

First corner I'm hit and spun by appie dropping me down to the back.
First lap loads of people go off and I move up a bit.

Later on kak comes up behind me into turn 1 get's past with the slip stream, I lift off early as not to hit him off, yet he still spins off anyway so I waited for him.

Looks like theres a crash up ahead of me then between kak and some others and I'm back ahead of him.

I make a couple mistakes and he's back up to me going onto the straight I got to take the inside line but he was already there with the slipstream so another crash.

I get spawned back on the grid and straight away get rear ended by king I think, up in the air with the rev's going mad, and I go flying into the back of kak, never seen anything like this before.

Was no one's fault that I got plonked right on the racing line at the fastest point of the track.

Crazy race, been fun though.

Interview with Kakundoo:

Where did you come overall?
DNF, I didn't finish because I retired with 4 laps to go as I was a lap down and severely pissed off.
What happened?
Basically, I started 3rd, not a great time but I knew the pace of Shaggy. Into turn one, I was smashed off, which put me last. I caught everyone up and then I had a collision with Appie I think after a fair overtake. I caught everyone up again and after getting in front of LewyOs, he smashed into the back of me. This happened another two times with LewyOs and after that, I was a lap down from Shaggy.
After my second pit stop I hit the wall and was so pissed off that I quit.
Did you think you could have won the Championship here?
No. Shaggy was too quick to come 4th or below, but our pace was very even. I remember having a small battle with him as he was lapping me and it was just a taster of what could have been if the race hadn't been so unfair. I could have come 1st or 2nd.

EDIT: LewyOs hit me first, then it was Appie after I caught them back up. Don't know about who hit me at the start though.

What aload of crap. Qualified 6th didn't fly off the grid for T1 and i see loads of crashs so i got round them so i was 2nd by the end of the lap. Gyles was close and took me a few corners later i bump him and had 2 wait ages for him (think he was letting everyone through). So we was miles behind after pit stop 1 we somehow caught everyone and i was running 4th catching sureboss. As i went in for my last stop when the speed limiter come on it spun my car in2 the wall. So i had 2 go round 2 pit again this time it put me in 1st right at the entrance of the pits and slowly went it. That ruined my chance of 3rd and cost me dearly ending up in 6th place.


Congratulations 2 shaggy for becoming the champion.

And thanks 2 Arduis for setting this up and letting me drive with you guys its been real fun. Can't wait for the next championship with you guys.

First of all I would like to say a big thanks to Ardius for organising the Championship and Congratulations to Shaggy and commiserations to Kak.

First and last lap in Qualy was a 1:17 & a 1:18, but the second lap was a high 1:14, enough for a pole That really was also the story of my race as well, times ranged from a low 1:15 to a high 1:17, very inconsistent.

Thanks to King and Mr Happy waiting for me, but very unfortuante for King waiting for me as I had a rear puncture and the car was undriveable and I was looking for a wall to respawn, sorry M8, you should have carried on

At the start I let everyone go and decided to start the race last. Got to the first turn and there were tyres flying all over the road. Also I would like to ask you guys a question, this race was really between Kak and Shaggy, could we all have done the same and given Kak some space

Anyway I somehow finished second, see you guys in the next championship if there is one 👍

I know and im really sorry Kak. This is the 3rd time this season that he blames me for his mistakes, anyway... I had a comfertable 2nd place, but then out of nowhere i spun it. No idea why.

BTW, a quick one. When u were behind a other driver with the spray and all, did you felt the car missing a bit of downforce and u had to brake a bit early to not smash into it?

You were directly to the right of me, I had the inside line, yet you still drove into me hence me spinning to the left and into the barrier, because you hit me from the right.

Read my post, first time I was about 5 metres back yet you still span off, not my fault the game has a hige lag bubble, I was very far away from the back of your car.

You then came up the inside of me on the straight when already knowing I would take the inside line.
And then like I already said got dumped on the racing line at the fastest point of the track and got rear ended hitting me into you.

You then hit me around turn 10 with an over optimistic passing move.

Tbh, my first overtaking move was enough to get passed you. I slipstreamed you down the final straight and I was clearly right in front of you, but you hit into the back of me and gave me a puncture, I spun and crashed into the wall.
The time again with the final straight, I had no idea you would be so close to the barrier and didn't realise it would spin you.
I don't see how you could have spawned and gone straight into the back of me, I was looking behind me and you were way behind me and just drove into the back of me.
